Mustang GTD did 1 second ahead of spectator stop watches beating the AWD Hypercar ZR1X by 9 seconds. Is GM just going to take this?!

it’s a very limited production car that can only be bought via invitation.
you have to apply to ford and prove you will track the car regularly, or they won’t sell it to you

What tires it is running?
Basically all super cars these days run Cup2s since they are the fastest euro legal tire available.
I wouldn't call them cheater tires.
If they were using a DOT slick I'd say cheater tires though.

>Ford says that the Mustang GTD Competition "will only be offered in the future as a special edition, with a street legal model available in strictly limited, serialized quantities."
So it's not a street legal car and likely not on legal tires.
They turned the wheels inward to avoid anyone seeing the slick tires.

most of these track cars are shit on the street. the GT3/GT2 RS were driven around the ring almost completely stripped out with no sound deadening and would be absolute shit to drive on the road hearing the loud buzzing of the engine against your ear drums.
the only car that would be pleasant to drive on the street is the C8 ZR1. it's the fastest production car you can actually daily drive.

Even the most extreme trim C8's are still comfortable enough to daily drive or take on a long roadtrip. It is after all a glorified golf club hauler at heart. Which is why it's pretty fucking stupid to think that it's impressive that a $500k race car beat it slightly.

I've driven a GT3RS on back mountain roads.
Ride quality is absolutely fine.
A old guy in race with has a GT2RS, GT3RS, GT4RS, GT4, GT4 Cup, and a turbo S.
He says he works tech but idk what tech jobs pay that much

it's only impresses when the less expensive car whoops a more expensiver car
GTD costs twice as much as zr1x.
plus misha says the zr1x can do a 6:39, which is faster than the GTD, so the corvette wins
