I really wish PHEVs had gotten more attention. Most of my driving is under 40 miles round trip, so a PHEV with 50 miles or a little more of all electric range would be perfect. Load the fuel tank with ethanol-free gasoline and stabil and I'd be set. But it would have to not have any lockouts that kill the ICE part of the drivetrain if some portion of the EV fails, and the battery would have to be standardized or made of standard components so replacing it down the line wouldn't be retardedly expensive or outright impossible. And it would have to have enough market penetration so I could buy 5 year old examples at reasonable cost.
Fuck.

Now, I'm nta, but $6k not installed for a 2013 Volt battery pack doesn't really say much good.

EVs are simply better. Everyone that has ever driven and owned a good one will agree. And most of all they're improving at a way faster rate than ICE cars. The EVs of today absolutely BTFO those from just five years ago. Now imagine an additional five years passing. EVs will be superior by every metric possible.
Meanwhile ICE cars actually get worse. You shouldn't be driving an ICE car made after 2019 anyways. All the gay emissions laws and hybrid faggotry have made modern engines into unfun abominations.

PHEVs are the absolute worst. If you mostly can go off the electric range, then just buy a real EV. Charging every day gets really tiresome. PHEVs are also very awkward to drive. The car keeps shifting between two drivelinds making the driving very unpredictable and lame. The ICE is often gutted and choked as shit without a charged electrical motorbto boost it. It's not the best of both worlds, it's the worst of two.
t. Owned a PHEV, sold for real EV after a year

evs are better for most average people just commuting and buying groceries. vws are for the average people. The only catch is of course the price, but hey, that's their economical problem not a problem for chinks or gooks apparently

This but put VW EVs in the same category as the ICE because German EV industry is laughing stock compared to China's.
Their best engineers abandoned Germany for a reason.

Phev's are popular in Australia. Long distances make EV's impractical for many people. Mitsu sell plenty of pic related.
