>>28975913 Worse. They'll have to trade in their soulless electric transport appliance and be forced to learn to drive stick. Still in a Chevy Cavalier is fine though.
>>28976440 It's illegal to have any cords on, above or below the sidewalk in most cities. The little box is probably a water shutoff. Adding charging ports to the existing above and below ground power lines would cost billions.
>>28976440 Why, so we can accelerate the forced march to soulless electronic transport appliances that very few people actually want? Why should anyone work anything out for the small number of retards that willingly buy them?
>>28976443 That would require fuckload of coring, trenching and extremely expensive thick wire. Plus most people's breaker panels can't even handle charging an EV. You would need to be pulling power directly from the power lines. Even most modern neighbourhoods being built can't handle a 100% EV adoption rate capacity wise.
>>28976444 I don't own an EV and nor do I plan to buy one anytime soon. I'm just trying to be practical about it. Here's a setup they install in Suffolk England. It's just a gully strip.
>>28976564 100% On-road parking fucking sucks, imagine coming back from work and being unable to park outside your own home. A driveway is non-negotiable must when buying a house.
>>28975855 >unplugs your car Sorry, it's not whether or not you're using someone else's power, or because I find electric cars negative in some way, it is just because I am inherently possessed by a trickster spirit and am forced to perform any hi-jinx, chicanery, ne'er-do-welling, pranking, tomfoolery, shenanigans or monkeyshine that I happen upon in order to satisfy the fay spirit's will.
>>28976458 >>28976697 Don't worry about getting shocked if the handle is insulated and you aren't touching the metal. Worry about the explosion you cause when you cut multiple live conductors at the same time.
>>28976564 In some places, roadside parking isn't free-use. It's "public" only between something like 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. If it's 7:30 p.m. and the guy who lives at that street number comes home, you gotta move or the council will tow away your car.
>>28978180 >Honey! Its 7:30pm! Go find and nag the man that parked in front of our house until he leaves so we can finally charge the car. Yeah. Much better.
>>28978316 >Go find and nag the man or just have them towed at their expense? tow truck drivers LOVE fucking people over, it's their whole business model
>>28978326 I don't know in what country you live in but in most cases to have vehicle towed you have to first report it to the traffic police, who then must come to the scene and verify that yes, that car needs to be towed and then for them to call whatever towing service they work with to come and tow the vehicle. This whole procedure can take hours and in the meantime the offending vehicle is free to leave the scene. All of this just so you can park two meters closer to your house so you can charge your car. This is a self inflicted humiliation ritual. I don't judge, people have their kinks.
