When did custom wheels become this expensive?
I remember when $800 a wheel was absolutely top.

Thats one ugly wheel. Get better taste anon.

What makes them better than an ordinary wheel?

>Why is this lightweight motorsport grade wheel with a 2,100lb load rating expensive.
Anon, that ain't a fake roll forged wheel.
That's shit you slap not street legal slicks to and race with.

Not much, really.
It's just one of countless ways for retards who have more money than brains to flex.

Just a 3x difference in strength.
Not that ur poor ass can afford to track your car though.

This. Poorfag cope is hilarious. It's always that or value.

I'd agree with you but 4/5 times it's the show-off retards who buy them. Proper race teams have their wheels custom made.
>>
>>28976870
Also, unless your car has been stripped to bear metal and each corner has been weighted, there isn't a point in going ultra lightweight since the rebound adjustment must account for the weight of the car.
>>
>>28976897
No race team has custom made wheels. Maybe custom offset, bore size, of an existing wheel from a company they partner with, but every race team pretty much uses 5 wheel brands. OZ, BBS, Forgeline, and Rotiform and wheel specifics are likely part of the rulebook in a good number of series anyway. Having a "custom wheel" would be pointless it's the same fucking thing they're already making, a wheel is not a complex enough problem to demand in-house engineering like a formula 1 turbo with a 150 million dollar budget.

There are significant benefits to less unsprung mass even if you don't get your shocks revalved which is quite cheap anyway and offered by literally every reputable damper manufacturer.

Also what race car or serious track car is not stripped and corner balanced? These are things that are decided before the car is even built.

>isn't a point in going ultra lightweight since the rebound adjustment must account for the weight of the car.
Well that's not true on any account.
That information is just completely wrong.

Lightweight Wheels improve ride quality and handling on anything from a race car to your bone stock Honda Civic.
You can't overcome unsprung weight with just rebound.
Who's telling you this bullshit?
>>
>>28976927
Speed of compression and rebound also depends on the weight of the vehicle since it is the spring which carries the load in both directions.
>>
>>28977110
as in, you cannot have a fast suspension in a heavy vehicle

because we made America so great again that aluminum from China now costs twice as much as it did just a few years ago, make sure to thank our based republican voters for giving us this reality next time you're in line for food stamps and your monthly gas ration.

They are forged which makes them stronger pound for pound. Otherwise nothing. Just get some heavy ass rally wheels and they'll take a beating better than this ricer shit.

honestly your gay little system deserved to be burnt to the ground because it hollowed out the country. ha ha

Trump did nothing wrong with tarrifs.
Can't import everything and expect a economy to work long term.
I've personally seen a huge uptick of US factories making shit they never did before.
Lots of plastics and plastic injection molding surprisingly enough.
Painful short term, good long term.

But Trump being a Jewish ass kisser is an actual issue.

I agree completely. Bought my car with 16kg cast wheels. The day I bolted on 4kg TE37's, it was a revelation.
