Yes. Good fun. Keeps the wind and rain off better than any tent.

Many days have been spent infiltrating, exploring and camping in the zone with various anons. Almost always without trouble.
We did have a fright once when we were awoken by the sound of munitions testing in the site next to where we had camped up.
Whilst a wilderness camp is unparalleled, there is also something very cosy about sitting round a campfire in an old oil drum sharing a drink with fellow stalkers.

And of course one cannot forget the joy of a meal shared in such conditions

Initial image (>>2864072) is in some sort of minecart/hopper circuit for an old coal mine. Can just see our camp on the bottom left.

The the subsequent ones are from some sort of ammo storage bunker or big ammo shed type thing from a 20th century munitions factory.

they exist in the states but have a much smaller presence and kinda slip in between the other dreg types, they are more scamy than stabby, all the usual gibs fraud obviously but also retail and personal injury, also the kind to walk up to you at 3am at a gas station and talk you into buying their stolen shit, not a mugging, just being aggressively retarded.

once or twice a week i go camp out in a building that's part of an old manufacturing complex near me. barely been touched by other people despite being abandoned close to 20 years now. been thinking of cleaning up the building i usually stay in to make it into a sort of hobo fort.

How hard is it to find relatively untouched abandoned places?
Every abandoned place I've ever been too has just been wall-to-wall grafitti, trash thrown everywhere, and needles.
Makes it not a not very enjoyable experience.
