This past weekend I did a 15 miles hike in a canyon with vans shoes (that's all I have considering they have more grip that my 8yo worn down running shoes) and I had a few close calls almost twisting my ankles, not to mention my soles are bruised all over now.
Is there a pair of shoes I could hike with, wear daily (so with an understated design, I wear straight cut jeans and slacks) and if possible run with (concrete, country trails, no more than 90mn at 7-8mph). I don't need it to be waterproof, it would be great if it was under 100 usd and available in black or beige.
I am looking at trail running models (aren't the soles gonna be too soft for hiking)?
The hikes I go on are usually rocky and slippery but I'm nothing too hardcore.
Thanks. In exchange please accept this funny webm.

Most durable, consistently comfortable and trail sticky shoes I've ever owned. You get what you pay for.

This is like asking "what model Miata will haul 5,000 pounds of mulch and sleep 6?"
If you cant afford a second pair of shoes you should be taking courses at the local community College in your spare time to get a better job instead of hiking

Generally you shouldnt wear down hiking shoes/trail runners with daily use and especially running on concrete but if so then any pair of trail runners will probably fit your retarded jack of all trade plan. If you want to save money and you ddo in fact lilive in the US then try looking at what Sierra has in stock

I wear a Discovery pair, in light brown, so far pretty good. I've went to two hikes (15 miles total), no blisters and I used them casually too.

Walking, and especially running, around on concrete in urban settings is going to quickly wear down the lugs that making hiking shoes effective.

Vans makes shoes with hiking soles and they have a line called Ultra Range that are better suited for outdoors. I used to have a pair of Ultra Ranges but they were kind of lousy. They were better than regular vans or sneakers but way worse than actual hiking boots.
Vans has different shoes with vibram soles though you could look into those.
