Lovely photos, mate. Never had a cat meself, but my mother. Took care of her and first ever bounded to an animal. It's a special language. I am grateful to have been able to feel it for some time. I sincerly hope your Rupert is doing well.
>>4476321 >>4476319 Looks as good as m43 if not identical. Not quite full frame kino (probably cant be, even if it were possible phone normies like 28mm, compressed DR and over sharpened detail)
>>4476322 >>4476324 >>4476323 these are very cool photos at sunset, rupert is doing very well thank you hes right next to me purring. i had another cat luke which died in his sleep from a heart condition probably and hes buried in my garden here is a nice shot of luke at night
>>4476480 Theres at least five people here out of /p/‘s 12-24 users who just had their purpose in life shat on by OP. His phone has the SAME image quality and rendering as a $1500 lumix g9ii and $1500 leicasonic f2.8 equivalent noctitron.
Their entire hobby was predicated on the fact their tiny sensor camera and overcorrected lens did not merely automatically make their photos better than phone snaps, but the same as the ones taken from a real camera. Their gear was all that mattered to them and they needed some hefty delusions to prove it.
One time this guy with a dog did the same, he had a tiny sensor camera of his own and he took photos comparing it with his phone and his real camera using equivalent settings. The phone looked the same and the real camera looked better. They ran him off the board with bestiality themed harassment.
>ti>4476483 I didn't read your whole rant, since you are one of these 12-24 users that enjoy to repeat themselves, but man, you got problems. Did a m43 camera touch you in a difficult way? Have you been mouthfucked by a m43 tele lense? Or maybe worse.... beaten and assraped. Because anything less can't really reason up for your never ending vendetta against this system. You should relax and make your peace with all the things that dont concern you
>>4476480 There is no such thing as a good pet photograph. It's that simple. You have to go to a cool place and take a picture for it to be a good picture.
>>4476497 There is a such thing as a good pet photo. Some of the pet photos here are 10x better than all the "landscapes" (dingy eastern europoor shacks with dull colors due to darktable+m43) and "wildlife" (iso 3200 aka 12800 sparrows) posted in /m43/ tho, and the average /p/et /p/hoto is definitively better than all of the street slop shot by winogrand and his 100% jewish imitators
>>4476483 They still have meltdowns about huskychad and 8x10 german shepchad entirely unprompted. It's funny. They even threatened to dox them and followed them back to /an/ to harass them there.
This isn't even a new thing for /p/'s little cult of micro four thirds fanboys. Before them, /m43/ was irrationally mad at ambush and sugar. Ambush did the exact same thing 8x10 shepchad did and casually mocked m43 fanboys while using vastly superior, and unironically more affordable and relatively equally portable gear. Sugar did the exact same thing huskyfag did and dumped a bunch of his snapshits in an /m43/ thread that was mostly just charts and delusional talk about how full frame was btfo by "equivalence".
/p/'s history doth repeat itself. /m43/ has always been angry about gear, and at least two people have always shit on them a little too effectively.
>>4476503 It's harder to take a good photo because they dont stay still i kept making a noise so he would look up i will take some more and try get some good ones
Here's a series I've been meaning to collage and post for a while. Shots taken on my shitty phone. Since the seal of posting cats and being mean spirited has already been broken ITT, I'm not concerned about the usual /p/ negative nancies.
>>4476578 Very cute as well! Would be lit if Rupert and Java linked up, that'd be collab of the century no cap. Are you using colored lighting, or is that all color grading?
>>4476588 Java is a flighty little loner and wouldn't care for the link up. Keep it. While I am a fan of heavy color grading and split toning, this is purely colored lighting. Everything else (except the collaging itself) is straight out of the cameraphone.
>>4476309 I wouldn't mind taking few nice pics of my cat, however I do not have a cat (or any other pets) and I have no plans of getting one. I obviously won't go outside looling strays either.
Good thread OP. Rupert is a handsome guy, and looks like a character. Here’s my guy, he’s not a cat but pretty close. I don’t understand the gear bitching itt, just post a photo you took, it’s literally that easy. These mutha fuckas should just email each other instead of spoiling every thread
The name of your cat reminded me about the existence of King Crimson's Lizard and for past 20 minutes I've been listening to some really great music, with Prince (the title is now official btw) Rupert here >>4476319 joining me on my screen. Thanks for that. Alas, I have no pets of my own, and only can contribute a stray or two.
>>4476319 You caught a nice moment here. I think it would be better if you brought up the crop to a little bit below where his feet would be, behind the blanket, and maybe bring it in just a tiny bit on the right so there's a little more focus on the empty space he is looking towards.
>>4508614 You can apply most of the same rules of portraiture photography. Since animal faces are less expressive than humans, I recommend emphasizing other aspects of the lighting/environment. You should also try to capture them in mid-action - that's where the most interesting poses, gestures and expressions are found.
>>4476309 You will never know me but I wanted to say thanks. I was planning on ending things and took one last look online and found the torrent of rupert. I don't know how but it changed my mind. Whatever else happens in life know you made a difference in this world.
Why is every picture in this thread lacking any sort of creativity or artistic intent? They're all just basic pictures of cat with varying degrees of image quality. The bird thread is 1000 times better than this garbage pit of uncreativity.
