I'd be interested to see a snapshit submission thread where we each all take post our favourite snapshits, because let's face it that's moslty what we do here.
Do it within reason, so nothing with a flash, nothing staged, within the last year etc. Snapshit should be moderately interesting to win but anything fundementally good is disqualified. Any rule of thirds faggotry and you're IP banned and so forth.

I'm more surprised it wasn't already a thing.
Maybe it'll incentivize me to actually build a dark room to scan my own photos instead of sending them out for 3 weeks and a pretty penny.

Do a broad theme that is more conceptual than specific, so it's open to a wider variety of subjects.
Examples could be something like a specific emotion, geometric patterns, repetition, etc.

We used to have monthly challenge threads (as a week is honestly too short) but the OP left after a few years of running them. They were honestly pretty good, but some of the challenges were also a bit too difficult for enough people to compete in, so that lessened how many people contributed.
