When Trump was given office in 2016, he inherited
>a government that was the undisputed, sole hegemon of the world
>a defensive alliance that no one doubted would come together in mutual defence
>a petrodollar that all the world's oil trade was used for
>a system of soft power that was respected
>america's word being as good as gold for treaties and agreements
And, then, when he leaves office within the next few years all of this will be greatly diminished. He didn't build any of that, but he certainly squandered it.
