There's 3-4 aussie anons who have hobomaxxed, started in tents in the middle of nowhere and built themselves houses and shit from hard rubbish and junk from the tip.
Only one is a full squatter as far as I know though, the rest just bought worthless land in the middle of fucking nowhere.

I think it's funny how you fucks who have never camped a day in your life think a tent is some kind of life hack

Silly Norwegian, you have to own or lease the land to place a tent on it without being driven off or arrested, and if you own the land then you must pay property taxes on it in every state that isn't Michigan or Florida.

Foraging for plants and shrooms especially is the dumbest thing ever. There was some hippie guy on Leddit recently that accidentally ate a bunch of poison hemlock because he thought it was wild carrot. He miraculously survived somehow, but if you did that you’d die for sure. I also knew a guy who ended up in the hospital ER because he ate some mushroom he thought was safe. These things are trying to kill yoj and it’s just fucking retarded to go foraging for them unless you’re an expert. Vegans love to ignore how dangerous plants are and how totally safe meat is.

NY here. Am about to buy a hightop ford camper van. Plan on living in a few spots the walmart parking lot/back of my local bar/American Legion post. Somebody said the diesel engines were not good in those models and I should just go with gasoline. Plan to move to Florida so I can live vanlife until I buy some property. Maybe Punta Gorda.

I was thinking about having pic related built on the family plot (it's manufactured in Hungary and would've cost around $100k), but there's so much red tape around these things here that I eventually gave up and bought an apartment for twice as much twenty minutes from my mom's

Make sure you're in a rural area that's chill, this is illegal in most states. Certain states allow you to camp up to 14 days a year.

Half the month I spend on my land up in the mountains living out of my SUV. Land has a small garden and a creek. Quadruple check you have good neighbors or live so far out it doesn't matter. The worst thing about living out of your vehicle is laundry, which I go out to do every week and a half. Do you have a good battery for your electronics? You using a fridge? Solar has worked great for me on the west coast.
Be careful with a van that's TOO large. Many places are clamping down on vanlife because they trash the parking lots or set up shop there for weeks. Be sure to rotate places you sleep at night, I usually would do hotel, church, or busy strip mall parking lots. I'd always park front row, right under a street lamp if possible.

I want a boat to live on and sail the Mediterranean sea. You can usually stay in a countries waters with a cruising permit, but you have to show a passport to the ports of entry if you want to visit the restaurants.

>started in tents in the middle of nowhere and built themselves houses and shit from hard rubbish and junk from the tip.
Literally me but in the US Midwest. I own the land and there are no building inspectors here. It's hella comfy. I got a nice prebuilt 300sqft cuck shed after about 6 months in the tent. Got dogs, chickens. raid catchment, 1300 watts of solar, a BBQ grill, and I even built a small 10x10 tool shed next to my cabin.
I still have to pay gay jewish property taxes but it's like 200 a year on my hobomaxxed land. My cabin isn't on a foundation so it's not taxed as a house. I also live on a private dirt road about a half mile from public road.
>>536661944
Low key there are cryptids and skinwalkers in my woods but I've blessed the land around my cabin and the ample crosses keep them away. But I never venture into the woods at night, never ever. They mostly come at night....mostly.

5th wheel is the only safe way to go. I was driving north from Florida in spring snowbird traffic during high winds. Saw one camper blown off the road in Florida and one in Georgia. Was just pieces of trash left of them. Hope to God the morons didnt have family back there.
Towing big campers with a hitch is retarded.

Did it for a couple months while motorcycle touring America.

Got it for 1k. Value adjusted for inflation was 85k in 1997 lol.
Pulled it with a 2001 f350 7.3 I got for free after my.boss said I could have it if I fixed it jokingly.
Oil leak at turbo pedestal I think and went over the top of the pass at 15 mph but made it.
Its a special triple axle version of the 5th wheel and right at the tow limit.
Then my dumb ass pulled these two she'd kits which were over my total tow limit but was just careful w brakes.
Its a great base camp but it was disgusting inside. 5 people were living in it full-time. A whole family with dogs and holy fuck lol.
It beats renting though. They want nearly $1500 for a one bedroom here

I actually had family who had some massive cabin built similar to this. Was very cool and awesome but had one very significant downside. Somewhere, unbeknownst to us because it really wasn't visible the way they built it, there was enough cracks and spots for bugs to get through.
Well let me tell you, the night we stayed was like snakes on a plane but with swarms of mosquitoes. Absolute hell on earth that night. We still talk about it to this day

that's a nice interior. friend of mine has an old 'cheap' smallish trimaran like picrel that allows him to anchor for free in lagunas like formentera has. can't get in there with a sailboat. living on the tri is basically much like living in a tent. goes like a rocket when sailing, but forget about comfort and clean clothes. it's pretty good for picking up girls i might add.

>Smush a piece of the mushroom on your wrist. If it irritates your skin is posion.
No fucker of the dumbfuckers lands, not only this advice is garbage is lethal and I'm gonna explain why cause I'm an expert mushroom forager IN LOCAL AREA
1.there are not general advices, not a single piece of general advice about mushrooms is true, there are mushrooms that take 24-48hs to start killing you by melting your liver, some other are more instantaneous by an old anaphilactic shock, some other make you bleed to death etc.
2. You are an expert in foraging or you are death meat: there are no room for errors in foraging, is the equivalent to extreme sports for people who max intelligence and perception, any room for doubt means leave the mushroom behind and study the fuck more until you are sure what specie are you picking
3. No shortcuts, no AI: quite self explanatory but AI is extremely bad at identifying our teach you about mushroom, even regular books about mushrooms are bad at explaining mushrooms because long story the scientific part and the foraging part of mycology have been at war for like 70 years, to learn about foraging you need to pick specifically the books that are about foraging and even more the books that are SPECIFICALLY ABOUT YOUR LOCAL AREA mushroom world is already fuck enough to lost oneself in foreign mushroom
4.even when you learn everything you need to have an acute and I mean REALLY ACUTE eye, a small difference in colors could mean death, example some mushrooms may be white color and the poisonous cousins might be concrete white color
5. SMELL: foraging may be one of the few situations were good smell sense is useful, some mushrooms can be identified by smell but you need to know what are you smelling, again need to study

It’s a sacrificial test build, but whatever would destroy this would destroy a camper or RV anyways, and this costs a lot less and can be rebuilt as it is for under $20 of materials. If I scavenge the wood shingles, I can probably make another one within a few weeks

unless you have a friend or a relative you can "bum" an address off of, you can't:
get a job
get a car
get a bank account
get a cellphone
and many other things that require an address
they say this is all "voluntary" but in reality, you are forced to pay rent/mortgage in order to do anything, else you can be homeless and have nothing.

You could save up money, buy some undesirable and/or risky land, whatever quality car you want, then you can start being a tentchad for less than 5-10% the cost of a house and if you realize this young enough, you’ll have a place to call home 40 years before normgroids normally do.
OPs not asking you to go full “Into the Wild” but rather to minimize your exposure to financial jewry

>>
>>
>>536668166
land is fine but it still does not count as a "home address" and you'd still have the same problems. you'd need to build something on it (or buy a mobile home) and pay the associated taxes/fees that go along with it, let alone anything else like electricity or sewage. you may as well just rent an apartment at that point.

>Hey bros what’s the best way to find shrooms in my area
Just ask one of your friends or literally anyone you know who is a stoner or listens to jambands. I guarantee that they either have a shit ton of shrooms and will be happy to give you some, or will know someone who does. Ever since Colorado and a couple of other states legalized shrooms, the market has been absolutely flooded everywhere because it's so easy to grow shrooms.
It's not worth it to go wander around in cow pastures trying to find wild shrooms, you can go to any random town in America and find shrooms with zero effort.

You don’t need to do that at all where I am. You go to the county emergency services and ask for a “911 address”. You give them proof of your deed or they just look it up and verify it with your ID or license. You give that address to the post office and ask them where to put a mailbox. They tell you, you install a mailbox, you’re done, you have turned land into a home. You can now slap that address on everything and anything, get mail, etc.
If your emergency services require a structure in order for you to get an address, you live in a gay area for queers. The post office doesn’t care, but if you don’t have a structure then you’ll have to go to the post office or some other hub for large packages, since there’s no doorstop for them to leave packages at (or they leave it at your mailbox anyways, pros and cons if they do that).

There are "Indigent Resource Providers" (non-profit agencies) that can provide documentation and a mailing address for homeless people to use. Literally everything has some kind of system or procedure in place for dealing with homeless/itinerant people who don't have permanent home addresses. Stop commenting on things when you clearly don't actually know what you are talking about.

wrong. i spent $65k on a house and life is way less stressful when you can never be evicted and dont have to constantly work to pay rent. i spent my day tending my garden.
