I like that Darby won. I even get the story they are trying to tell. But having him essentially squash MJF was a bit much. Overall, I seem to like it more than most do. I just really hope they don't have it on Darby long. That would be a huge mistake. He's much better chasing the belt than actually having it. A long reign would expose him. I think the easy (and best) choice would be to immediately bounce it back to MJF on the next PPV or whatever. As he can heel it up and claim Darby just had a fluke win, and it doesn't count, etc.

It makes sense in the context of the story. The story being that MJF went the distance with Omega on Sunday and barely scraped by with his title. So Darby beats him easily when he's at 1/4 his normal shape.

That said, it's kind of a dumb story especially with Darby. Darby's win should have been a big build up moment. It's a long time coming but doing it so soon after Dynasty is weird. Wonder if MJF is hurt or something and it was a last minute decision? If that's the case, idk why they picked Darby now? MJF is a tweener so put it in a big monster heel, then have Darby beat the heel in a big moment.

Probably because Darby's isn't actually all that invested or interested in pro wrestling so they're giving him it tokenistically because he had to have it eventually
Wouldn't be surprised if he dropped it straight back to MJF or just had a short underdog reign to put over a new guy working heel
