If you had a roster like the Attitude Era roster today, where every guy from the main even to the bottom of the card was over, then there wouldn't be space for women to be taking up that much time on the show and only the most of the most over of them would get some time. But everyone wants to be "cool" and have ""good matches"" and get over on the internet instead of doing what gets over for a live audience. So now you get what you get. It's not that women are the problem so much as it that whenever they do a gimmick match for the men they do one for the women too. Womens rumble should be on its own card, putting it on the same show with the mens one turns what used to be the best wwe ppv of the year into an unwatchable slog

Not really a full on women's division where they wrestled but rather a special attraction to see hot women and their tits. Sable becomes popular enough to warrant bringing the title back. Chyna becomes enough of a spectacle in herself that you can put it on her. They both needed people to wrestle so now you've got Jacqueline and Ivory and Luna and Tori etc around and before you know it Trish and Lita are coming in. Then you've got Molly and Jazz and Victoria and Torrie and Stacy. And all of a sudden there's this group of women who can get through a match and actually want put a decent one together. That only continues to evolve with more names coming along pushing the quality of those matches and standards higher and higher until you reach where things are today. It 100% was a natural change. And in fact if it weren't for Madusa taking the women's title and dumping it in the trash, effectively killing women's wrestling in the WWF for a period, then WWE's women's division would probably be a good 5-10 years ahead of where it currently even is now and closer to what you get in Japan

WWE books women as a gimmick match. They don't do it like the Japanese or beans. I saw a match in Mexico where the crowd was 100% into the chick's. Good moves, hard hitting, great interaction between the heel and the crowd. Very cool actually. It can be done If they let the wrestlers do their styles and not put them in the standard WWE cookie cutter women format.

Big companies can do it. Watch the no DQ match with willow and Skype blue from a few years ago. They can be exciting. The one it took 10 minutes to cut skye out of the barbed wire. Hilarious they worked on her through the pip commercial break and after.
