I enjoyed EGA vs. EGA.
WWE has thrown away all the goodwill that 2024 gave them.
Hate AEW
Won't watch any other english speaking wrestling
Will not watch NJPW until they get their shit together and cut ties with AEW
>>
I still recognize its Sanctity.
>>
>>20626890
I enjoy watching old wrestling
>>
>>20626890
Not really. It's boring for the most part. Nobody can wrestle now so there's no point watching the matches. No story so no point skipping to that.

Also doesn't help that they are still doing the same tropes from decades ago. Every normal pin is done by hooking the outside leg so when they hook the inside leg you know there will be rope break. I don't get why they do shit like that.
>>
>>20626890
I mostly just watch my local promotion due to knowing a few guys on the scene and wanting to support them.
>>
I love Tony Khan.
>>
Only STARDOM
>>
>>20626890
I enjoy it better when I just watch it and don't come here and read shitty opinions on what I just watched.
>>
i've shifted my video editing to davinci resolve and it's really rejuvenated my interest in posting webms or i guess it's mostly mp4s now

The last time I watched was Wrestlemania, I always mean to check out the weekly recaps but then I never do. Most likely the next time I watch will be like Summerslam. Feels kinda mindbroken that I still follow what is going on in wrestling and with wrestlers, but I don't actually watch any of the shows
>>

The Japanese and Mexican wrestling is fun. I don't understand the language, so the ring action is the draw. I love the indy stuff ansmd AEW for the entertainment value. WWE is frustrating because the have great talent and resources and just repeat the same stories and matches. So I'm going to give raw and smackdown a rest for awhile. Just keep up to date here and on review shows. Not worth my time for right now. Sad. Wrestling is my only goslop entertainment.

sometimes but not really
I enjoyed the EGA match like most people but I'm smart enough to know to not expect that high very often.
I still watch old matches sometimes, i was really into watching old AWA stuff last year, been getting into peak Misawa NOAH too but i watch like one match a week
sometimes i'll watch highlights from WWE and AEW youtube channels but only if they're posted here
that's about it really
>>
>>20626890
I don't like any of the current product
I've been watching since 1990, so at this point it's more interesting to go back and check out the stuff I missed.
>>
>>20626890
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. There's been way more downswings in the industry than there have been upswings, going through lulls is nothing new to me.
I have my guys and gals that I like. If they're booked and not being treated like complete shit, I'm can live with it.
>>
>>20626979
I heard Smokey Mountain is on Tubi. Is it worth checking out? Im about to finish my rewatch of Lucha Underground and wanna check out some older shit too since current shit is mostly worthless

Idk man… I’m not feeling much of anything anymore
>>

I only watch joshi these days. And before someone starts in, it ain't like that. This isn't like actual sports where it's a competition and men can perform on levels women can't. It's dumb scripted entertainment with physical acting. The joshi leagues are more dumbly entertaining than the guys right now. And yeah, they're easier on the eyes which is nice as well.
Still, women will never be better than men when men are at their best. If and when men's wrestling gets its shit together, I'll gladly go back to watching that.

i still love watching old wcw Nitro episodes or ECW/WCW PVP on my second monitor while playing games
>>

It’s the last thing I enjoy.
I’m either watching wrestling or going into nature and hiking

Every single one of my interests have been taken over by the same crowds that once mocked it and these interests are now catering primarily to these crowds and have dropped tremendously in quality because of it. Craft masters are gone, everything is nepotism and nostalgia, and is one of the reasons I don’t watch WWE anymore and haven’t for over a decade.
Storytelling is dead in the west and nothing can be told without being filtered into identity/racial politics.

There is still plenty wrestling out there. Also I have my local indie which is always fun. I always recommend people to visit theirs drunk and/or high especially if their passion is dying. It’s the truest way to watch wrestling since it has always been redneck mudshow circus garbage at its core. I’ve never had more fun watching wrestling than at my local indie.

>Storytelling is dead in the west and nothing can be told without being filtered into identity/racial politics.
this just isn't true though, you're just looking for it and finding it in the most mainstream american slop
>>
>>20626890
I still enjoy Stardom, TJPW, AEW and AAA
WWE not so much, I actually avoid that ad spam fest with meaningless matches.

>>
>>20627210
It is true.
Everything made has to have an aspect to appeal to a tribe.
Eastern storytelling doesn’t have this issue in general because they are all the same bug people. This is why eastern storytelling has been dominating the west for the last decade and a half.

Yes I enjoyed AEW most weeks, New Japan when I check it out. Can't watch much more wrestling than that though
>>
>>20626890
Yes. I can watch the most scuffed indie shit on YouTube and go "heh, that's pretty good." I'd never say thay, because I know when it's factually not good, but it's still good to me.
>>
>>20627221
I enjoy storytelling from all over the world and regularly read stuff that isn't about idpol. I avoid american media for the most part which helps (wrestling and some music are pretty much the only exceptions to this rule)
>>
>>20626890
yes, I enjoy AEW and JCW weekly. I'll watch some classic WCW too, I luckily never seen WCW before so it's all new to me.
>>
There's a poster on this board who just started doing WCW gamethreads (with streamed shows). Might be fun for anyone who's ever been curious about WCW but never had a chance to check it out.
>>
>>20627252
Dope what were the last 5 movies made in the last 5 years you really enjoyed that didn’t fall to identity/racial politics and comes from a multi-ethnic western country?

I’m honestly asking because I wouldn’t mind watching them.
>>
>>20627308
When does he do them? If he can keep a regular schedule, ill try to check them out.
>>
>>20627309
I think he's doing the next one next Monday at 8pm EST.

>>
>>20627351
Why would he do it during Raw? Any other night of the week is better. Raw is the last weekly show that i still have interest in. Guess i should have known it was an anti-WWE fag getting off on keeping people from watching Raw. Smarks are such bizarre creatures.
>>
>>20627395
Honestly, everyone should have a healthy anti-WWE sentiment until it’s out of TKO’s hands.
>>
>>20626890
I only watch Pre PG-era.
Even late Ruthless aggression is garbage (after 2007)
>>
When I watch I can usually pick up something from any show that I enjoy. The problem is getting myself to start watching, and sticking to watching it. Watching a 2+ hour wrestling show when I could just play a video game instead is rough, especially when it comes to weekly TV because they give you so many opportunities to tune out with commercial breaks.
>>
>>20626890
No
>>
>>20627404
Why? Firing dimeless shitters and pricing out poor retards is based.
>>
>>20627473
When dimeless shitter is really “anyone not celebrity or someone we can get nostalgic value out of” you have a problem.

Pro wrestling at its core is FOR those poor retards. It’s always been mudshow. You lose the plot entirely when you forget about this crowd, but considering how the message told to this generation of wrestling fans is “just be born in the right family” I can’t say I’m surprised.
>>
>>20627521
It feels like TKO is trying to morph WWE into UFC, where it's a "prestige" brand where they milk rich marks over actual fans. I don't know if it'll work, but the fact they let some rich dude just sit at the commentary table doesn't bode well.
>>
>>20626890
Not really. Just come here to shitpost and make fun of virgin simps.
>>
>>20626890
I enjoy talking about with my dad. Watching it not so much.

Here and there but current wrestling isn't doing much for me
