With the Tournament of Power brought to a close, the Seventh Universe has emerged triumphant once more. Led by the Saiyan warriors, the Seventh's victory was secured. And with the wish on the Super Dragon Balls used to restore the other universes that were eliminated and erased, the final hidden trial was passed, and all eight of the universes up for elimination were allowed to remain. Yet, even with this victory, peace doesn't last in the Seventh Universe for long. As old hatreds rise and long-buried grudges resurface, will you have what it takes to keep everything you've worked the last 28 years of your life to build? Or will those who seek your end ultimately triumph? That all depends on you, and your choices.
You the players will (most often) control Karn. A Saiyan man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a mid-tier Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the indisputable winner of the Tournament of Power. Wielder of the Berserker Soul, and the powerful Stand Divine Dragon Force, you're fully equipped to handle any threat that comes your way. But what will you do when the threats aren't always physical, when you can't simply punch all your problems away?

“He can't keep this up forever.” you mutter, realizing that Goku needs help. And so, with a thought you reach out, scanning Conton City until you find the one man who can make a difference. After all, if one Goku's not enough, then perhaps the magic number's two? And so you reach out telepathically, trying to reach Goku with your mind to draw him to the battle. “Goku, we need your help. Are you busy?”
“Busy? Trunks, I'm fighting Karn with everything I've got.” Goku replies, you realizing you reached out instead to the Goku in the ring, not the OTHER Goku who calls Conton City home. “What other trouble is there?”
“Sorry, was trying to call the other Goku over. So you two could combine and take him on.” you reply, feeling a sudden surge of displeasure through the telepathic link. “Your power doesn't work against him, and if you tried to fight him with just your non-divine powers you'll be squashed. Let's even up those odds, by combining you with a Goku who isn't inherently weak against this power!”
“No way. This is MY fight, I'm not anywhere close to done yet!” he replies, weaving a powerful combination then leaping back, shattering the ice that had begun growing on him. “Besides, I've nearly figured it out.”
“Figured WHAT out, how cold you can get before freezing solid?” you ask him, confused. “His power's CREATED to destroy those using godly powers!”
“Just watch, Trunks. I'll find the way through his cold. I just have to burn hotter than even his cold can chill!” he replies, leaping back from Karn once more as he ends the link. But this time he doesn't rush back in, instead clenching his fists. Divine aura blazing wildly as he charges up. “HAAAAAAAAA!! HRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”
“What is he doing? His aura froze before.” Komand'r wonders, but as you glance over, you see Fu smirking. He clearly understands what Goku's going to try and do, and is eager to watch this play out. But you're not sure it'll work, so you keep reaching out telepathically until you connect to the other Goku currently in Conton City.
“Goku! Goku needs your help!” you think to him, feeling your mind connect to the right Goku this time. “Hurry to the arena, behind the school. He's fighting Karn.”
“Karn?! He's HERE?!” Xeno Goku exclaims, you sensing his power surge. No doubt dashing over, ready to help his alternative timeline counterpart. “On my way!”

“HAAAAAAAAA! HRRRRYAAAAAAA!” Goku roars, his aura blazing higher and higher. His aura so bright and powerful it fills the entire arena. However, as he does, Karn's icy power grows in response. And in a matter of seconds, the entire stage is filled with their two powers vying for dominance. Half the arena engulfed in steam, blazing white-hot with Goku's Instinct. The other half icy, freezing even the barrier around the arena itself as the two powerful Saiyans keep pushing their powers to their absolute limits. “KHHHRYAAAAAAAAA!!”
“Yes, wonderful! Subarashi!” Fu shouts, clapping excitedly. “More, more! Show me more!”
“Woah.” Xeno Goku says, flying to a stop beside you, witnessing the power struggle going on down below. The audience, realizing something's wrong, that this powder keg is about to blow, start screaming. Taking to the air or just running up the stands and leaping off the back, getting away as the barrier itself starts to tremble and shake, reaching the limits of what it can contain.
“This is bad, it's gonna blow.” you say, certain it's not going to hold their enormous, dueling powers back for much longer.
“We need to get clear!” Queen Komand'r shouts, dashing away at full speed. Clearly not intending to die in the blast she can see coming.
But what do you do? What can you do?
>Tell Goku to get Chronoa, get Mechikabura, get Aeos to come down and help you contain the blast. That you'll hold it as long as you can, but he's got to hurry
>Ask Fu if he can stop them, if he has any way to lessen their powers, to stop this from going nuclear and laying waste to the city
>Tap into your own divine power, your divinity as an Apprentice Supreme Kai of Time and stop time, to try and stop them both before things go any further out-of-control
>You can't stop this, all you can do is get clear and evacuate everyone you can

“Fu! We have to stop them, before they destroy ALL of Conton City! The barrier can't take much more!” you shout to him, your own divine aura blazing as you prepare yourself to help, to try and reinforce the divine barrier with your own power as well. “do you have any way to stop them, to lessen their powers? We have to stop this from going nuclear, or they'll lay waste to the city when this shield blows!”
“Hmmm. Well, I might be able to stop Karn from going nuclear. I think I can stop this.” he says, hair suddenly standing on end, power surging hundreds, maybe even thousands of times over as he transforms. His sclera turning red as he takes on his dark mirror of the Super Saiyan transformation. “But I'm going to need your help.”
“Of course. What do you need?” you ask, the barrier below audibly cracking.
“We both know Karn can't be snuck up on. I'll need you to distract him.” he says, drawing his blade. The powerful weapon radiating with demonic power. “I just need you to raise your power as high as you can, as Goku teleports you both in there, in between them. Try and talk him down, hold his attention while I use my secret technique to limit his power output.”
“Right.” you reply, but then you suddenly have an idea. Instead of powering up further, you instead power down.
“What are you doing?” Fu asks, eyes widening in shock. “You-?”
“That power works on a divine foe.” you say, ascending to Super Saiyan 3 instead. “We'll probably do better if neither of us are in divine forms.”
“Good thinking.” Goku replies, ascending into his Super Saiyan 4 form before raising his right hand to his forehead and turning to you. “You ready?”
“Ready.” you reply, nodding to him, reaching over and placing your right hand on his left shoulder. “You tell Goku to power down, I'll talk to Karn.”
“Done. Let's go.” he replies, teleporting you both through the barrier. One moment everything's fine, the next you feel like you've stepped straight into hell. Your back is being scorched by molten heat, while your front is being frozen by the coldest air you've ever felt in your life.
“KARN! YOU HAVE TO STOP!” you shout, releasing Goku and waving your arms overhead. “END THIS, NOW! YOU AND GOKU ARE GOING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING!”
And as you shout at Karn, he blinks in surprise, eyes widening as he recognizes you.
“Trunks?” he asks, as over his shoulder you see Fu's slashed spacetime portal appear behind him. But, in that same instant, his expression changes. You see it, he's realized Fu is there.

And before you can react, Karn moves. You can't see what happened, not at this level of power. But one moment he's facing you, the next his back's to you, holding Fu not by the throat, but palming his head. Holding the much shorter demon up off the ground with one hand around his head, the other wrapped around his forearm and wrist, holding his sword at bay as you hear a crunch. The sword's aura vanishing as it slips through Fu's limp fingers, clattering lifelessly to the frozen ground.
-Returning to Karn's POV-
“Fu.” you say, voice low and dangerous. “I think I've just about had enough of you.”
“ENOUGH!!” Trunks shouts from behind you, ascending back to his divine form. Which you sense and IMMEDIATELY turn your head back towards him. “Karn! Put. Him. Down. He was only here to make sure you didn't attack me. Power down. Right now. Or do you want to destroy this city a second time?”
As he asks this, you suddenly realize the arena stands are completely empty, no one is around watching this fight. They all took off, you realizing how closely you'd come to losing complete control in this battle with Goku and potentially destroying Conton City all over again.
Well? How do you react?
>Apologize and release Fu, then try and power down. Then figure out why Trunks and Fu of all people are collaborating
>Tell him they have to power down first, you're not getting hit with a cheap shot by someone thinking they can hit a lucky shot the moment you're powered down

Realizing what's going on, you immediately sigh out, dropping Fu.
“Sorry, Trunks.” you reply, taking a deep breath and closing your eyes. Sighing out slowly, willing yourself to power down. And you can feel it, first the icy rage retreats and the fiery passion of the Berserker Soul's emerald power blazes. You realizing that emerald power is like a seal, the warmth and fury of that fire keeping the icy core of your powerful soul at bay until it is needed. The emerald aura of your Berserker God form blazes up around you, melting the ice away off of you. Your body starting to tingle like static, realizing only now that while you'd been fighting, your entire body had gone completely numb. “Brrrrr! Fuck, that's cold!”
“That power was pretty intense.” Goku, the Goku you'd been fighting says. As you now see TWO Goku, the topless one clutching his ribs with a wince as he steps forward. “Tsss! Aaat-t-t-t-t.”
“Easy. Here.” the other Goku says, reaching into the pouch tied to his sash belt, tossing a bean to his other self. Then, turning, he tosses one each to you and Fu as well. You catch the bean in your hand, Fu catching his with his mouth. Looking at the bean you hear Fu crunch his, then a moment later bends down, grabbing his sword and sheathing it back.
“Not gonna lie, you got me good!” Fu says, both hands resting casually behind his head as he walks around you, towards your front. “And, gotta say, seeing Lifehunt up close and personal like that was awesome! Though, I wasn't expecting it to be aimed at me.”
“Huh? Lifehunt? What's that?” you ask him, raising a brow.
“What he's saying is, he understands not only where but WHAT the Berserker Soul originated from.” Trunks says, and then he and Fu begin to explain what Fu had discovered. Revealing to you the origins of your own power, the truth behind this newfound depth of your strength and how it was conceived, and why this frigid power is so unbelievably effective against the divine. How the ancient Evil Saiyans had somehow stumbled their way into into tapping into this power in their quest to find a power to battle the Super Saiyan God, a strength which you have now made your own. And as you learn all this, a certain calm settles into you. Knowing what your power originates from, somehow, settles something deep within you. And now that you know what your Berserker Soul's root power is, and now how to really use it, you know exactly what you're going to use this newfound, ancient power for.

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoy this episode so far? Did you enjoy witnessing Trunks' pov, seeing Karn's power from another perspective, and learning about the origins of anti-divine power in this reality? Did you think Karn and Goku's match would end like this, with both of them still standing, or did you believe that one of them would have ended up dead? Are you ready to return home, get back to New Salda and back to your daily life? Do you think this newfound depth to the Berserker Soul's might will make a difference against Granolah, or will you not need this power against him? All this and more, when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues at noon EST, just under 12 hours from now!
>>
>>6420716
Honestly, had they not intervened, I firmly believed we would have killed Goku. Either way, we're definitely running this back sometime, preferable somewhere that isn't crowded with bystanders susceptible to getting frozen or melted by the battle itself.
As for this new power and using against Granolah...I don't think we'll need it. That's assuming there's no outside intervention of course, and when the fuck has that ever happened? Regardless, I am looking forward to putting that long standing grudge to rest.
>>
>>6420732
It's entirely possible. His entire build is designed around his divine powers at this point, so your Lifehunt is the counterplay. He can't even attack you effectively, his only option was to try and outlast you.
>>
>>
>>6420716
Not going to lie, having it cut early was a letdown, a REAL letdown, but we probably would've killed Goku and basically everything else in a 100 mile radius had it continued. The origins are a real shocker though, didn't think Beserker was THIS strong. And as for Granolah, I want to believe it'll have SOME impact on him. His newfound power was granted by a divine dragon, after all.
>>
>>6420296
> However, you see his eyes widen in shock as the ice from your first punch on his side suddenly grows in reaction to this. The ice rapidly expanding in reaction to his aura, and his very energy itself begins to freeze around him.
>“Wh-What?!” he exclaims, watching as his aura starts to turn solid and encase him. “M-My strength, it's... It's draining?”
That is incredible. What an unexpected property of this power.

>“Haah, hah, heh. Not gonna lie, this new power of yours is real tricky.” Goku replies to Karn, shaking the ice off himself so it stops draining his power. “Can't stand and trade blows with you like this. So, guess I only have one chance to take you down!”
I wonder if this encounter will cause this Goku to try to empower his mortal side more?

>“ENOUGH!!” Trunks shouts
>Power down. Right now. Or do you want to destroy this city a second time?”
This was an incredible battle. Imagine if Karn and Goku were in a place where they would not need to stop their fight. What a fight it could be.
>>6420716
>And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoy this episode so far?
Yes. Very much.
> Did you enjoy witnessing Trunks' pov, seeing Karn's power from another perspective, and learning about the origins of anti-divine power in this reality?
Yes. A lot.
>Did you think Karn and Goku's match would end like this, with both of them still standing, or did you believe that one of them would have ended up dead?
I’m not sure. Goku still wanted to do something more and Karn was not even close to showing everything he’s got. I think this fight would have become even more intense and incredible before reaching it’s end. Unfortunately the had to pause. Could one of them die? Maybe, but that would be an accident in that case. Honestly I don’t know. Does it mean Lifehunt is so dangerous that even in a friendly match there is a high chance of killing the other person?
So many questions, but eventually, most likely we will find out.
>Are you ready to return home, get back to New Salda and back to your daily life?
Maybe, possibly. Every episode is full of surprises. Maybe this time Karn will indeed return.
> Do you think this newfound depth to the Berserker Soul's might will make a difference against Granolah, or will you not need this power against him?
Unless Granolah has some insane power prepared, this might be not needed.
> All this and more, when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues at noon EST, just under 12 hours from now!
Maybe we should talk to Goku about meeting at another time, to fight again, somewhere else. This time without worrying about destroying the city.

>Somehow, the Evil Saiyans who copied that Super Saiyan God ritual to battle Yamoshi tapped into the very essence of anti-divinity, into that cold power.
Also this means Karn and Cumber are connected in some way.It would be crazy if Cumber was one of the evil Saiyans that took part in the ritual.

If anyone could, it would be Goku.

It's source being as ancient as Caulifla's Darkmoon power does explain why it is this strong. Won't affect Granolah in that way, as the wish simply accelerated him to his absolute peak.

The chill of Lifehunt, the bane of living itself is a powerful threat.
Yes.
She is there because of Karn's words to Fu. Inspired him to be more direct in his actions, to directly shape those whose potential he wishes to see.
The Berserker Soul did NOT have Lifehunt in the previous reality, that's unique to this one. Before, it was powered solely by Determination.
Can you visit? Potentially. But it requires a lot of traveling through time to find any of the scraps. The ancient painting doesn't exist any more in your timeline currently, no link exists between the painted world and your reality currently.
The painted world was a unique prison for the ancient gods. Where they locked away undesirables, with no way for them to return.
>>6420872
He's always growing. But it won't change his path to power.
Indeed. He's not focused on the 'game' of power, but on interesting to him fights.
Yes. Interesting way to spin that failure on the dice for sure.
Karn got to cut loose, for a bit. But this place couldn't contain his power for long, not in a pressure cooker with his opposite power.
Glad you enjoyed, getting to write Trunks' pov was fun.
Goku's goal was to burn hot and bright, realizing he might not outlast you. To burn hotter than the icy chill could freeze, and then attack with everything he's got.
>Lifehunt is so dangerous
It had already numbed Karn's entire body, it was slowly freezing him to death. Forget killing the other person, it could even potentially kill Karn.
Hopefully. I am eager to return myself, to reveal what's going on back home.
Perhaps.
He'd appreciate the chance at a rematch, whenever it comes.

But before you can say anything else, Goku, now fully healed by the Senzu Bean walks over. And to your surprise, offers his hand out to you.
“That was a great fight. Never fought someone like you before, with a power I couldn't fight like usual. That was a great fight, let's do it again sometime.” he says with a completely innocent smile, not holding a grudge for the ribs you broke, or nearly freezing him, or anything. You stare for a moment, then glance back down at your other hand, where the bean you've not yet eaten still rests. Wondering if that's why he's being so open and honest. But then you think to yourself that doesn't matter, taking his forearm in your hand, a gesture which he copies.
“You're pretty damn good yourself. Though, next time, let's keep that power shelved. I wanted to see if I could beat you, not keep you from fighting back at your fullest with a power neither of us fully understood.”
“Hehe, that's the spirit!” he replies, before his stomach growls audibly. “Hoo man, that took a lot out of me. I'm starving! Hey, I know. We should all go, I know this great spot-”
“Thanks, but I need to let everyone know the fight's over, that the disaster's been stopped.” Trunks says, lifting up into the air. “But, Karn. Thank you.”
“Of course.” you reply, Trunks thanking you for listening to him and not turning it into a fight. You replying in kind, letting him take off and go do his job. Leaving you with Fu, and two Gokus.
“Speaking of going, I should be. With this new power of yours, I've got a thousand scenarios I want to see. I'll be seeing you, Karn.” Fu says, drawing his blade and rending reality with a slash, leaping up to jump through.
But what about you? What do you do?

You watch Fu go, not bothering to chase after him. Letting him go, realizing he's not worth the chase. Then, turning back to Goku, you decline his offer of a shared meal.
“Sorry. But I've got my family to go get back to.” you tell him, both Goku nodding at this as you turn and start walking to the exit. Heading out of the arena, leaving the school grounds and going back into the city as you reach out to your future daughter telepathically.
“Hey kiddo. I'm finished here, gonna head on back.” you think to her. “You coming back with me?”
“Not right now, we've got to get back to work.” she replies warmly. “Congrats on the fight too, was watching it from here. That new power's crazy, I want to take it for a spin sometime.”
“Sure, kiddo. But can't be here, had to stop the fight before we blew up the city fighting Goku.” you reply with a chuckle, leaving the city behind and returning to the plaza. “Find us a place to throw down, and we'll have our fight when we both have the time, kiddo.”
“Hell yeah. I'm looking forward to it. See you around, Daddy.” she replies, the two of you ending the telepathic link. You move back up the stairs up the mountain, then head back through the portal connecting Conton City to the Time Nest. Stepping inside, going into the small building where the Time Scrolls are housed. And as you step inside, see the three deities talking in aggravated tones,
“-old you that won't work.” Chronoa is saying, annoyed. “Even if-”
“But we have- Oh, Karn. There you are.” Mechikabura says, the three turning to you. “So, enjoy your time in Conton City, Karn?”
“We need to talk.” you say, the three deities' eyes immediately narrowing. And you tell them everything, your battle with Goku, the depth of Supreme Instinct's powers you unlocked, and everything Fu told you about this power and it's ancient roots. As you explain what you learned, Mechikabura's one brow raises in interest, Aeos' brows both raise in shock, but Chronoa's brows furrow in thought. “So, I've got to ask: do any of you know about this?”
And as you ask, all three deities go still.

Aeos is the first to answer, shaking her head.
“No. I hadn't considered the roots of your power.” she answers honestly, and from her expression you believe her.
“Interesting.” Mechikabura says, a hand going to his chin as he looks to you. “So, in two different realities, the Berserker power can have two completely separate origins, yet arrive at similar results. However, in my reality, the Berserker power was not stemmed from this same root cause of anti-divine, anti-life power as Lifehunt. Interesting, that it still reaches the same results, despite the Time Scroll being cleansed.”
His eyes suddenly widen, jaw dropping slightly as he suddenly has an idea.
“Chronoa. When you purge the Time Scroll with Hakai, it would seem that these purges are... Incomplete. Almost as if the Time Scroll itself still remembers the shape of reality, and tries to rebuild itself back in the same way.”
“What? That's...” she starts, but her expression turns thoughtful. “Could it really be? If that's true, then...”
You look between the three deities, all lost in thought. Considering the implications of what they have realized.
But what about you?

What an INTERESTING choice of words...
>Stay quiet and listen, perhaps you might learn a thing or two if you can listen in and try to understand their scheming
I figure Karn has been subjected to all this metaphysical jargon long enough to be able to grasp SOMETHING. Might as well try to use our big monkey brain for once.

>Stay quiet and listen, perhaps you might learn a thing or two if you can listen in and try to understand their scheming
So if Berserker Souls keep manifesting in the Time Scroll even after being purged, does that imply that the Berserker Soul is just a natural reaction to the fundamental Divine forces that make up every timeline?

All this lore is cool, but more importantly, there's another orphan with godlike powers to adopt.

You stand there in the room with three powerful deities in their own right, all lost in thought a moment before continuing. As they talk, you listen to their pondering. Missing quite a lot of what they're talking, a lot of the HOW of things function. But, what you can understand is that the Time Scroll, even though it was cleared, can somehow remember what was on it before. Constantly trying to recreate itself, with what it has available in each recreation of reality. Chronoa talking about several of her previous realities she'd crafted, and how you existed in all of them. Sure you may not have had the same name or look, history, but that there was always a wielder of anti-divine powers born to the Saiyan race.
As they talk you stay quiet, listening to this all. Their conversation diverts after awhile, returning to your powers in each. Mechikabura talking about your anti-divine power, how your Determination changed Super Saiyan in that timeline, changing the very power itself to the emerald of Berserker. How in that time, power didn't come from the same origins, and there weren't souls of power. But after a while Aeos is the first to speak to you, the most grounded of the entities in the room with you as she turns to you directly.
“And you said it was Fu who told you this history?” she asks, you nodding. “Hmm. Seems he's been rather busy, while we've been fighting The End.”
“He's always off learning obscure knowledge.” Mechikabura dismisses with a casual wave, seemingly unworried. “I let him explore, to do his research. If he finds any powers that could be useful he's been ordered to bring them to me, but this Lifedrain-”
“No. I don't think it will work.” Chronoa says, shaking her head at the unasked question. “Lifedrain works on beings wielding the power born from the soul of fire, his Lifedrain won't work on either you or I as neither of us are FROM this reality. It may at best hinder The End, but it won't by itself be a solution.”
“We'll see. Because Karn's power isn't the same as pure Lifehunt.” he says, Chronoa looking up to him in confusion as he holds a finger up. “Remember, his power also comes from MY reality, not just this one. And in my world, his power was fueled by Determination. Combining the two, it could result in a power that might make a difference.”
“It might. But it could also be a hindrance.” Chronoa continues, her expression serious. “If he can't control that power, it could hurt whoever's fighting by his side just as much, if not more than The End itself.”

“Then I'll just have to keep training, to learn to control this power.” you say, the trio turning back to you. Almost as if re-realizing you're still there in the room, having been so focused on their conversation they forgot you were present. “And, speaking of training, I should probably get back to it.”
“Of course.” Mechikabura says, drawing out your Time Scroll. But, before he can open it, Chronoa steps forward. Her expression serious, brows furrowed and eyes narrowed as she looks up at you.
“Karn. This power you've touched, it's dangerous. Do not use it lightly.” she says seriously, holding up a finger. “The forbidden art of Lifedrain was sealed away, locked into an alternate dimension because it could spell the end of all things. You must be careful. Do I make myself clear?”
Well? How do you respond?
>Agree and tell her you understand, that you'll use your power carefully
>Say that you'll use your power responsibly, but you're going to train this new power and find its limits
>Ask if you'll be allowed to return, if they have somewhere you can spend some time training this power without worrying about hurting someone else
>Tell her you'll take her warning under advisement, then return home

>>Ask if you'll be allowed to return, if they have somewhere you can spend some time training this power without worrying about hurting someone else
Much as I might want to tell Chronoa off, she does have a point. This power is dangerous and not something we could feasibly train inside our own reality.
It would be for the best if the Mechikabura made plans to have a space and personnel set aside for use to work on mastering this power.
>>

>Ask if you'll be allowed to return, if they have somewhere you can spend some time training this power without worrying about hurting someone else
I'd normally go for fucking off with our business, but that power WAS killing us, and there are few, if any, suitable sparring partners that can hang and have a counter to our ability. Pretty sure we'd freeze over a random planet, too.

“Just, one question. Will I be allowed to return?” you ask, Chronoa raising a brow in confusion at the direct ask. “If you have somewhere I can spend some time training this power, without having to worry about accidentally hurting anyone, that'd be for the best.”
“I... You...?” Chronoa says, blinking in surprise. Only for Mechikabura to laugh, spreading his arms wide.
“Of course, Karn. We'll find you a place to test these new abilities.” he says, then gets a gleam in his eye. “You survive your battle with Granolah, and what comes after, and you'll have your training place.”
“Wait, after?” you ask, immediately worried what he means by that. “What do you-?”
“Farewell.” he says, and with a snap and opening the scroll, you're back. No longer in the Time Nest, but back home. Reappearing in your hallway, Haathe, Meloka, and the transformed Towa having no time to react. As you appear, you even see your own back for a split-second, Mechikabura's portal closing behind your older self. Leaving you standing there, blinking in confusion.
“Well, I guess that job's finished successfully then.” Towa says, still sounding stunned. Clearly still off-balance from Mechikabura forcefully evolving her Demon God powers, the new form radiating might.
“Karn, are you okay?” your wife asks, flying up to eye level, staring into your eyes. Her expression concerned, worried as she reaches out and touches you. Only for her eyes to widen, fighting the flinch, the automatic recoil from you. Her hands feel like fire, your body still cold from the Lifehunt power you'd used. “Oh no, you're freezing!”
She then wraps herself around you as much as she can, but knowing she's small turns to the other two women.
“Towa, Haathe, get over here! Help me warm him up!” she orders, both women moving without hesitation. Towa coming up to your right side, Haathe transforming into her Berserker form to be larger, and wrapping herself around your left as well. The three holding you close, their bodies burning like fire against your chilled skin. “Karn, what happened?”
“A lot, actually. Getting the scroll back was just the first. And probably least interesting part.” you say, telling the trio about Puddin being the one who took your Time Scroll, reintroducing her to her father, now going by the name 'Mr. Popo' on the planet Earth, then facing that being from beyond The End. As you describe the battle you feel Towa stiffen, shocked by your and Ace's narrow escape.

You and Ace. Battled the being MECHIKABURA couldn't defeat. And escaped?” she asks, incredulous. “HOW?!”
“Divine Dragon Force.” you reply, looking down at your currently-embraced right arm pinned to your side, Towa wrapped around you and pressing as much of herself as she can against you. “It also unlocked Ace's Potential.”
“His potential?” she asks, you continuing the tale. Talking about how Ace isn't a normal being but potential personified, how Divine Dragon Force let him start tapping into that power. Then you tell the three of your visit to the arena, the battles you watched, then your own battle with Goku and what you learned afterwards. Everyone saving their questions for the end now, and when you're finally finished, Towa's the first to speak.
“Lifehunt. I see. That explains this deathly chill that's crept into you.” she says, suddenly seeming more wary to be pressed up against you. But she doesn't back away, keeping herself pressed tightly to you instead, trying to warm you up. “Now I understand why the Berserker Soul can battle gods, its power comes from the very antithesis of life itself. Fascinating.”
“I'm just glad you're okay.” your wife says quietly in your ear, holding you close. The four of you stand there together for several minutes, until none other than Maza comes in, calling your name. But freezing in place as he sees the three women clinging to you, stopping him a moment.
“Sorry to interrupt, Father, but you're needed.” Maza says, his tone forced calm, professional. “It's the Jiralhanae.”

Weird question.
Would Karn be more susceptible to the One Ring's corruption because of the underlying rage it can stokeand the potential synergy it has with the Dark Side, or less because it has technically divine origins?
And what would he do if he did get his hands on it?
>>
>>
>>6421447
Maybe. It's strongly implied that magic isn't really something that can solve the problem of the ring's influence - if anything, it just makes it worse.
Not to mention the fact that it's not mind control, just influence over time from such close contact to a corrupt being's soul. It was never actually meant to be anywhere other than on Sauron's own finger. The effects it has on people are literally just from the fact it's his soul.
>>
>>
I've been wondering, what are Goku's Domains? Considering he just took in a huge injection of Faith from Conton's overpowered population, I imagine he rose a few Divine tiers after that.
He's a symbol of Hope in Dragon Ball, so maybe that, but so is Superman, and he is fundamentally a completely symbol, whereas Superman and Saitama are embodiments of Unlimited Power/Unfairness, Goku is the embodiment of Breaking Your Limits.
Also, could AMAZO scan and copy Lifehunt? I remember you telling us that AMAZO's one limit is that he can only understand physical phenomena, he's a Physical God is the most literal sense, he can copy the power level transforming gives Karn, but he can't copy the Berserker Soul itself, same goes for the most esoteric magics like Chaos Magic that just does whatever the fuck it wants.

>She is there because of Karn's words to Fu.
Wow. Nice. Fu immediately started acting differently after the conversation. In quest that was probably less than 60 minutes after the chat.
>Can you visit? Potentially. But it requires a lot of traveling through time to find any of the scraps. The ancient painting doesn't exist any more in your timeline currently, no link exists between the painted world and your reality currently.
I see. It’s a very difficult place to find and enter, but Fu managed to do it.
>>6420505
>“I have traveled to this other realm, found a way into that painted world. Met the first Crossbreed herself, and experienced this power firsthand in it's truest form.”
>>6420960
>Forget killing the other person, it could even potentially kill Karn.
Fascinating. So the girl who first had it was not a life form that is comparable to other living beings in universe 7 today. Otherwise her own power would kill her.
>He'd appreciate the chance at a rematch, whenever it comes.
That’s the spirit. I can’t wait.
>>6420978
>Hey, I know. We should all go, I know this great spot
I wonder if we went with Goku and Xeno Goku. Maybe we could talk about those things that time travelers use in Conton City. Where they enter a potential scenario to fight. They call it a Parallel Quests. I wonder if among those there are scenarios that would be a challenge for Karn and his allies? Or is he too strong for this type of training now?
>>6421033
>When you purge the Time Scroll with Hakai, it would seem that these purges are... Incomplete. Almost as if the Time Scroll itself still remembers the shape of reality, and tries to rebuild itself back in the same way.”
This is probably very important, but unfortunately I don’t understand the implications of it.
So even Fu does not know everything about this, since it is not identical to what the banished girl has. Very mysterious power.

>All this and more, next time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest!
Any chances to know what people from Conton City who saw the fight think about recent events in the arena and Karn?
By the way, Goku lived up to their expectations, didn't he?
>>
>>6422037
The Emerald Lord is a terrifying thought. Few know the true power of the one ring. It is not only invisibility, but the power to dominate lesser minds. To see cast your senses far and wide and see what you wish to see. To see and touch and be in the unseen realm as a physical being. To prolong one's life and to hold innate understanding of the speech of creatures born of evil. To magnify one's image into a bring of great and terrible power.
Those properties in Karn's possession would render him a force of power absolute.
>>
>>6422211
Karn's an excellent motivator.
You have to travel back in time to find an ERA where it even still exists, then track it down.
No, the first crossbreed is a half-immortal. A mix between an elder dragon and a god.
Karn could have learned of them, and there are plenty he still couldn't defeat even with this new form. Mainly endurance matches.
It is very important.
Yes. Fu's unaware of how the power from Mechikabura's reality, Determination works.
Yes. It can END you, not just kill you. It can extinguish your spirit entirely.
>>6422216
Glad you enjoyed!
Yes, there is always more to come. But what idiot would DARE challenge Karn's entire CLAN at Chilli's home for the granddaughter's birthday?
It has been busy.
Fear. They saw the monster that destroyed their homes and killed most of them, who were only brought back thanks to the Dragon Balls. Now they see Goku, GOKU, unable to win decisively? Terror.
>>6422384
Yes. Karn under the influence of the One Ring would be an absolute, almost unstoppable monster.

>>6422390
>You have to travel back in time to find an ERA where it even still exists, then track it down.
If Painted World no longer exists then this means that nothing today exists that has any connection to her.
It’s possible to sometimes find something from very far past like ruins of the First (when New Salda was called Verdite) below M'lurnian ruins, but in case of the first wielder of Lifehunt there is really nothing left.
She, her kin and even the place they lived in are all gone. That’s interesting.
>>6422390
>Yes. It can END you, not just kill you. It can extinguish your spirit entirely.
That sounds very dangerous. As I understand this means that resurrection like through Dragon Balls would not work after this. No wonder they were worried about this power.

You have. What was left of his soul merged to DDF anyways. But your appearance wouldn't change much at all, just a few new, different scars.
>>6422847
So, to clarify with a bit of OOC lore: the Painted World exists within a painting. But the painting simply acts as a portal to that world, and isn't physically the world. And as that painted reality inside rots, the inhabitants burn it down after a new painting is made by the next painter(usually one of the Crossbreed's descendants). They all flee into the new painted world, leaving the old behind to burn. However, the magic of the original painting still works as the gateway(usually only a one way, as only 3 known beings have ever LEFT the painting). But the real, physical painting slowly rots over time. And once it's gone, there is no way back into the painted world aside from certain specific magics, like the power of the ancient Lordvessel.
And yes, VERY right for the old gods to fear it. Even more than the first lord of light feared the Dark, he feared Lifehunt. Enough to commission an entire reality and established a whole sacred order whose entire duty was to guard the painting, to prevent anything from escaping that world.

That’s crazy. So they are like an isolated people inside a world that have never seen anything outside of it. Ever. Every once in a while they have to remake the world, but nonetheless they are cutoff from all that is outside.
Theoretically the Painted World or at least some new version of it can still exists even today. The original entrance to it through the painting does not exist anymore, so pretty much everyone outside forgot it even existed (except for Fu). This whole thing happened such a long time ago it is even hard to describe. There is a chance that those inhabitants of that prison world still live there unaware of anything that is beyond it. I wonder if they themselves remember the story of how it all started. Either way that is some crazy situation.
>And yes, VERY right for the old gods to fear it. Even more than the first lord of light feared the Dark, he feared Lifehunt. Enough to commission an entire reality and established a whole sacred order whose entire duty was to guard the painting, to prevent anything from escaping that world.

Also she used different word here:

You stare for a moment, then glance back down at your other hand, where the bean you've not yet eaten still rests. Wondering if that's why he's being so open and honest. But then you think to yourself that doesn't matter, taking his forearm in your hand, a gesture which he copies.
This fragment and what comes after does not mentions Karn eating the Senzu Bean. Which makes me think that he did not eat it.

This also seems to be an indirect indication that he has not ate it. He still experiences effects of using the Lifehunt. It is plausible to assume that the chill that Meloka felt would be gone if he ate the Senzu Bean.
That would be very nice if he still has the Senzu Bean. If something goes wrong during the fight with Granolah having it ready would be helpful.

Yes. And in all of recorded history, only one being born there ever left from that cold world and came to ours. And he nearly ruined everything, thanksSulyvahn.
Yes, that dimension still exists. But it was changed, a new ingredient added as the painting, now named "Ash", is different than all previous incarnations due to a new ingredient.
It is called Lifehunt. She called it Life Drain incorrectly, but that wasn't a typo on my end. She's simply old and got two old forbidden, ancient, sealed-away powers mixed up. (Caulifla has Life Drain).
>>6423125
Not yet, no. You're still holding onto it. But it would NOT work on Lifehunt's chill, as it's not 'damage' to the body. Simply a freezing of the spark of life within you, the spark OF you, until it's extinguished.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 261 Epilogue-
AGE 759, BEERUS' PLANET
“Hryaaah! Haaa! Kyaaah! Shyaaaa!” you shout, swinging your fists and tail at Whis. The angel dodging each of your strikes with ease, weaving through them all with his angelic Ultra Instinct state.
“You're still thinking before moving.” Whis instructs as you continue attacking, his breathing not increasing even a fraction as you press your assault. “As long as you're still thinking, still deciding to act before moving, you will not be able to keep up with Karn's power.”
“Tch.” you exhale, backing off a moment and placing your hands on your hips. “So, how do I do this then? What is the process to learning how to move my body before thinking? If Karn can do it, then I can do it as well. I just need to know how.”
“That knowing seems to be precisely the problem.” Whis answers you, smiling softly as he fades out of reality, reappearing on the ground, walking along the footpath. You drop out of the air, panting slightly and follow behind the angel as he talks. “You're still thinking before you move, instead of just moving.”
“Yes, you have told me this. Before.” you say, your tone slightly annoyed. “But that brings me no closer to understanding the HOW of how to do this.”
“Then, allow me to elucidate you. I shall take you through the required training, with meticulous detai-” Whis starts, only to suddenly be interrupted by something crashing down on Lord Beerus' world.
KABOOOM
“Oh?” Whis says, turning from you to the cloud of dust, raising a brow. You turn as well, looking as the dust clears. To reveal none other than Beerus' brother, the Destroyer of the Sixth Universe, Champa. Him and his attendant, the angel Vados.
“Is Lord Beerus expecting them?” you ask, Whis' head turning a fraction. Just enough to show you that this arrival is something Lord Beerus isn't ready for. Leaving just one question: why is he here?
“BEERUS! YOU TWO-TIMING RAT! GET OUT HERE!” Champa bellows, you wincing from the sheer volume of the fat cat's roar. “HOW DARE YOU!”
“Haaah. Shall we see what our 'guest' wants, Freeza?” Whis asks you with a polite smile, masking his clear annoyance. Signaling to you that you should be polite to the visiting deity as well. At least initially.

You follow Whis to the crash site of Champa, the Destroyer howling up at Lord Beerus' home. You both arrive, Vados turning first, and calling to each of you before Champa's even aware of your presence.
“Lord Freeza. Brother.” she says with a small head bow to Whis, the angel and you returning the gesture. You bowing slightly more than either angel, Vados noticing and smirking slightly. At her tone, Champa turns, looking annoyed.
“Lord Champa.” you say, giving him a dramatic, almost mocking bow, one hand across your chest and the other back behind your shoulder. “To what do we owe the pleasure?”
“You stinking rotten cheaters know damn well why we're here!” he shouts, furious. “I'm gonna find that lousy, no-good Saiyan you sent after my fighters, trying to sabotage us before the next tournament and Hakai him myself!”
“What?” you say, eyes wide with sudden surprise. Blinking in confusion, looking to Whis. Who looks confused as well, but far more composed.
“I take it you have evidence of this, of being attacked by some rogue Saiyan? Whis asks, to which Champa nods furiously.
“Show them.” he orders Vados, who nods.
“Of course, my lord.” she replies, tapping her staff once on the ground. Conjuring up the large projection image, showing the Sixth Universe's fused fighter, Kefla, battling another Saiyan. One you recognize all too well, your eyes widening in shock.
“Cumber.” you breathe, Champa's head snapping to you, raising a hand and pointing at you with a finger.
“Ah-HA! I KNEW it! You bastards sent one of your Saiyans after mine!” he declares, you shaking your head. “Don't try and lie to me, you recognized him! He's one of yours!”
“We recognize him, but Cumber's not one of ours.” you say, turning to Whis. “Would you like to show him?”
“Of course.” Whis replies, Vados raising a brow. Ending her projection of Cumber beating Kefla, Whis tapping his own staff. Showing them both the scene of Cumber attacking Karn, Future Chaya and Ace. How he turned Chaya's aura dark, corrupting her and forcing her to fight Ace as Karn battled him.
“What? Wait, why is he attacking your people too?” Champa asks, clearly confused. Not understanding the simple truth.
“It would appear, Lord Champa, that our invader isn't allied to any one universe over another.” Vados says, as suddenly there's a flash of light a bit off in the distance. And as the light ends, you feel a familiar, sinister power. No, it can't be!
>>
File: Menacing Goat.png (6.7 MB)

“Moro.” you say, eyes wide, taking an unconscious step before bracing yourself. Champa, seeing your reaction turns, looking curiously over to the other deity. And there, walking up the path is the goat man wizard himself. Accompanied by his Kai, Zamasu, and their tiny angel, Kusu.
“Lord Moro.” Whis corrects you softly as you all turn, the Destroyer approaching. Walking forward without hesitation, seeing you and Champa both there he smirks.
“Perfect. A witness.” he says, approaching Whis. Stopping just short of you all, addressing your lord's angel directly. “Fetch your Destroyer, angel. I will have words with him over his assassin he sent.”
“Lord Moro. Do you mean this would-be assassin?” you ask, pointing up at the recording of the battle ongoing, Karn using his Supreme Instinct against the time-traveling Saiyan. You watch his reaction, eyes widening a fraction as he recognizes what's happening.
“A time traveler.” Zamasu says, the Kai quickly figuring it out. “I see. Somehow, this Saiyan has the ability to travel the realms and through time, battling the strongest fighters of this era.”
“Precisely.” Whis says, only for the door to open. Beerus, still in his night shirt, yawns, rubbing his eyes with the back of one hand.
“What's all the racket?” he asks sleepily, yawning loud and deep. “Haaaaaaaaaaaah! And what are you all doing on my world?”
“They're here about that problem Saiyan who attacked Karn, my lord.” Whis answers smoothly. “It would seem Cumber's been rather busy, attacking the other universes as well as our own. It appears this problem isn't only ours, anymore.”
“Oh? Well, whatever. This isn't my problem. Let the mortals kill each other, for all I care.” Beerus says with another yawn, only for Whis to fast forward the recording, going to Hearts declaring his plan to Karn.
“I simply... Made sure he was strong enough to compete.” Hearts says, spreading his arms wide in a gesture of non-hostility towards your friend. “You must be strong, Karn. You and your power may be the key to my ultimate goal.”
“Ultimate goal?” Karn asks, clearly one bad move away from attacking. “Which is...?”
“The complete liberation of all mortals from under the boots of the divine. And the complete eradication of the gods, all the way up toGrandZen-Oh himself.”
“WHAAAAAAT?!” Beerus, Champa, Kusu, Zamasu, and even Moro exclaim, shocked. Stunned by the audacity of that mortal, to declare war on all of the gods of the universe. But you turn to Moro, watching his and Zamasu's expressions. Seeing them both realize the IMPLICATIONS of Hearts' words, not just his challenge. Showing you why he's going to be your biggest threat, once you ascend to being a Destroyer yourself.

The dogs did really well, actually. Lavender landed several poison hits early, while Cumber didn't understand what was happening. And when he went Super Saiyan to lay the smackdown, it rapidly accelerated the poison's spread and took him down before he could kill any of them. Add being unable to sense their ki and the hounds' impeccable teamwork, they won. But would all be in intensive care without Roh's Kai healing ability.

>that's why you give it your all even when the odds are in your favor
Correct. You fight to WIN. Everything else is secondary.
Sidenote, I'm glad Xeno Gohan's recognized that, even if he himself hasn't quite internalized it yet.

Cumber doesn't listen to a brief about what his opponents can do. And Lavender's punches didn't hurt, not until he spat a cloud of poison in his eyes and he was blinded. His arrogance was his downfall, underestimating the Ninth's hounds. Something Roh will be VERY smug about, learning how Cumber tore through the Sixth's Saiyans.
>>6423757
He wants to ENJOY a fight, he doesn't just want to just crush weaklings. He seeks true battle, to get the blood flowing.
>>6423762
Oof.
>>6423767
He's a complicated case. Arrogant, but rightfully so because he's strong. But too simple, and isn't built for tricky, sneaky opponents. He was forged into a deadly warrior by the Saiyan War on Sadala. Saiyan against Saiyan. He does view races who don't even match his baseline, untransformed power as inferior.
>>6423790
Precisely. That's why Karn prevailed, and Cumber fell. Karn fought to win, Cumber lost because he just loves fighting.

>“WHAAAAAAT?!” Beerus, Champa, Kusu, Zamasu, and even Moro exclaim, shocked.
Very interesting epilogue. I can’t get used to seeing Moro as God of Destruction. An official deity.
>“The complete liberation of all mortals from under the boots of the divine. And the complete eradication of the gods, all the way up to GrandZen-Oh himself.”
Isn’t that what Moro secretly wants too? Though he sworn loyalty to Universe 10, so I guess he must play his role of the deity now. Right? He is what he hates.

>By the time of Karn vs Granolah? All of them that participated in the ToP, challenging their fighters.
That’s crazy. Though that’s probably dream come true scenario for Cumber. Right? He is all about fighting for the sake of fighting and those strong opponents are what he wants.
This also implies thatDoctor Doomwas or will be attacked. I’m really curious how that fight went.
>All of them that participated in the ToP, challenging their fighters.
Does this mean that there is a chance that Chilli or Caulifa also had/has/will have a visit from Cumber?
>24 hours to go! I hope you're ready!
Yes. Very much.
>>6423736
>Add being unable to sense their ki and the hounds' impeccable teamwork, they won. But would all be in intensive care without Roh's Kai healing ability.
Wow nice. I would never expect Cumber to lose to them because of how strong he is. Yet it happened. Congratulations to the Trio the Danger for taking down such foe.

>>6423971
He was the first eliminated. He'll take the win to hold over the others whose fighters got bested by him.
>>6424053
Yeah. He's the real deal. But no, he doesn't want to liberate mortal kind, he wants to REPLACE the gods as ruler of everything.
He's having fun.
>spoiler
Perhaps we'll see?
Potentially.
Good, because the next episode is SOON
Not everyone's good for every fight. But the Trio de Danger are used to using that jump-juitsu and poisoning unsuspecting foes. Wearing them down with wolfpack tactics until their prey falls. And Cumber is exactly the kind of prey they prefer.
