Robots, what would you do in my situation desu?

>35
>single
>no friendship group after returning to my hometown
>living at home (in process of looking for apartment to buy)
>dead end wagie office job where promotions etc take years
>region is below average economically (fewer high-paying jobs, a lot of service industry min wage shit)
>spent my 20s in doomermode working long hours in an expensive city and not travelling
>feel like sperging out and making some huge move (e.g., travelling for a year, finding some kind of work abroad)

I have no idea what to do, but I feel like if things continue along this safe but unfulfilling path I'm going to be crushed by regrets later in life. I've spent the past few weeks watching videos of people living off grid, people travelling full-time, people buying a cheap house in a foreign country - obviously money is important).

If your memories of traveling abroad are based on 20s, traveling as a 35 year old alone will be a huge blackpill. Every interaction will remind you that you're too old for this shit and you're supposed to have a wife and kids.

Just get your apartment and build from there. You're going to have to move back in with your parents when they get too old to take care of themselves, unless you're planning on putting them in a home, so build an adult life for yourself while you still can. Clock is ticking.

I think you need to lean on family.
I was born in Canada, but my parents were both born in Poland, grandparents etc. So I have a lot of family in Poland, and I have family members in Poland who would put me up if I visited the country.
Maybe you need to spend a month visiting your family, wherever they are

Yeah, I get that. I didn't travel in my 20s, which is a huge regret. I travelled for the first time this year actually, on a whim, and ended up really enjoying it. I even met a couple of qts who probably thought I was younger than I am, I don't know.

Brother, I live with family (spent my 20s living alone, then my mom broke up with her partner and moved in to where I'm renting and basically took over and stayed here since).

Yeah, but do you have aunts and uncles or stuff living in another part of the world?
I get it, you live with your Mom. But I am not talking about your immediate family I am talking about your extended family. Are they all in your area or are they in some other part of the world where you can visit them for a while and learn more about your family and culture?

My entire family lives in the same area, all within 10 miles of each other. Except for one distant aunt overseas but she's in her 90s.
