one of my problems with modern gaming is how expensive games are now. i could get a ds game for 30 dollars 15 years ago. now i have to pay 70 for a game that may look a bit better but its still the same length and amount of content. it feels like a big purchase just for one game. also the fact that 90 percent of modern franchises are over 20 years old so nothing feels fresh anymore. i wish i wasnt primarily into nintendo games so these wouldnt be as much of a problem.

Wait a minute... I only play games I like!

The oldest games I still play are WoW, Project Zomboid, Grim Dawn, Terraria and Fallout and by Fallout I mean Fallout 2. Oh I still fire up Phantom Pain sometimes too because Metal Gear was once the greatest game known to man, gotta put fools to sleep every now and then and be called boss.

Every game made after Phantom Pain, around 2014, has been pretty bad.
2012-2014 was GTA 5, Skyrim and Witcher 3 and right after that gaming died. That trifecta attracted the Jewish megazord dragon and you know the rest of the story.
At the same time the Jew was taking over, AI and big tech and big DLSS and big graphics were taking over and we need to have the little blonde girl teaser trailer PRAGMATA, which comes out today by the way. Bro I remember seeing the teaser for that game like 15 years ago or something, wtf??

Anyway every game looks like Death Stranding and RE 9. Super gooper dooper booper realistic with real actors used as face scans. WOW, look at us, we can photo scan every single fucking thing! YAY!!!

Same reason most movies suck and popular music too. It stopped being a 'thing' for weird nerds. People with no actual taste dipped their toes in and went "hmmm I would be willing to throw money at this if only it was utter dogshit" and the people in control though "hmm, well I like money and have no artistic integrity, so why not?"
This is why AA and indie are the only places that consistently do anything interesting or good these days. There's some AAA shit that's fun but rarely does it have anything to say, because having something to say means taking a real stance and that will alienate potential slop-buyers. But even in the realm of gameplay they have to be a milquetoast as possible because so people with half their brain missing don't throw a bit because a game has tank controls or, apparently with modern RE "fans", even expects you to play it at all.
