Went in as virgin, didn't talk much to anyone and left it as virgin.

Same here. Everyone at uni was fucking liberal, especially the teachers (2012 btw).
They had a sociology class where we had to learn about breaking down man/women social norms by doing something the opposite gender does, like cross your legs and shit. Wtf?!
Then for art class, we watched a movie about a girl feminizing her bf or some shit by having him dress in girl clothes, and this was somehow related to art...?!?!
Spanish class we had a guy who wanted to show how rap music exists in Spain, and all he did was YouTube any Hispanic rap. It took the class saying "they're not in Spain, they're in NY" lol
I really wish I was making this up.
Would you believe me if I said I was learning medicine when we had to take those dumb classes?
But yeah, got no bitches.

I went to community college and then I finished my degree at a local state school. I lived at home the entire time, worked part time, and I never really made any friends. I guess I probably had some chances, like there were people I spoke to in classes, but I just didn't spend much time hanging out around the campus and I think that hurt my social life.

I went to law school, which doesn't require an undergraduate degree here. So the content was just pretty dry and dogmatic unless you voluntarily opteded into libtard courses specifically about women, jews, blacks, gays, etc. In general most courses were voluntary, you could pass just as well with solitary study of the textbooks. And since I wasn't forced to socialize through group projects or I didn't.

I went to school from 05-09.....

>first college is a tech school
.>2/3 female to male ratio
>in the countryside and everyone looks like shit
>so bad that a girl fucked a dude and cuddled with another in the same night
>the same girl actually mooned me and teased me, but I couldn't fuck her because she always had 3 dudes on her.
>met some amazing people who set me on the right track

>second college
>art college
>most girls are fat weebs
>most are hung up on a dude from home, want fembois, or got shacked up with a dude the first week and stuck with him throughout college
>I actually got a bj, but the girl didn't want to go all the way, because she legit thought I was autistic and it would be "immoral"
>another girl waned to hangout with me everyday, but wasn't attracted to me because I wasn't an anime femboi
>supposedly she felt bad about it, and wanted my gay suitemate, but nothing came of that.
>she is now a gender non-binary with a bad dyke haircut.
>tried to get with another girl, she was always nice to me, but she basically kept me around to keep the simps away
>gave me a handjob
>get hired three months out of college
>met some amazing artist friends that I still talk to till this day.

Got kicked out for threatening somebody. Went to community college for 5 years and worked at a c emetery. Got into art school with Pell Grants. Graduated debt-free.
>>
>>84369956
Did you go to an art institute? The schools shut down and we are debt free.
>>
I commuted the whole time so i never had a college experience. I went to class, went home and did homework, and repeat.
>>
>>84369975
Nope. Went to a state school. Got kicked out. Went to a CC with open enrollment so they literally let anybody in except sex offenders. Went to a local university after petitioning to get in due to my record. No, but my hs crush went to that one art school in Cleveland.
I used my savings, scholarships, and grants to pay my way through. Technically my family bailed me out of the first school, but i did make enough money at the cemetery that I could have paid it off by now.

I meant the artschool.
What type of art did you major in?
>>
>>84370070
Bachelor of fine art, concentration on painting. A classmate of mine previously went to the Art institute of Cincinnati. But yeah, I mostly paint landscapes. What about you, art-anon?
>>
>>84370093
Majored in Media Arts and Animation. Was mostly a 3D modeler, concept artist and video editor. Ended up being a game artist instead later on down the line, I would have been gameart; however I thought that the more responsible thing to do at the time was to join general media arts.

Nice. I am a groundskeeper and I paint outside of work. Had a few ideas ping-ponging around, but nothing big. I doubt that I will ever be a full-time studio painter, and I've thought about looking into bbackground art for animation. I am a weeb and I doubt that will pan out anyway. It is what it is.
>>
>>84370125
Gotta keep working dude, gotta painting. I have been bouncing from studio to studio, but I keep making more art and more detailed pieces to get me to the next job when I am between them. Normal gigs wouldn't hire me because I have a degree so I had to keep trucking.

P.S. fake your adress if you have to, one studio told me out right they didn't hire me for years BC I lived in a different state.
>>
>>84370189
Yeahm but I doubt that any of them have any use for an oil painter. The few animation studios that use trad artists for backgrounds expect water/gouache skills.
One of the things I like most is experimenting with new types of pigments. I bought Cinnabar from Guizhou to make vermillion, I have pounds and pounds of paris green (copper acetoarsenite) and a few tubes of manganese blue. I also am currently experimenting weith Erbium oxide. I laso found that 19 gauge wire fits in a .9mm mechanical pencil, so I am using a few inches of 14k for goldpoint drawing.

Why not try painting digitally? The transition isn't as harsh as it was 20 years ago. I proper cintiq, maybe paintool sai for linework, photoshop for paitning and a ton of tutorials will set you right.
>>
>>84370234
I will say that i do like some digital painters, like Redtail, and Guweiz, among others.

went to college between 95-01. it was dogshit. too busy working and dealing with family drama to have much of a college life, had to take multiple break years because of the aforementioned bullshit. degree was worthless, I could have just faked it on my resume. what a stupid fucking scam. at least I had no debt when I graduated
>>
>2016
>went to tech school for digital effects and animation
>fumble cute weeb girl
luckily she moved away like a year later

Also nice to see art bros itt keep on creating fellow art bros.

My college wasn't very leftist (this was early 10s), even in liberal arts which is where I was (because my parents paid for me to get a degree and didn't care what it was). I was at the time and a professor criticized me for arguing from a Marxist viewpoint in a paper (I was cringey back then). Another professor let the class argue against refugees and mass immigration until one of the leftist girls started to cry (funny thing was the guy arguing it was a brown Hispanic guy lol). By the end I mostly just showed up to class drunk/hungover after watching anime all night. Those were some memorable as fuck times.

that's why I am saying get a cintq instead. I don't have to worry about that.

I posted it back in 2017 but basically I walked into my first college class after a weekend innawoods and fucking forgot to take a couple loaded AR mags out of my backpack. Nobody knew but I got so paranoid that I never went back. If anyone had that saved I'd greatly appreciate it if you posted it, haven't seen it in a while
>>
>>84369565
>enroll
>doing great in classes
>covid hits
>suddenly everything is online with shitty google meets lectures for same tuition as actual school
>weird glownigger behaviour modification shit
>just abuse stimulants and ignore everyone for four years
>graduate without a job, without experience in my field, and having had my academic success sabotaged.
Overall, pretty poor. I plan on leaving a negative Google review once my internet isn't sandboxed.

you both sound like retards that will work construction at your daddys yard for the next 10 years bitching about liberals as gas prices are about to hit 4 bucks a gallon again
>>
i was homeless and lived in my car for the last year and a half of my university. the people in florida are also pretty cringe, the social life outside of the university i went to has been far better. university to me was study study study for all A's, i had to make up for bad grades combined with having 30 credits of AP classesbthat didnt count towards my gpa, i got almost all A's in my major but still ended up with a 3.2 overall because of two Fs and three or four Cs in the stupid liberal arts classes.
>>
>>84369565
all i did was play video games and smoke weed with my roommate. barely passed most classes. i remember lots of girls being nice to me but i was to much of an autistic stoner to socialize with anyone
>>
>>84369600
Are you still a virgin who never had sex?
>>
I wouldn't know, I dropped out of college.
>>
>>84369565
More or less like this
>>
>>84369565
>2019 I made some "friends", but eventually left the group because of a conflict. That group soon split up due to some leaving the city anyway. I never really considered them true friends, because most of the times I was ignored, but still was the only place I could go to
>2020 and 21 got fucked by the pandemic. I also got betrayed by someone on my class who didn't put my name on a group project and had to repeat a course twice. This also made me sick of people along with the 2019 thing
>2022 and 23 were boring despite returning to normal classes. I didn't bother connecting with people anymore. Between classes I spent 2-4 hours utterly alone on a sofa browsing 4chan on my iPad. After every group project I just cut ties
>2024 was basically an extra year because the past BS and boredom drained me of my motivation and I didn't progress at all on my final project which should have been complete in 2023. Only reason I got by at the last minute and didn't waste another year was because my parents got pissed, told me to talk to my uncle, and he introduced me to Claude which helped me complete the project in 1 fucking week
Overall I'm just sad. Not even graduating made me happy. All I wanted was friends (and maybe a GF but that's pushing it), but at the same time I got sick of people altogether. My parents are either ignorant and think I'm fine or they know I ain't but just don't care, and their only priority is that I get to wageslaving for the rest of my life. No point in crying since no one would care.

>>84369565
I did community college for 4 years only to fuck up the transfer process and dropped out of university after only one semester. I still had a couple of friends from high school, but I didn't make a single friend at college and barely talked to anyone during that time.

There should be more dubstep in this image
>>
>>84369565
I didn't go to college because I didn't have the money or the grades for that
