How do I stop being a lazy faggot and actually dedicate myself to learning japanese? I know hira/kata, basic structuring and even some kanji but man is it hard to study alone.

desperately need to conserve america and safeguard your privacy so I can take a break.

Besides just wanting to play obscure japan only games, what reason motivates you to learn japanese?

In 2 years I'll have this big career opportunity in Japan and it would help a fuckton with my overall education too, but I'd need good japanese to take it. I've also thought about living there too but yeah, my career would be the main reason. Long story short if I don't learn jp to a decent degree in 1-2 years I'll lose it.

I'm trying to find out how they did it. Language apps fucking suck nowadays and it's hard to know what to focus first.

Which country are you living in?

I\ve been trying for years and finally I found it.
I am watching obligatory misa video every single fucking day. No skips. Easy. I learn a lot. Actual example sentences. I am starting to actually read a bit. By the way it is probably pretty useless to try to learn kanji and crap. I though originally that the kanji levels and word level are gonna be a match but they arent lol. Just go straight to memorising how actual words look, your aim is to gather certain minimum to be able to read. After you are able to read, you can just play vns or something for a more natural learning process.

For real? I visited Japan 3 times and every time I go I don't feel like coming back. What was your experience like?

That's good advice. I've been trying to consume media in pure japanese but I don't feel like I'm learning much. Every sentence has kanji and not knowing how to read sucks. I guess I'm not at that level yet

i was gonna reply something like >>84773300 related to work-life but i don't know how it compares to south america. it's pretty rough though and many people only get one week off the year.

Immersion.
Every waking moment of your day should be spent consuming Japanese media either without subtitles or with japanese subtitles.

wages are extremely low, work hours are extremely long, you will always be a gaijin, and japanese women are a nightmare if you want to try an actual relationship with them. everything got expensive too.
