I've seen a couple posts about tongue scrapers over the past couple days, that I assume were made by the same anon. If he sees this I'm sorry I didn't reply when those posts were up, but I'd like some advice from him or anyone else who uses them. I've been thinking about how even though I brush my teeth twice a day and always brush my tongue too, I have a white buildup that never completely goes away. I'm a smoker I've always thought it was from that, but even when I pause my smoking habit the white stuff never goes all the way away. Are tongue scrapers really that much better than using a toothbrush on your tongue? Would buying one really solve this issue or would it only be as effective as brushing and a waste of money?

yes absolutely
I'm not that anon but it removes all of the build up. cant recommend it enough. it also helps a lot with bad breath.

I don't have an issue with bad breath, but I guess it couldn't hurt to try it. It's just that when I see example pics on ads, I think they use exaggerated cases of what buildup looks like, very thick layers of yellowing crap that clearly needs to be removed. In my own case the layer is so thin and pinkish white I half believe it's just actually part of my tongue that can't be removed.
