>dad tells me the doctor says he will be dead in the next 5 years
>he isn't terminally ill or anything but he just isn't healthy from 60 years of smoking and drinking
>my dad has left everything to me in his will so I'll be getting several million when he dies plus the house
Look as bad as it sounds it feels like I'm just waiting for my dad to die so I can get his money and really begin my life

Hopefully he put's up the home to pay for his hospital /caregiving and you get nothing like a little bitch.

He's a boomer so be careful. Make sure the will is up to date and mentions you getting everything. If you have relatives that could claim something make sure it mentions them by name explaining what they get, even if zero.

Watch him to make sure he doesn't do shit like reverse mortgaging property, or fall for jeet/ai chatfish scams.

I know the exact feel. Also I am slowly watching him get more sickly and pathetic and he lives such a sad life that while it breaks my fucking heart to watch, it would almost seem a mercy if he were freed of it.
Shit, maybe it would be a mercy to me as well since I have to watch him die in slow motion.

>one dude smokes for 30 years and dies at 60
>another smokes for 60 years and dies at 90 peacefully in his sleep
Why do these things happen I wonder, if saturnian karma is real.

It's almost as if smoking isn't that bad for you and there are other factors at play. But that can't be true right? Why would the government and doctors and the media lie to us?

Drinking alcohol is bad for you and actually leads to violence unlike smoking, but they haven't banned that kek. Even if you have terrible liver from drinking alcohol if you have enough money you can get a transplant and have little consequence on your own life? Other than the people you hurt ofc.

>dog gets cancer diagnosis (osteosarcoma // bone cancer in the leg (it spreads w/ time))
>vet says without chemo + amputation she has maybe 2-3 months
>amputation is like 4k (treatment, not a cure), even chemo is 500
>elect to give her pain meds until it's too much for her
>4 months later
>her leg is obviously bad, but she has full energy: happy to eat, do stuff in yard, says "fuck the leg pain there's a squirrel BRB"
>still going strong

idk what money would really enable you to do differently, but you can live your life now too.
