Nobody is having sex, the economy has been stagnant for decades, and everybody works themselves into an early grave.
There's a lot I like and admire about Japan, but it's far from paradise.

I found that Japan has an extremely high information density.
There are many museums you can check out, a lot of books you can buy, media you can consume.
This is not exclusive to Japan, you can find a lot of museums in other countries, especially east asia.

Yeah, but the difference is Japan is more relevant.
In 1983, Atari caused a video game crash which caused video game consoles to be exclusively Japanese until Microsoft entered the game market in 2001 with the Xbox. Anime and Manga have been internationally popular for a long time.
Manga officially began outselling the traditional American comic book industry in the North American retail market in 2021.Driven by the explosion of anime on streaming platforms, manga sales surged. By 2021, manga accounted for roughly 76% of overall comic and graphic novel sales in the U.S., drastically outpacing traditional American single-issue comic books. In total retail value of graphic novels, manga outstripped Western works for the first time and now consistently makes up nearly half of all graphic novels sold
So if you watched anime on TV, read manga, played video games on a console that wasn't Microsoft. You have some connection with Japan.
And that's ignoring that we are posting on a Japanese style site, who's owner moved to Japan and sold the site to a Japanese guy

If you can walk around in a city/population center and it would be major news if you got robbed or stabbed then it's a good place
If you can find a woman that isn't obese/tattoed/pierced/dyed/clinically insane/on drugs/about to die then it's a paradise regardless of any other hardship down the road

Japan has less crime but they still have issues. You would have to be willing to assimilate into a culture that has a strict hierarchy. And as a foreigner you're never going to fit in, the Japanese are definitely more xenophobic than most other people. It seems as if there is a general malaise amongst young people not just in Asia but across the world, though.

North Korea doesn't have many muggings either. That doesn't mean there is no problems in North Korea, it just means they have a different set of problems

thats how it is in most of asia. public spaces are also much cleaner. Western countries used to be just as good. Japan is actually just normal but the state of western countries are so shit right now it seems like a paradise.

There are exceptions to rules and I still would consider the rule to be a paradise in comparison to what I deal with

I'm not talking about Asia from an outsider perspective, I'm talking about growing up Asian in Asia as an Asian. Obviously being a foreigner for the rest of my life in a place only prepared to receive me as a tourist would fucking blow. This isn't 2013 and I'm not a wapanese or retarded. You don't need to explain to me that Japan isn't One Piece and Naruto
this guy >>84773977 is right. It literally was just normal, civilized life in every western country and now Asia has caught up to what we used to have. Now they come as tourists to the west and keel over from shock at how terrible it is.

Even better look up average working hours in your country vs Japan. If you're American you work more hours than Japanese people do.
Leftist really fucking seeth at japan and try to paint it as this ultra capitalist hell hole while pretending they don't enjoy pokemon or anime.
