Anyone else feel like an outcast where you're from?
For instance, I live in the US southeast where the average person's idea of a good time is drinking beer and standing around a fire for 5 hours straight at night while listening to bro-country music so loud you can't hear anyone else speak and mosquitos suck you dry. When they're not doing that they're smoking meth and riding ATVs everywhere. I'm a computer nerd myself and I honestly don't know anyone IRL who even knows how to use a computer.

Yeah, I'm with this guy >84773571. I read OP's post and immediately thought "Damn, why can't I go to to a redneck beer-beque? That sounds like a blast, and I don't even like country music!"
The funniest part is I actually do live in a tiny rural town where you'd think there WOULD be some rockin' saloon like what you'd see on a country-western music video. But any time I've gone to the bar in this town the place is totally empty except for a couple of farmers sitting around bitching about crop conditions, and some sad losers sitting at the VLT losing their pension cheque one dollar at a time. This is on a Saturday night, mind you. I guess it's because I'm cursed to live in Canada?
I suspect that young people in this town drive to the city to party, and anyone older than their mid twenties just sits at home watching Netflix. In that sense I can agree with OP, I DO feel like an outcast where I'm from.
