quick positive feedback
playing ball, doing physical activity or playing games allows you to immediately gauge how good you are doing and adapting your strategy, and it's often accessible enough to allow some success at the lowest of levels. behavioural psychology is the only evidence based part of this field, and shows that positive reinforcment makes you more eager to adopt a behaviour, and negative reinforcement does the opposite (it seems obvious but think of the implications)
studying makes it so you spend a lot of time doing something without any outcome, plus the education system levels everyone about the same, so that someone who is struggling will inevitably take a downwards spiral of failure.
You notice that things like art can give you some progress without outside influence because you can be your own judge of success, whereas knowledge of the world requires sometimes very expensive tools for experimenting and proof testing.
People that suck at math may find coding equations for a plot or something to be fun because they reap the rewards of their actions.
gooning for 10 hours straight is also fun because you get a big reward at the end.
I know this because I notice in myself that the more my job applications get rejected, the less I send

The left happens because the right is present in your life. Your brain is built to pick the most rewarding (pleasure-giving, threat-avoiding) opportunity from your environment. If studying was the only distraction you had in an otherwise dull or painful life, you would enjoy it.

Seems rather obvious that the problem is not ability to focus and process information, but the problem is intrinsic motivation, which is required for the brain to mobilize those mental resources to a certain degree. Discipline can only get you so far.

When I was in college my room mate made a dream machine and shot up Adderall and stared into it. Well.. of course I did it as well!

Connect your problem to fundemental Cosmology as much as an aspect every personal interaction you have...because it is, and your life is do or die, or just die. It *must* happen, or it never will. A Force majeure.

Oh, and I play either rougelikes or phone 2-D shooter app and do most of my work while playing, simple games to allow for as much as possible autopilot to work on problems in the background or write/read shit.
Do both. You cant listen to an audiobook and play a game? Im "reading" a 25 hour encyplopedia on the periodic table on audiobook. Turn PFDs into audiobooks. The diagrams are another thing, but that just give you a pop quiz to see how well youre gunna make or ngmi. Do in another thread "spent years mowing lawns".
...or this a case of "Im at uni and "have" to learn things I "paid" money for." kind of situation? So when you graduate you dump all the "unfun" stuff (learning to have a well rounded understanding of the field). I will never understand the values judgement hueman-mortals make for university...they often take fields then hate it/lose all interest in it. Many cases, they graduate with almost zero applicable understanding of the field.
Globally too, I knew more in 15 minutes about a guy's field in Korea (Property Managment) than he knew in his third year of school...wasted youth "meandering" "life milestones".
Their Physiology "locks" into an adult stage and if certain genes arent expressed before then it I believe is unlikely after. Being flexible enough to ensure past eductation and training having relevence to something else Im doing at a later/past time.

The information they provide has no intrinsic value and becomes garbled and lost over time because it requires a connection to be interesting and enjoyable. It could take decades; fortunately, Brian Cox played in a band for ten years while science caught up.

For me, I can easily study something unrelated, but studying the priority thing sucks, especially when I start to struggle with such an important goal.
As an example, yesterday I spent 2 hours seeing how desert preservation of cars/airplanes works, while I barely studied grammar.

If you're an amerimutt then nobody gives a shit anymore and will pass you regardless. if you're not a mutt then you might have to sacrifice a portion of based car/plane studies in exchange for grammar studies.

what works for me is
>a few minutes of studying
>a few minutes of entertainment
>repeat
the pomodoro method, except its usually a few minutes instead of 25 mins. i really wish there were more games that were infotainment, so i could get a little bit of studying out of my entertainment sessions.

How can you even goon for 10 hours straight? And this "big reward" is white sticky stuff leaving your penis while you watch a video of a man fucking a woman, AKA you are effectively getting cucked.

Buck break yourself mentally into studying hard as a baseline, take a day off once a week. You'll feel kind of guilty, but you'll be super productive when its go time again.
YMMV though, I've generally lost interest in vidya and tend to enjoy what I do.

Get modafinil instead. You can order it from India without a prescription.

Problem is, in my country the education system is busted. And in college, not a lot of time is spent on a particular subject because each semester lasts only 4 months.
For example, I absolutely hated my controls course. Not because it was bad, I found it very interesting. But, they cram so much stuff and go through the material so quick, that I ended up hating it and never truly learning anything.

I unironically prefer the indonesian ripoff Mobile Legends. Games are about 1/2 as long and everything else is pretty much the same
>inb4 LoL is itself a ripoff of Dota
It's another game in the same genre. I'm talking about a straight-up 3rd world RIPOFF lol

If you don't fix your motivation/organization/discipline,what will happen is now you will play 50 hours of league and masturbate 10 times in a row until your dick hurts.

It is in turkroachistan, which is why I'm a Ritalin pleb, but I'm pretty sure Adderall is prescribed in Europe.
>>16947789
Is it at least as good as Ritalin? Those seem like a cope to me.

>>You just click and press buttons with cooldowns
>>RuneScape tier combat mechanics, and it's all there is to the game
the game is being better at clicking than your opponent, and coordinating with your team better than the other team

No, because your brain needs rest to process the information. That’s why you get sleepy while studying. I’ve woken up in the middle of the night before back when I was at university and found that I would often be thinking of some random shit from the day before we did in calculus. I literally caught my brain in the act of trying to process the information I had seen that day.

League of legends is unironically the greatest game ever made
If you don't think so you probably have never played real league which is ranked Masters+

I have the same problem with both. I think internet surfing decayed my focus, I can't concentrate enough for long singleplayer gaming sessions.
The only exceptions were Deltarune and Silksong, I had no trouble with playing them for ten+ hours every day. So maybe modern games just suck, instead of it being a "me" problem...

The key is increasing dopamine while studying.
For me, it is studyig with my favorite studying tools. I wish I bought fountain pens and chalkboard when I was a students instead books of the same shit. They improved my focus and interested so much, I can't sleep without studying for more than 4 hours every night, even after 15 hours of work
>>
Honestly I just start with trying an hard-reset of my dopamine receptors using DHA-Omega-3 and Citicoline (from 250mg to 500mg) and honestly I quite impresive how responsive I become to adapt to new things or learn something new relative faster, also my "mental-stamina" has increase when the night comes, I dont feel so mentally-exhausted as before, also start to do some cardio
