just found out oil isn't really made out of dinosaurs. Why did they lie to us?

everything is simultaneously true and untrue at the same time, in superposition. if you collapse into one particle, inevitably the other particle may look- wrong/evil
if you choose any fixed state that is against entropy (entropy wants to return things to the neutral superposition).
So you will always have to to some extent defend a state against its opposite, so the destructive interference doesn't return you to neutrality.
there exists an alternate world where oil is genuinely made of ammonites and diplodoci and trees. it is no less real. just by researching you force your belief (bayesian) to manifest a particular observation. like "fine if you force me to choose here it is".
what am I saying?
that noone lied. it's just that the universe is inherently messy. and if you hold on to any one truth or value, which is fine to do, you will come into conflict with the opposite.
also does it matter?
say all science is false and all history too. so what?
what I'm saying is you are taking it very seriously

Oil is kinda made of dinosaurs.
Wait until you realize literally no one knows why planes fly and bournoullis principle is something you can only understand in college after learning differential equations. Like why are they gas lighting us in second grade about superfluid flow?
