>>

I'm thinking they're probably in space.
>>
>>16979627
They stay in the dark because the majority of people on Earth aren't worth their time or effort. It crosses paths to be something real, and has a cause and effect on the matter.
>>
You need DMT to meet them
>>
>>16979629
they just want number to go up
>>
It’s obvious that they want nothing to do with us. Or they’re keeping us ignorant. Or we’re an experiment. Something like that. Yeah.
>>

The Aliens are the people who look at these obvious fake documents from a fake government shitting itself over weather balloons and think "Golly, this sure isn't a distraction from the war that's ruining our life right now".

>Everyone ignores it because the Pentagon is headed by the most corrupt, dumbest motherfucker ever.
North Korea tried to tell us about LE ALIUMS too, guess why no one listened?
>>

LMAO, imagine not knowing what is self evident.
>>
>Muh Fermi paradox.
The whole thing is based on a retarded assumption that it's easy for life to emerge. It's entirely possible that the emergence of life requires gorillions of parameters to align precisely, and that statistically there should be 0 habitable places in the universe, so even a single one existing is already an impossible streak of luck.
>>
>>16979627
Can't think of many reasons why a species capable of faster than light travel would be interested in us. It would be like an engineer at SpaceX being interested in a random termite mound in the middle of Tanami Desert.

Same with the Drake Equation. It's "correct" by definition, but you can't estimate most of those quantities with any kind of accuracy, or meta-accuracy etc. It's meaningless.

This, moreover, it took 4.4 billion years for us to appear, meaning clearly there's no particular reason for life to necessarily end up like us through evolution.

In hell. They're demons.

Honestly, I believe that at least one or two out of tens and thousands of UFO accounts are real. I doubt aliens think we are worth landing and talking to though

>Where are the aliens?
>Well /sci/? Where are they?

Somebody explain the persistent midwit assumption that there's some kind of universal evolutionary pressure selecting for intelligent species.
We're not getting contacted by aliens because there's no smart aliens; it's just gonna be nothing but plants, microbes, seafood, and dinosaur-equivalents.
>>
>>16979627
If you haven't opened your third eye or entered into a deep level of meditation then they won't visit you.
>>
Look in the mirror.
>>
>>16979627
Could be that there is an extraterrestrial base in the ocean. Like having a base on earth because it is so habitable and remote. Could explain all the USS Nimitz videos and this one too.
>why would aliens have a remote base on earth?
I dont know. Research, exploration, pitstop.

>>
I've never seen one of her videos. She seems like midwit bait. Same category as professor Jiang or Eric Weinstein
>>
>>16979693
The "paradox" part of it is even more retarded than that. There could be advanced civilizations everywhere beyond like a few dozen light years from us and we wouldn't know about it. For us to detect a civilization they'd need to try to specifically contact us (send a powerful signal this way), leak energy like crazy (accidentally send signals powerful enough to detect), or do some kind of megalomaniacal building project like blotting out entire suns with dyson swarms (we'd notice the change in the star), which is itself most likely a retarded idea for gathering energy.

there are be no aliens nearby, cosmic-scales speaking. consider this:
the elemennts of periodic table are the same throughout the whole universe. complex life must be carbon based.
now, you need:
>stable star in a stable environmemt with planet in habitable zone (spectral class, no gamma ray bursts nearby etc.). cg, you already eliminated most of the stars available
but there's way more:
>large moon to stabilize weather
>interconnection of genetic code and metabolism (huge deal)
>oxygenic photosynthesis
>something to end euxinic ocean to prevent boring billion indefinitely
>carboniferius perior to kickstart industrial revolution later
>hope that mass extinctions like P-T or K-Pg events won't wipe out all advanced life forms
>hope that evolution won't just stop with something like dinosaurs indefinitely
>glaciation periods to stress selection for intelligent species
>hope they won't wipe themselves with nukes, or technologically stagnate
aaaand all this has to happen before the window of opportunity closes. without human intervention, earth has ~500-800 millions left because of sun's increasing luminosity. if you get stuck for too long, it is still unironically over.

The "sides" are fake. The actual control structure exists on a higher level. You're like a low IQ gladiator fighting another low IQ gladiator in a colosseum without understanding the that people cheering and laughing in the pulvinus put you in this situation.
>>
>>16980484
Also, evolution may provide the mechanisms for technological civilization to emerge, but it's not suited to allow a species to survive the consequence of drastically changing its environment from one that it's adapted to to one that it's not adapted to. For instance, look at birth rates.

theoretically you could have silicon based lifeforms. Also there are plenty of examples of life that do not use oxygen or photosynthesis
>>
>>16981022
1) silicon based life sounds good on a paper, but it is a quite a meme. low range of oxidation states, polysiloxanes have too stable bonds compared to carbon chains, and when you oxidize it to SiO2, oh boy. i am not saying it totally cannot exist, but doubt it.
2) anoxygenic photosynthesis exists, but it is less effective because the electron donor is less available than ubiquitous water. and complex life NEEDS the oxygen, because oxidation of organic molecules is the only known thing providing enough (gibbs) free energy for advanced brain. good luck with photosynthesis, litotrophy, fermentation or anaerobic respiration (maybe denitrification runs the gibbs numbers, BUT you need oxygen first anyway to obtain nitrates from ammonium)

When I became paradoxically stable on dark matter, I could clearly see an alien ship in the sky lit up in the vicinity. But they only had limited knowledge (like most people here), and I hid myself from drawing attention.

Fermi paradox talks are purely for engagement bait. With our current instruments it's extremely hard to detect anything that could be interpreted as a techno signature, and even if we did there would be a lot of uncertainty on the matter. So it shouldn't be surprising we still found nothing.
We also have not been out there for long enough to be detected by anyone.

Why do I have this suspicion that alien life is a lot more profound than we think
>>
I think they are real. But if they are super advanced then they are probably watching us thinking what the fuck are these monkeys doing with all these bombs that could destroy their planet. Or they are super dumb like dinosaurs and just eat and fuck with no ambitions to get off their planet. Whether they have visited earth, I don't know, maybe sent some probes here like we send out. Depends on how advanced they really are.

I really, really, really think humans are more like a species of interest than anything else. Fun to look at and play with and use as stock. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve seeded more than one world with humanoids.
