I hate AI as much as the next guy, but why are people pretending like doctors are not completely obsolete now? Why is so much money still being given to these assholes, when any retard with an llm can do an objectively better job in the interest of your health.
Dismantling the medical-industrial complex and leaving every doctor and med school student jobless is probably the single beneficial thing that AI could do for society.

I mean we still need the nurses and surgeons but yeah the rest should be (rightfully) doomed.

I pray my friend in radiology gets fucked, smug asshole always complaining about his life even though he's about to get paid multiple six figures to look at charts.

Agree, although plastic surgeons should be put in camps.

12 figures? 18 figures? damn!
>>
>You're going to med school? What a fucking loser, you're going to work 80 hours and make less than a teacher, good thing I'm studying computer science so I can get paid six figures while jacking off to cartoon porn
>What the fuck, why are you making good money while I can't find a job? This is fucking unfair, you should be replaced by AI you goddamn thieving murderer
stop being so petty

> doctors are just doing diagnosis based on reported symptoms

Perhaps LLMs are better than doctors at that, but it is only a part of doctor's job. Let's see how a LLM would do a surgery.

because we still need people to blame for bad prescriptions

Is it time for fully automated luxury gay space communism yet?

The pharmaceutical companies who lie about efficacy and/or side effects as a matter of marketing propaganda which ends up poisoning the AI datasets.

Why? They also do life saving procedures

Not just lives, they also saved part of Jeremy Renner's penis.

This. It's literally just CScels coping because we're living well while they can't make six figures anymore being a computer jockey now that Indians and AI are going to replace them. Womp womp. Should've gone to med school loser.

Hello, doctor here. Patients do not want an AI doctor. Thanks for your interest!
>>
>>16994338
but the doctors consider the current patient's health and current meds

the pharma just creates the drug
>>

You barely even interact with patients; they couldn't care less. Nurses are the people they actually interact with.

Health records + AI that can look at it from date by date is the next step

Shut your bitch ass up! I just want to be healthy when im sick or injured. That's it! The amount of people that would be alive if their illnesses were diagnosed and treated in the early stages would be alarming.

The entire education path for doctors is broken and stupid to be honest. Its hilarious to watch doctors impotency rage with allied health fields getting more power.
Doctors get paid so much because of schooling that really is ultimately unnecessary. Most are so apathetic that they really shouldn't even be allowed to talk to patients.
It should be more of a trade. Somewhere in between 2 year nursing school and current medical school.

Yup! Doctors dont need two years of college in the humanities to do their jobs. I dont care if the guy checking me for a hernia is familiar with Shakespeare, just heal me! Its all a clever scheme by the government and corporations against the american people. They pay actors in middle school to pretend they have ailments for med students to diagnose them. What a waste of money and time! There is millions of low income people that would gladly get seen by med students. Same way teachers got fearful of how easily they were replaced by computer programs during the pandemic. Turns out, they are very expendable.

I've had doctors who have had to google stuff. But they are still needed. A doctor who has seen something a thousand times will be better than AI for the time being. AI should assist us rather than replace us.

Four years of totally superfluous coursework that is basically just hazing and then graduate school coursework to prepare them for research most of them will never do because they just want to set up shop and prescribe painkillers. contributing to absurd medical costs that made universal healthcare unfeasible without tax hiked and lower quality of life for everyone

Keep in mind the cost of medicine is only high because for profit insurance companies dictate the cost. It is artificially high.
