When i went to college the first time for cs i failed discrete math and i felt extremely stupid, the following year i switched to industial engineering becuase of that lol, am i smart enough to learn advanced math on my own? i'm really curious about it, when i passed discrete math the second time i really enjoyed proofs

1) discreet math is harder than continuous math
2) you discovered something about learning; it takes time/sleep between first being exposed to something and being able to usefully apply it
the latter is something i learned from experience doing physics+mathematics and playing an instrument. ideas take a few months to ferment.
