the retarded american is simply american, he was highly touted even as an actual child, bounced around top academies before ending up at Reading where he got senior gametime. Reading knew what they had, had a sell-on clause for the eventual transfer. Crystal Palace obviously knew what they had too but their stature wasn't big enough for any sort of retention.
fuck cloudflare btw

i believe the point he was making was both of them were in the premier league at relegation clubs and then they move and suddenly they're the best players in the world apparently. although olise was clearly way too good for palace and was always gonna be able to play for a top team. raphinha not so much, he was decent and comfortably leeds' best player but ballon dor shouts? lol

The owners bought random players and put random managers in charge at whim, then complain when players don't gel. Pep chose his team and built it up over the years. He's got an actual system and choses his players accordingly. Most EPL teams don't. A club like Manchester United spends 250 million a season on random names who have appeared last season, then wonders why it's not working out.
Football is a team sport and if you expect to put together 11 randos and they'll dominate everything because they are individually such great players, without giving a shit about their individual background, strenghts and best positions, you get English football where the league is currently lead by a team that developed the tactic of just scoring through corners because that's enough to beat most of the rest. When I see a team like Newcastle play I get a headache.

it's just easier to look good in the bundesliga and la liga. your post is gibberish, PL teams have won 6 european trophies in the last 7 seasons (3 CL, 1 EL and 2 ECL) and chelsea also won the club world cup. how does that compare to the bundesliga?
