To some, they are the best argument to abandon 50+1 and similar structures. Just sell out, bro. Look at how good Straßburg play
But sorry, I find it too humiliating. Your club being bought so that they can develop talents for the owner's main toy. What about your own identity? I look at how Straßburg play and I find myself impressed, but it's just not worth it all in all. Not if you believe in your club to any extent whatsoever at least

>same retards begging for ukrainewebmbro in every thread "pls post goals"
Ungrateful cocksuckers, fuck you. If I was Ukriewebmbro I'd tell you all to suck a bag of dicks and get your own webms
Shakhtar is gonna win this shit and there's absolutely nothing you fuck niggas can do about it, fuck you very much

>Straßburg
Soulless sellouts, impossible to root for them. If they weren't Chelsea's bitches, then they'd be cool. But then they wouldn't be that good to begin with
>Rayo
Too tiny to win an international trophy, even the Weenie Hut Jr League. Also, they seem to be fags in general
>Crystal Palace
Generic Premier League noveau-rich club. Would be barely tolerable, but there is no reason to support them either
>Shaktar
The only one I cannot find a real argument against, although I'm not exactly thrilled either
Shaktar it is, I guess. But it's quite grim

You definitely have a point. But there are levels to this. Straßburg has absolutely no say in this and they are willingly bowing to a foreign master. Other clubs may at least struggle against this system and have small wins every now and then

Yes, they are owned by Rinat Ahkmetov and are famous for fielding many Brazilians in particular
Being a billionaire's toy is unfortunately completely normal in modern football, I cannot really give minus points for that. All the others have owners as well, Straßburg even have been degraded to a farm club. But it's the reason I said I'm not thrilled either

My club is not owned at least, so I care about them. Why would I not? And they happen to need opponents. As long as they don’t play internationally, they are unlikely to play against corpo scum - except Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Leipzig, and Hoffenheim, of course. But everyone hates them fervently anyway

You are a farm club. A professional post-formation structure. Your roster is built on behalf of the big guy and he does what he wants with u. Look Rosenior going straight to Chelsea after Maresca. Your identity and history (for whats its worth) are de facto (*). But they are a lot of good Germans answers in the thread already.

I'd be pleased for Gary O'Neil if he won a trophy, but the thought of seeing Frenchmen happy is enough to make me queasy. I don't want Shakhtar to win as the Ukraine™ wankfest would be unbearable. It'd be interesting if Rayo Vallecano won the trophy as they've never won a major trophy in their history, and it's kino when a club wins a European honour before a domestic one (as Villarreal did a few years back). Obviously, though, I'd prefer for Palace to win it as they're an English club. It'd also be just for them to qualify for the Europa League after being robbed of a place in this year's competition.

I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than supporting a clearlake club that isn’t chelsea. Honestly, think about it rationally.
You are watching, cheering, supporting, and spending time for a club for your whole life so the best players can go and get stolen by chelsea. All the hard work you put into your beautiful little club - shilling for ligue 1, paying membership, making sure to go to all the games, making up chants, buying merchandise. All of it has one simple result: the club’s best players are more employable for Chelsea who will eventually run away with the best players after year after year without any competition.
Supported the perfect local club? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, a Nigerian who has nothing to do with the rest of football who vaguely follows Chelsea. He gets to watch your players win the club world cup every year. He gets the benefits of your club’s players that came from the way your club supported them on and off the pitch.
As a clearlake umbrella fan who doesn’t support Chelsea, you are LITERALLY dedicating your whole life simply to support a club so another club can buy its best players.
It is the ULTIMATE AND FINAL cuck.
Think about it logically

i think hope is the one thing that keeps fans of shit teams going. its the belief that one day they can become a giant and compete consistantly for titles etc. you can climb the ladder, eventually keep your talents and form a good team then win things. this system just kills that hope dead, whenever a player is of chelsea quality they just sign him and hes gone after just one season. even if everything goes right youre never going to be as good as chelsea. you have a glass ceiling forever. also i think 2 clubs owned by the same group cant compete in the CL at the same time so that kinda fucks them

i just looked into my crystal (palace) ball, it told me next season the EL final is crystal palace vs sporting club portugal, held in peru for some reason

Har har har
My club didn't get bought, they can sell to others as well. And if >we ever reach something, it will be on >our own merit, not that of a sugardaddy who only keeps us around because we suck his dick really nice
My club also mogs the shit out of Straßburg in terms of historical achievement anyway, so we can at least LARP about the past. In theory, we have potential to be at least decent. Things have been looking up all in all recently, and I don't have to thank a foreign owner for that
