Indycar doesn't have a third manufacturer because it's expensive for the low visibility, and the car is old so the competition level is high. If the car changed every few years it would be more tempting to join because everyone starts from square one, but that would increase costs more. At this point I might prefer losing honda, ripping out that hybrid anchor and everyone gets a stock 2.4 liter ilmor. The field size would go down which would only matter to me at the 500 and all the road races would improve
