American racing was pretty bad this weekend. The second race of the IHRA late models Saturday night was the best North American race. I guess the Brazilian GT race was alright, but I mostly just had it on. I couldn't get the Argentinian streams to work, but I'll assume at least some of it was interesting.
WEC was pretty clearly the best, and I'm perfectly alright with that. Supercars was good and it was neat that they were on at a time I could watch.
Looking to next weekend, we have Talladega, so that's promising. ARCA, but no Trucks, and absolutely nothing scheduled for Friday. Super Formula and Bikes at Jerez should be pretty good and I'll probably watch some Motocross.

I feel that we have seen much better racing there and not even that long ago.
I was really surprised how clean the IndyCar race was and how few cars were able to make any real challenges for position. The pass for the lead in the pits was a real twist of the knife. At least it didn't happen on the first stop.
I just know that these series are capable of much better racing. IndyCar definitely needs more ovals and less street course.

NASCAR needs more time for testing each weekend.
I heard an interview with Jack Hawksworth talking about how limited it is compared to other series. He said that if you aren't at least close by the time you first hit the track that its pretty hard to get it dialed in, where as with IMSA for example you have quite a bit of time. Plus, I think he said they quarantine the cars after the qualifying run so they can't work on the cars or make adjustments until the very last minute before the race.
It's been a while, so maybe I'm remembering some of that wrong, but I think giving the teams more track time would help the racing a bit.
Also, maybe stop allowing blatant cheating in Cup.

I hope you are correct. I was never a big fan, but they are a worthy competitor.
Victory over an inferior opponent is virtually meaningless and I don't think it can be argued that Acura wasn't a worthy opponent for the last 20 years.
If you are an Acura fan, you should definitely check this out. Hell, even if you aren't, this is peak multi class spots car racing.

Your opinion has been noted, but personally, a motor needs at least 8 cylinders to sound good. As a red-blooded, corn-fed American, I have an obvious bias for American V8s, but I'm willing to concede that some of those European 10- and 12-cylinder motors have that deep, guttural sounds I like so much. Performance-wise, there are plenty of impressive 6-cylinder cars, and even some 4 bangers can keep up these days with all the supercharging and ECU magic these days. And I need only mention electrics, whose short-distance speed is well-documented at this point. But whine of a 6 or the frankly pathetic whir of an electric will never do it for me. It will never feel like a real car unless it growls and roars like the apex predator it should be.
