you don't really need to see it as much as you need to be able to respond easily to the player motion. the problem is basically most of camara idiots never stop moving. they think it's their job to track the puck and keep moving rather than frame the action and move as little as possible.

you are not supposed to look at the puck. You can see by the way a player moves and their stick handling that they have control of the puck. I don't even know how to describe it, after watching hockey for 25 years its second nature to me.
Maybe start by watching lower level hockey where the play is slower and you can sit close to the ice without going broke.

Even as a kid in the 90s, watching hockey on those blurry ass small screen box televisions, following the puck has never been an issue. If you can't follow a black puck on white ice on a large HD screen, there's no hope for you.
