The BBC is ending the Football Focus TV show after 52 years. Broadcast at Saturday lunchtime it was a preview of the weekend's football ahead.
Knowing the current BBC Sport, the money gained will be thrown at making Women's Super League TikToks

This is genuinely sad. I haven't got Sky and I don't care enough about football to go looking online for YouTube channels that post 20 videos a day of zoomers shrieking incoherently about their latest purchase from today's video sponsor. Football Focus was what I watched. It's true that it wasn't great, but then football isn't that interesting now.
>ello an we'com' 2 footbaw focus vis week wiv me, Alex Scott
>Fawwa Williams what does u tink about wot spawt is happenin' in da Champninnons League?
>Argle bargle gobble burble gurble
>Yeah fanx Fawwa
>Comin' up nex, we is meetin' a man whose playin' career was well excitin' - it's Man City's fawf-highest xG attackin' midfielder of the Rodri era, you might know him, his name is [some generic Spanish first name; he looks like every other player but I swear I've never heard of him]

No coincidence this died when the host was changed for no actual reason back in 2021. Same as Question of Sport when Sue Barker got replaced by fucking Paddy McGuinness, or if you want to go back even further, when Nick Hancock was replaced by Lee Mack on They Think It's All Over. Change a winning formula and the show will die. The BBC never learns this.

It's sad that they tried to make Alex Scott likeable. Eni Aluko was unironically a more intelligent version of her 5 years ago, they should've encouraged her to stay out of politics if they wanted a DEI hire.
