The Chiefs made the Super Bowl in back to back seasons that were supposed to be down years. That's a testament to how great the combination of Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and Steve Spagnuolo is. It's also an indictment on the rest of the AFC. Imagine being the Bills and the Ravens and still not being able to go in for the kill on Kansas City while it was at its lowest point, that has to be fucking demoralizing. At this point, the only non fraud QBs at least in the AFC are Mahomes and Joe Burrow and Burrow is about to miss the playoffs for the 3rd straight season. The Chiefs are seriously unmatched in this fucking conference and now are starting to get their offensive mojo back so it's really about to be over for the conference now. The neutral fan in me wants to see someone else rise up to give the Chiefs a challenge since Baltimore and Buffalo have consistently dropped the ball and the Bengals are wasting Joe Burrow's prime, plus he's made of glass. The team in the AFC I see now is surprisingly the Colts. That offense of Indy looks legit and Daniel Jones is looking like another great reclamation project so I'll be rooting for them and if they somehow do indeed do it and beat the Chiefs, I will actually applaud them for doing what Buffalo and Baltimore couldn't ever do. Lets get back to Patrick Mahomes though. This man is an all time great Quarterback already. He already has 17 fucking playoff wins, that's 2nd most all time and he's only in his 8th season of being the starting QB for the Chiefs, that's the embodiment of greatness and he's already a 1st ballot Hall of Famer. Do you guys realize how fucking amazing that is? Out of all the QBs to play in the Super Bowl era, he's already rapidly approaching the status of 2nd greatest of all time. Now when I say stuff like this, usually people bombard me with posts about Brady, but I think Tom Brady is the GOAT. I don't think Tom Brady ever be surpassed. But can't we appreciate what Mahomes is doing?

I don't think they were necessarily bad picks but I wasn't a big Reese guy. I thought Downs+Mauigoa would've been a great haul and much better in terms of immediate impact. Reese feels like a "down the line this could pay off" pick. They've got a lot of bodies in that front 7

>>
>>154350844
>Benardrick McKinney and a fucking swing tackle
Styles is better at actual linebacking and Bain is a better edge rusher. Taking a 350lb man with a bad back is a fireable offense. Harbaugh deserves the electric chair, Reese is nowhere near as good as they say he is.

germie bernard is the last ''good'' receiver left, probably the highest floor of anyone in the draft. need a guy that can block crazy, do special teams, throw the ball and be a good #2? hes it. basically mohammed sanu 2.0

Is sneed the same guy who drafted goof? The qb so bad they had to trade multiple 1sts to replace him? And you let this guy draft another qb with impunity? Lmao. Its hilarious the rams are held up as a well run franchise

Even if you allow the rams some leway to draft a developmental QB for when Stafford is done, why not pick someone with an actual high ceiling? For example they could get Allar on day 3. Sure, he's probably not going to pan out but it's worth taking a chance, relatively. Simpson is never going to be good enough, why bother?

It's just an example of someone they could have taken where at least the process makes sense. I don't think Allar is good or will be good. The benefit of drafting a guy to sit behind a great vet for a few years is you can pick a project. Simpson has no traits to work with, he's just a shitter.

>>
>>154350858
Reese is a very bad pick. They basically took him as a box LB. Box LBs don't last long in today's game. Look at Tremaine Edmunds, he got cut for a reason. I don't know how you can have Reese the ILB over Styles the ILB. Unless you're fucking retarded like Harbaugh. This team has two ILBs that can't cover worth a damn, signed to a combined $74 million. I never imagined when Harbaugh first came here that he would make things even worse
>>
Why the fuck am I supposed to care that Vrabel cheated on his wife? I don't know him in real life. Why would I care? Literally the only thing he can do that would have any impact on my life is whether he is a good coach or not
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>154350933
Yeah, it's so weird to me. Styles or Downs would have been a much better fit. I think they were just so surprised that Reese was a available they didn't really have a thought process, they just went for it.

Cope, if you can't tell that McVay was seething that entire press conference I don't know what to tell you. Snead probably phoned him about Simpson thinking he'd be some day 2/3 guy, not their fucking 13th pick
>>
>>154350948
This >>154350921 does not sound like a man that thinks he just got a 1st-round value. That's the reaction a coach gives to his team's 5th round pick (and still a fairly negative one).

Dianna Russini Interviewed Patriots’ Mike Vrabel About Relationship With His Wife Before Controversy
“Your wife is a superb athlete,” Russini, 43, told Mike, 50, in a resurfaced clip from The Athletic, before the coach corrected her, “I would say, [Jen] used to be [a superb athlete].

You think they're good because the general talent level of qbs coming out of college has dropped. They're better than some of their peers but some of their peers are absolute dogshit. Despite this even the bad ones hold starting jobs for multiple season and some even get huge contract extensions simply because there's no better option unless you want to sign a 35+ year old journeyman who have their own drawbacks.

I suppose I just wasn't moved by the options on the table. I didn't like Lemon compared to other round 2 WR options. Vega Ioane would be sitting behind Avila and Dotson. Sadiq would also have to sit a year behind Ferguson, Davis Allen and Parkinson. All the Day 1 starting tackles had been taken. Jimmy G might retire and the only other QB on deck is Stetson Bennett. The jump between Ty Simpson and Carson Beck is that big.

Rice isn't bad when he isn't being a dipshit off the field, with good YAC and separation.
Worthy has good hands and a low drop percentage, and now that the opposing defense has to actually respect the Chiefs run game with K9, Worthy is going to be a lot more explosive of an option for Mahomes to look towards.
Kelce will probably be between 750-1000 yards this season, and that'll be good enough with the rest.

They got bamboozled into trading up to 6 for a guy chefs fans have been going on and on about how they don't need because they can develop any scrap into an elite CB. And then they took a DT in a draft where all the DTs suck. One of the worst first rounds in the league, especially given the resources they had.

Nabers reaction to the draft
When New York selected Reese with the No. 5 pick, Nabers' immediate reaction was to shrug.
>"I love the player, don't get me wrong, I love the player," Nabers said. "But ... where do you play? You want to be on the outside and rush, but we just drafted somebody last year (2025 No. 3 overall pick Abdul Carter) to do that same position."
The wideout went on to say he hoped the Giants drafted Downs, Ohio State's safety, with their next pick. Nabers cited New York's decision to trade defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence as one of the primary reasons the team needed to add help in the secondary.
>"When you eliminate something from there (the defensive front), you have to put something in the back end (secondary) to be secure," Nabers said.
Nabers' expression did not change immediately after Bleacher Report's livestream revealed the Giants picked Mauigoa, an offensive lineman, with the No. 10 overall pick.
>"[Malik] looks pissed," said Green Bay Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons, who was sitting next to Nabers on the stream.
>"I'd rather get (Caleb) Downs than play against Downs," Nabers said. "That's all I'm saying.
>"(Giants quarterback) Jaxson [Dart] did mention that he wanted an offensive lineman in this draft. But is [Mauigoa] going to play inside? We just paid (right tackle Jermaine) Eluemunor, we got [Andrew Thomas] on the left side. Okay, so he has to play guard, but a lot of his film at Miami is not guard."
>"We could've got the playmaker now. We need another playmaker in the deep zone,"
Nabers said before elaborating that Downs' versatility could have been a valuable asset for Big Blue's defense.
Probably shouldn't have been public about how he felt but this is fair analysis, he might unironically be a better drafter than Schoen.

For both fit+experience you'd have to say the Wions taking Blake Miller. Getting a proven RT with 40+ college starts and kicking Sewell to LT will help their O line immensely
>the worst
I gotta say I'm not a fan of the Browns taking Fano. He's proven at both spots okay but sometimes a jack of all trades is a master of none. His build seems more guard like to me which is why I thought they'd go with Monroe Freeling. They just traded for Houston's RT Tytus Howard so they expect him to switch back to LT year one coming from the Big 12?? Miss me with that projection

The only way >we would ever have taken Delane is if we traded back. Otherwise, it was always going to be Styles, Downs, Reese, whoever fell to us at 7.
LB, S, and EDGE were simply bigger needs because we have future SBMVP Trey Amos

Because they wanted Dart last year, got hopped, and have no succession plan post Stafford retirement, meaning there's a decent chance Mcvay retires with him. This was Snead doing a favor to a close friend (Ty's father) giving his friend's kid a massive pay day since he knows without Mcvay his time won't be long with LA anyway

Bills managed to increase their draft capital compared to before their DJ Moore trade
Using the Jimmy Johnson value charts.
Before Moore Trade: 952 points
After Moore Trade: 677 points
Today: 1069 points
They have increased their draft capital by 117 points, which is roughly a mid-3rd round pick. While also adding DJ Moore.
With their draft position and the drop off of top-tier talent, they seem to have done well in draft capital. Now it’s time to find some hidden gems.

I enjoyed fucking over the Steelers, but I also remember when >we cucked the Texans for Andre Dillard and he ended up a massive bust. Though cucking the Giants for Smith and the Cowboys for Goedert worked out great.
As far as Lemon, I understand the process, though I wish things had gone differently. There was a big drop off on their board after Freeling and Lemon, so once Freeling went they had to get Lemon or their pick would be a waste. I would have much preferred Freeling, they need trenches way more than weapons right now. But I think he'll be a good player. I love the toughness and intelligence. I think he'll look pretty slow in the NFL though, unfortunately.

yeah I'm not too sure about this one
I'm not going to fault Howie's modern philosophy of BPA if it's within striking distance because of the results it's gotten but I just think there were a number of other BPAs that actually address positions of need
I wouldn't have minded if they picked up the white safety to replace the loss of their white safety
while it's not the best draft for OT and TE depth their O-Line is getting bad between the center and LG both looking like they're going to have short careers and probably the last season for Goedert and Johnson
they need potential successors sitting behind them and learning like yesterday

Yeah, I would have liked Thieneman. But other than that I don't really see anyone else I would have wanted. Maybe Iheanachor but he's not a sure thing. But going WR in the first round means they are locked in to having to draft O-line day 2 and trade for a vet edge. I hate losing flexibility.

He was a beast I absolutely agree that he's a great player. It still doesn't matter. I think Styles will be great too. It's just not a position worth a top pick, especially when you have holes at other more important positions.

Same, other than Bain. I wanted O-line.
