>Headline: PEP GUARDIOLA WOULD BE TEMPTED BY THE PROSPECT OF BECOMING ITALY'S NATIONAL TEAM COACH .
>According to the La Gazzetta the coach has always had a very strong connection with the country, and if the Federation contacts him, he will listen to the proposal.
>COACHING A NATIONAL TEAM HAS BEEN IN HIS THOUGHTS FOR A LONG TIME, and it could allow him to slow down the pace even if he hasn't yet decided on a possible departure from Manchester City at the end of the season.
Can he save Italy?

Well, the English league is 138 years old, so I suspect it's just Premier Years, which will be 35 including this one. And double figures Nearly, But No Cigar for the arse. I can only find them coming second 3 times in the 100+ years otherwise, 1973, '32 and '26. Haven't double checked that tho. tldr, it's a recent phenomenon, their Almost FC status.

our football association (FIGC) is about as corrupt as it comes, and after the inside job that was Calciopoli you can rest assured they offered him the job multiple times in vain hope to buck the trend somehow.
but Carlo is a man of principle and politely told them to fuck off behind the scenes.
