>What they are able to do with the ball, with individual actions, I haven't seen it. It's not the plan to play in certain areas when you don't have the ball but they force you to do that, so even more credit to the players.
>on if he’ll look to emulate PSG’s style of player in the future:
>Yes, and the individual action that they have for sure. Then you have to get into the competition with all the squad available in every moment, each player. We have had many more players than last season but not all of them in that condition for different reasons. That's something that we have to improve on as well.
This talk about individual actions, will Arteta finally allow some freedom back into the style of play and buy players that can take the ball and make something happen? Maybe it's the wake up to show him unparalleled autism isn't going to win a CL. Or at least win the league earlier so you can rest players and prepare for a month.
Morgan Rogers is definitely needed.

Why would he? Disallowing freedom and putting the whole team under strict regime control is what finally brought in trophies (okay, one out of 4 possible, but still).
Expect even more of the same

Need to offload saka. He's never won a final he's played apparently, memory is crap but I also can't remember one he's won in. He isn't a big game player. He's not consistent in easier games. I hate the sycophantic attitude around him like he's super great and a huge part of the team. Occasionally comes through with something good. Yet he's now the highest paid player. He's a rotation option at best in my opinion.

Liverpoo with Iraola is going to be interesting. Carrick is on the up. Chelsea will be interesting with alonso. City are an unknown force entirely. Aston Villa poking around still, Brighton looking strong, Bournemouth losing Iraola is a big hit and they're getting devoured by bigger teams poaching players, I think they're 12 or something.
Arsenal easy favourites given transfers are made. Rice needs a month or two off I'd say. I'd like to see more freedom and rested players next season. Less terrorball after scoring an early goal.
>>
>>154972534
Yeah, yet another contract blunder at arsenal. Nothing changes. I like the discussing of him moving position because that implies people accept he's severely underperforming. In a few seasons, maybe he'll get binned to West Brom.

Why are "fans" of "rival" clubs (trophyless season too btw) treating the PL trophy like some kind of tinpot? I wouldn't swap one PL trophy for ten billion Europa Leagues.
>>
>>154973700
99% of fans won't swap a prem for a champions league either. Especially if it's been decades since the last one. Europe is a joke now too since tinpot leagues like Ligue 1 and bundesliga can rest their players for 90% of the season to solely play them in Europe. And this season proved that whoever pays the biggest wages, wins. All 3 European winners had a significantly higher wage bill than the losers. PSG pay like 150m more in wages than us. Villa pay like 200m more than the team they beat. Same ratio for palace.

>>154973721
Just to add the obvious thing
Dembele only play as a starter 11 times in ligue 1
>>
>>154973731
Yeah, it's a joke. We'll see tinpot league teams get to the semis consistently from now on because they have literally nothing else to play for by that point. With the new format and all the extra games it's very tough for prem teams to go all the way. We played the most games in all of Europe by the final. People complain about the terror ball tactics but what the fuck are are teams playing 60 games a season supposed to do? Run around and burn themselves out by the mid point of the season?
>>
>>
>>154972551
Iraola will take some time to get going at Liverpool. I dont think they'll be back to challenging next year. Carrick massively overperformed xG and will have to deal with Europe next season. Man Utd will be in the mix but not too close. Chelsea could go either way since they won't have European distractions but after Real I'm not convinced Alonso will have them firing straightaway. Villa will be Villa. They'll have an easy run where they win a bunch of games and the media will hype them up before they run into reality. Brighton always suffer from mid-week European games and I'm pretty sure Bournemouth will drop off too.
>>154973301
And here we go. This is the reason why, despite everything I typed above, I'm not counting on >us to defend the EPL after a World Cup when most of our players will come back wrecked.

It's funny that people are treating Europa and Conference leagues as if they are some good competitions just to make the of Arsenal.
Hell, like you said most fans of every team probably except maybe man shitty think of the Premier League as the best trophy possible to win in a season because it is the best trophy.
It really shows that much of this hate isn't organic. Tons of other leagues fans are on it and they obviously can't understand that that their league is a meme and that's why they drool so much on the cl.
In the Spanish, French and German league they can literally rest as many people when they are about to play in Europe because they know the league is done. Compare that to the premier league where you can get fucked by every shitter team playing their hearts out each game.
>>
>>154973700

Their football is the exact opposite of uninspiring since they inspire all other teams to focus more on set pieces.
N boring? U dont know what boring is. Try watching everton or west ham if u want to see boring football. Excitement can come not only from watching technical players pass the ball about. It can also come from tactical set up n deployment. Imo artetas football is very tactical employed by very physical n technical players. This makes for a good watch (for high iqs like me) but a bad watch for low iqs who can only see what others tell them to see.

>"le bottle club"
>"0 ucl"
>"warra trophy"
>"youre no better than Leicester"
>"it took you six years to build up to 1 title"
And remember what their club's achieved this season. If you respond to it, they immediately start bitching about "w-we can still banter you lot," but its the same people who shat themselves everytime an Arsenal fan mentioned literally anything cuz "bottle club with 0 trophies."
They genuinely cannot process that Arsenal has won a major trophy, met their season minimum expectations, and has had a better season than their clubs by every single metric, and are in meltdown mode. Its both pathetic and intriguing, and proof why you should never engage with this sort of """banter""""

I'd like to see the club go make a statement signing, ideally in attack. Act like champions, get the Gold Watch. Buy a true star, and give the team as a whole a little more license to let their hair down, in attacking terms, not too much, the defensive identity of the team should remain central around the nucleus of Raya/Gabi XL/Saliba/Timber/Rice. But we should get someone who can create more comfortable wins through individual quality. Whoever that ends up being, Morgan Rogers, Kenan Yildiz, Julian Alvarez, I'll defer to the experts, just get them in. Flex a little.

LW has to come first. Likely have to gamble on unlocking some youngster because the established starters in top 5 leagues aren't of sufficient level.

He had the same amount of goals as Eze last season and like 5 more assists but with also 10 more games played, in a better team. We got Eze for 60m. Eintracht Frankfurt full-back Nathaniel Brown is attracting interest from Bayern Munich and Arsenal ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old German international, who has been included in Julian Nagelsmann’s World Cup squad, is valued for his versatility, having featured in several left-sided roles for Frankfurt, including at wide midfield. Brown is widely expected to leave the club this summer.

He'll be a benchwarmer. There's no way he'll start over Eze and Odegaard. If they're considering him as a winger he won't start there either, it'll be the Eze situation all over again. Really don't see the appeal of this signing. Doesn't fit into the team at all.
>>
>>
>>
>>154996928
>Doesn't fit into the team at all
I agree. We have too many players that need to be set up around or in the opponents penalty area but barely any players with the skill of getting us there. Rodgers would just be another player that we need to get the ball to in his preffered area / situation.
Eze did play on the left, in the run in, to drift inwards with Calafiori or Hincapie keeping the width. If that is the plan going forward then Rodgers could be a decent signing. But that would mean both Trossard and Martinelli will be sold (as Eze and Rodgers would be the new LWs).
>>
>>
Midfield is the big problem. Our midfield is probably mid-table level on par with Brighton, Villa, Everton, etc. And in fact even West Ham's midfield outplayed us in the 37th game.
If MLS is starting next season the we are not winning the league. Nice player and Hale End but he's not good enough and he hasn't improved since last season. Can't see him being elite, long term he will be sold sadly though it'd be nice if he did somehow become a CL winning level player. Zubimendi was supposed to be a Partey replacement and he started strong but nobody can say he was better than Partey for the whole season or as a signing right now. He was also meant to be our Rodri but he can barely get on the ball now. I would go as far as to say that El-Neny would have been better than Zubimendi. The club has to find another player like Partey or Jorginho.

The midfield is the problem. Extremely unbalanced. It looks good when we play against opposition that drops off and defend deep (like Everton). But we are not technical or tactical enough to pass through a high press. Especially not when Ødegaard decides to be injured all the time. MLS at least can take the ball and drive forward past some players like Partey used to do. Unfortunately for MLS he doesn't have anyone to pass to once he gets past.

The admiration for Jeremy Monga is massive. Understand we carried out extensive due diligence across numerous games, but two performances stood out: PNE away, where he showed he could impact senior football, and England youth matches alongside Dowman, Ngumoha, allowing us to benchmark him against the very best in his age group.
The feedback was consistent: elite acceleration, bravery in 1v1 situations, maturity beyond his years and the mentality to thrive at the highest level.
The pathway to first-team football formed a key part of discussions. Arsenal's belief in his long-term potential is reflected in the level of commitment we're showing to get this deal done

Gyok upfront with Noni and little Gabbi is our most potent anti-goals combination. It's shit. Gyok at least needs Calafiori pinging him some balls and he wasn't on the pitch either. We'd probably have been better off with Merino up top.

Not putting Merino on was an insane decision. He should have been on either instead of Eze or Gyokeres. Gyokeres for me should only have been subbed on for pens, but he actually touched and passes the ball more than Odegaard did (against worse players) so maybe he is getting better.

>Uefa coaches analysed & praised Arsenal defending in the #UCL final. “This led to a collective call for a renewed focus on prioritising defending in youth development – especially at a time of outstanding speed, physicality, technique and tactics on the attacking side.”

BREAKING: Arsenal are set to renew their partnership with Emirates Airlines in a new agreement that could see the club surpass the €74m currently earned by Real Madrid from their sponsorship deal.
[@AFC_Capital]
The proposed extension is expected to further strengthen Arsenal's commercial revenue and underline the club's growing global appeal both on and off the pitch.
If finalized, the deal would represent one of the most lucrative shirt and stadium sponsorship agreements in world football, marking another major step forward in Arsenal's financial growth.

if only fucking Timber or White were fit …. not even gonna blame Mosquera who did mostly well out of position and against one of the best players in the world.
FUCK Arteta though for ruining White and running down Timber AND not taking the game to PSG after the early lead. Still can’t get over the final, I’ll never forgive Arteta for that game.

I would hope so too. Maybe they could help expanding the stadium and getting through any loopholes also.
