need? ...not much you can do it it any setting. By your preference you can make the world more or less amenable to the situations you want I guess. IMO I like pretty standard fantasy set ups, but sexual situations are just a bit more common. Not to the point where they are no longer taboo, I think the taboo and social ramifications of stuff is hot, but you usually wont be run out of a village if you bag an orc, but people will still find it kind of odd.
But you could go more extreme and make the usual plant enemy suck your dick and every other yeti and goblin wants to rape you, but that is not quite my cup of tea. I like keeping relatively easy to remember tropes be applicable.

Depends on what you want out of the setting. Do you want porn logic smut world where competitive sex is basically the primary method of conflict resolution, or do you want something more grounded?
ERP games can be set in the exact same setting and worlds as a "normal" game, just during downtime you don't fade to black if the bard seduces the barmaid or whatever.

A more "realistic" take is to have the person connect to a neural mesh that functions as the ship's brain. I leave the "how" up to your imagination.
It'd focus the brain on something it would be eager to focus on, like sexual stimulation, to free up processing power, then use it to run it's own calculations.
Basically, a computer that fucks it's biological parts to skim off some of their brainpower.There's a reason they call it the "wet"ware.
It also automatically creates a potential lewd enemy, in the form of a rogue AI that kidnaps people to add to it's "mainframe", becoming smarter by fucking people silly.
Works as both a Geth-like swarm of rogue sexbots, and a ghost ship with a SHODAN-like central intelligence directing it's drones.
I've seen someone mention exploring derelict ships, and the latter sounds like the perfect antagonist for that kind of game.
You'd essentially be fighting the ship itself, and it's many autonomous drones, though you may not know it for the better part of the game.

bit that the pilot can't actually cum and has to edge and deny themselves, in which case it might be (at least somewhat) easier to keep focused as long as they don't push themselves too hard or get caught in a bad situation where they have to go all-out powering the ship.
Your wetware concept is pretty interesting too though, as are the potential enemies it enables (although I don't see why they couldn't still work against human-operated ships whose pilots actively try to not cum, or alongside them with different types of ship operating in different ways).
Also now that I'm thinking on the matter again, there's a plausible justification to have the job done entirely by women, in that they don't have a refractory period like men: in a wetware application they can keep cooming almost endlessly, and for edging/denial it's not as disastrous if they do accidentally cum because they can get back in action faster (though still needing a little time for the ship's systems to reboot and for them to think straight again).

That said, both are perfectly reasonable explanations as to why the battle is now considered lost.
A ship that has suffered a grid failure likely just lost all of it's defenses, and became a sitting duck, waiting to be boarded.

Hey, maybe we're onto something here. I've had a space pirate harem manager floating around in my head for years, but I always got hung up on how to handle the tactical side in a way that doesn't involve breaking out a battle mat. General gist was that you'd generate your crew out of a background, class and a couple quirks, stay out raiding for as long as they could keep their shit together, then head back to base to unwind and upgrade, with time spent in port costing docking fees on top of all your other expenses, pushing you to go back out ASAP. Might we finally be inching towards the coveted /lrpg/ sci-fi original?

Part of it is that I adhere to the one-handed play principle. A lot of it is that then I'd need a ship layout generator and AI plan for shipboard security that both produce plausible results. That's not just hard, it's also running a significant risk of devolving into room-clearing procedures checking every bunk room ad infinitum until it kills the mood. That had me looking more at line-based in-and-out rushes to the cargo bay, but I wanted the party getting split to be the way things start falling the fuck apart, and that was hard to get a good grip on with a 1-dimensional battlefield. Anon's idea of using derelicts cleans up a lot of that by letting you hold the tension without having to be all tactical all the time, but genre conventions also start pigeonholing it towards only the horrible rape monsters, which is why I discarded the notion out of hand, because I tend to prefer keeping them in the box for special occasions and using horny soldiers as the regular enemy.

I was working with buying skill upgrades with loot, to represent paying for training. I wanted a very tight loop of paying for healing, training, equipment and time spent getting those things with the same resource, and use that as the glue for the horror tension, the same way Darkest Dungeon has that creeping sense of dread that you're going to have to go on another mission eventually.

That was somewhere along the lines of what I wanted to do, have a "distance to (pile of money) that had to be crossed, with reinforcements piling in every turn, and the key tension was in keeping up enough volume of fire to not get overwhelmed now while also making enough progress to not get overwhelmed down the line. But then trying to strike that balance between my gun autism and not going full GURPS proved very elusive, and I've been floundering ever since.

If we're willing to tolerate a bit more worldbuilding, we could explain that away as working one specific remote debris field, or a single large derelict salvage, i.e. a lost colony ship chock-full of all sorts of goodies.
Add a little piracy here and there, along with corpos trying to make use of that legal grey area, and we have a conflict without

Interesting option. A lot of my original thinking was along the lines of Duskers, despite throwing away the derelicts option pretty fast. I want the Captain running command and control from the ship, because the dilemma of abandoning someone on a cut-and-run or risking everything to leave no waifu behind appeals to me on both the horror and horny levels. A node-based system like that strips out a lot of the complexities around managing field of fire, but it might just be time to accept that that's a damned endeavor without going full Lewd Kill Team.

May I suggest power armor, or even an exoskeleton/mecha instead?
Mecha is especially juicy, since it's a contrast between an almighty war machine, a veritable god of war, and a helpless pilot girl inside.
If her mech gets crippled, she's at the mercy of enemy soldiers, who'd jump at a chance to pay her back for the mayhem she was causing just moments ago.
