Everything that led up to this moment is some golden path nonsense.
Kurumi is the one that got Hikari into Vanguard
Hikari/Erika is the one that managed to help Akina survive being deleted by Suo
Akina's world saving feats led to Kagetsu choosing him and Nao as mystich fighters.
The universe contorting the way it did allowed Erika to come back as a mystich fighter and give Liael to Akina to defeat Gab
Defeating Gab removed the last barrier so that Kurumi can resume godhood

Everything that's transpired up until now is the result of Akina sharing that umbrella with Kurumi.
