I was in a Ravenloft campaign for nearly half a year and we were escorting a little girl. The DM roleplayed her as the most annoying little shit you can imagine. On one of my turns I said "when no one is looking I stab her in the neck" I figured since we were doing horror themes it would be okay, but these fragile people decided I would not be allowed back to play with them anymore. Fuck them.

I also regret paying loads of money for miniatures to practice on before painting Warhammer stuff to paint my warhammer stuff right.
That was stupid.

Don't make the same mistake I did lads. If you want to paint specific miniatures don't sweat the small stuff and get practice minis to prepare. Just paint the models you want to paint.

A player in my game tried to fuck with a door mechanism. I'd been running a lot of osr-style games and my osretarded brain said he should lose some fingers in the mechanism. This was a 3.5 game so these sorts of lethal dm rulings were not popular. My players were so upset that the campaign ended.

A sin I don't feel fully bad about...
One time when I was running a fairly linear dungeoncrawl
My little brother failed to spot a trap less than 5 minutes into the game. I rolled 4d6 damage, the damage was enough to kill his 1st level character outright. I fudged the numbers and he took a medium hit. (It was a CR1 trap)
I learned form this to never place a trap that would kill a character if I don't want the character to die. It doesn't matter how low the search dc is.

I intend to blow up my ongoing campaign this week because I'm tired of not DMing. The current DM is a mouthbreathing retard who never has anything ready on time, one of the players has it directly out for me because I, with encouragement from the group, sped up a combat encounter when it got close to time for us to wrap up (and then blew up at every single player for allowing it to happen, even though we were, again, trying to wrap up), and our attendance policy is so lax that I haven't been able to set up our session for 2 months straight. I should have given up after the first month, but I'm going to drown the entire group so they can learn the hard way why none of this is okay. Lust provoking image so no one reads this.

The only thing i'd tell myself from back before I started is that anything that looks too brittle is going to be and anything spear-like that's not chunky is going to break using just regular abs-like resin.
Oh yeah, and that pet food mats are a god-send to work on.

Did you also buy all your safety equipment? Babystep your way into using the thing by taking time to set up a proper work area and ventilation system. Silicone mats, gloves, paper towels, respirator, etc.

Once you do that, nearly every printer I've worked with comes pre-loaded with simple demo models out of the box, so you'd just need to turn it on, follow the instructions, add your resin, and fire off a print. Calibration can be a pain in the ass for some older machines, but default settings will generally work for most resins and most files. Worst fuck-up you can actually do with a resin printer is accidentally starting a new print before you completely cleaned off the build plate and then crunching some resin against the bottom of the resin tank and screen. As long as you don't do that by keeping your build plate clean and making sure there's no stray bits floating in the resin, you'll be fine.

I have been buying MtG cards from the Ninja Turtles set, and justify it in my mind by pretending there are people out there who dropped fat stacks on the Final Fantasy and Avatar sets only to join the anti-Universes Beyond crowd once a franchise they didn't like came along, and that I must make at least one EDH deck to spite them. I can't even remember the last time I played a game of Magic.
