H
I was watching lots of Shadiversity vids and I saw him do a secret technique that makes a sword deal 2x slashing damage. It's called Drokat, you gently put your sword on the other dude and then PULL. This is so a lot more damage than just regular slashing, it's insane, Drokat can slice raw meat in half.

Anyone figure out how to do Drokat in DND? It's just 2x slashing damage when using sword right?

I would just rule it as any method to do extra damage. a thrust to an important organ, a heavy slash etc. Give the player some debuff in order to enact greater damage. Decrease thier AC to increase their damage, representing them exposing themselves to get an advantage, or decrease thier to-hit to increase thier damage, representing the harder hitting blows being more difficult to land.

D&D doesn't let you do cool things with swords, you have to beg your DM for that.
The only cool things that D&D has out of the box are spells.

That's called a "draw cut" by people who aren't wearing three fedoras.
I believe it works better with a curved sword.

My sincere condolences.

Assuming you're genuinely retarded and not just shitting up the board, you do realize the other guy wouldn't just be standing there waiting for you to saw through his armor?

Curved swords are better for edge alignment in general. Especially the katana; a shame most of them were made of shit iron, but the Japanese had to work with what they could get.
