The thunderdome ran on methane from pig farts by the same logic immorta Joe could have had infinite fertilizer, infinite fuel, and infinite explosives, along with anything else that was mostly made out of ammonia.

In a worst case scenario ammonia can be used as a fuel source, apparently biodiesel is a thing which is made from ammonia. So in a someone Australian apocalypse setting, urinals would be connected to an ammonia distillery.

Immorta Joe, had a few more brain cells to rub together and not so much of a sociopath. He could have created entire chemical cults the voted to bring him back the Lost art of chemistry the masters of molding their world. He could have had a righteous crusade to not only attempt to revive the land with fertilization, along with bringing back the powers that are the chemist. As if speaking of them as some sort of mystical alchemist reforging the knowledge of alchemy.

Diesel tanks being retrofitted with piss jugs to run vehicles off of pure nitrous ammonia. Enough explosive ordinance to make Michael Bay say chill it with the fireworks. Warlords fighting over the best positions to try for their attempts to bring fertility back to the land so they could have farmlands. Warriors setting out to fine any type of information the bring back to the sediments to get a bounty. Entire colts and religions based around photosynthesis. Water warlords protectively guarding there waterways just to make sure every 'citizen' is slightly over hydrated.
