Anybody have experience selling to big stores that specialize in used/new stuff like TrollTrader, NobleKnight etc.?
And generally what's some good advice for gauging how much a non-Warhammer item is really worth?
I have some hobby related stuff from miniatures to books I don't want to keep anymore and I'd like to sell them.
Some are Warhammer 40k related and others are not.
I'm not looking for comically high profits like Pokemon scalpers are. But I'm not looking to be unfairly lowballed too.

Ive sold a lot to nobleknight, because I'm an idiot who does a lot of impulse buying (especially during COVID.) They're good, you definitely get a better deal if you go for store credit, and obviously you'd probably make more selling items individually, but who knows how long that'd take.
I'm never like "oh, what the fuck!?" When I see their offer. It's usually pretty reasonable.

Thanks for the input. I'll start taking pictures and getting things in order to sell things.

Same here.
I need to break free of this.

I've sold to Troll Trader and they're okay. You obviously won't get as high prices as if you sold stuff individually on an auction/flea market site, but it's a lot easier because you can just dump everything you have at one go so you can just think of it as a convenience tax.
But the best way to go around it would be at a gaming/nerd-oriented flea market if there are any of those in your area. Even if it's more of an unrelated genre (like anime stuff) just post what you're selling on social media in a way that your local community will get wind of it and as long as you're not putting retarded prices on stuff you'll typically be able to sell almost everything.

I guess troll trader and noble knight sound good to me then.

If there is a flea market oriented for nerds/traditional games then what's a good way to gauge the prices on stuff especially stuff that isn't Warhammer/TCG stuff to make sure it isn't stupidly overpriced?

Kind of an apple to oranges comparison, but how do they stack up against ebay? The 13% cut on ebay really sucks if you’re trying to keep things at a reasonable price. I’ve never even considered NobleKnight as a seller.

I mean, here's the thing: most of the stuff I buy, I buy used, never actually end up using it, and get rid of it. I don't expect to get a ton back from it, so the fact I'm getting money back at all for something I'm not going to use at all is great to me. You're probably running something like a 50 percent return, I'd wager. I recently got a bunch of Shadowrun 2e books, we ended up hating the game, and I'd say I sold maybe 350-400 dollars of books for 260, if I recall correctly. Could you make more selling them on eBay? Maybe, but then you'd also have to spend the time doing that, which isn't worthwhile to me.

Not sure if you're still around, I live in america, on the west coast. Selling to nobleknight, it takes about a week for the package to get there, usually 3 or 4 days for them to actually sort my shit, and then if you do PayPal it happens immediately, but there snail mail checks are high variable; I swear I've had them mailed and a Monday and get to me on a Thursday, and Ive had them take 10-14 days to show up.
