>honest to god 40k fans were saying this is racist Nazi imagery
They're redditors. Anything to the right of mao is a nazi. Nor do redditors play games. Accordingly they can't be fans off 40k. They're just secondaries.

>warhammer symbols or iconography
Only shows what a pathetic paypig you are.
>mtg symbols or iconography
Only shows what a pathetic paypig you are.
>D&D symbols or iconography

>pokemon or YGO symbols or iconography
Only shows how repulsively autistic you are

They can be whatever you want.
I generally just say "it's a seahorse" when asked about it.

Does anyone else thinks it's weird to put a mark of chaos on your skin
Like the idea of it
Inviting the aspect filth, lust, fury and such into your being
Same with berserk brands of sacrifice
I'm probably just too superstitious

The more common take is that the aquila specifically is easily mistaken for the nazi eagle. That's not a big stretch for those unfamiliar with WH. But it's not the same as saying it IS a nazi symbol.

For a double-headed eagle the first associations should rather be either Holy Roman Empire or Austria-Hungary Empire. Or Kolchak government.

It's generous of you to assume that average redditors are familiar with heraldry of the HRE.
I think it's the stylised simple design that trick people. If you see them side by side, or are already familiar with them, they are obviously not the same. But if you glimpse a stylised eagle tattoo I can see why many would jump to conclusions before they count the number of heads on the eagle.
It also doesn't help if theres an edgy quote in gothic script.

Nah, you've got a strong point. If you want to rationalize it, to brand yourself with an icon of self-destruction means you identify with that icon on some level and want to incorporate it into your life and will inevitably self-destruct.
It's sort of like how there's some logic to the "Sonichu Medallion Curse", as the only people who have an interest in securing and wearing a sonichu medallion have the same sort of personality that will likely end in a spastic, spiraling meltdown.

The word you are looking for is: edgy.
>>
>>97932313
Not exactly edgy - it's hard to call branding oneself with corporate logos "edgy" to begin with - and more that the kind of person who seeks validation and belonging from shallow corporate caricatures isn't going to be well adjusted in the first place

Don't get tattoos based off fictional IPs.
I think they're cringe.
Especially Warhammer 40k. For all I know it is still not very well known like Star Wars so people may get the wrong idea or just think you're weird in a negative way.
You might grow out of liking the fictional IP and want it removed.

Weird thing for me is that if it is just a small part of the human body a tattoo covers then I cringe, but if the body is heavily tattooed and somehow isn't like every wigger rapper ever then I get amazingly impressed.
I don't know why.

Do you own 40k models?
One anon responded to you or someone else doing the same thread policing meme as you are.
>>97916649
So where are your models? You can dish out what you request, right?

They are not corporate logos. They are logos of evil fantasy gods. Pic related is a corporate logo. Nurgle does not run a corporation in the real world, so his in-warhammer-universe rune is not a corporate logo, just a fantasy image.

It's a good thing that we are smarter than reddit so we are able to play TTRPG with references to the worst moments of our recent history wuthout jumping and screaming.

Caricatures of evil fantasy gods created by a corporation, yes.
>Nurgle does not run a corporation in the real world
Chaos is basically a corporation: parasitic, hierarchical, full of backbiting and self-sabotage, promises power but grinds you into a soulless drone that only exists to further the Corporation until you're an empty husk.
Nurgle even dies the whole "we're just like a FAMILY uwu" toxic positivity shit, I wouldn't be surprised if plague marines had to do walmart wagie dances before battle.

If GW can sue you for using them without permission (they can) they're corporate logos or at the least iconography belonging to a corporation.
Our corporate overlords aside, I have to agree that it's not edgy to get chaos tattoos. It's cringe, just the same as getting pro-imperial tattoos or filthy xenos tattoos.
That said, a grown adult getting a tattoo that commemorates their favourite hobby is hardly the worst thing in the world and I've seen some pretty decent hobby tattoos in the real world.
I knew a dude who got a dragonmark from Eberron done in that glowy tattoo ink - didn't look bad. Dude was way too into House Cannith though

Imperial Eagles are an evolutionary litmus test. If someone looks at one and believes it is Nazi iconography they should be shot in the head immediately.

Wow, just like ZOG.
