Even if wizards can't wear armor lest it mess with their spellcasting, doesn't it make more sense to wear gear suited to exploration and roughing it in the elements? Being instantly recognized as a mage doesn't seem worth it.

Since the aim of fantasy is doing what you want, you should just make your games how you want to play them.

A combat tactic paradigm in Shadowrun is, and I'm quoting here, "geek the mage first." It behooves the mage, then, to be as un-obvious as possible if they end up in a fight.

Assuming everyone is always going to be completely rational and not give a shit about being fashionable is brainlet shit and completely at odds with reality.

Also on a similar subject, if women actually fought boob armor would 100% be a thing, we have a billion historical examples of men wearing chiseled muscle armor that compromises their safety, or elaborate masks, or giant goofy codpieces, or just straight up fighting naked.

What's this? #8 or #9? How many fucking threads is he going to make in a row and then start replying to himself like anyone actually wants to discuss his vague fantasy bullshit?
