Interesting, seems a lot of sites are going ahead with the requirements. Unsure if that's to just back door all the data collecting in a way that seems protected ("just following orders") or if this is like a lot of the vaccinate mandates of 2021 where they are just getting ahead of the law so their be no slow don of work and business since it be easier to build up and enforce it now to drop it if unneeded, as opposed to not doing anything until it's past.

Right, that was always true however their were restrictions to how much they could actively fingerprint you. Right now the systems in place are trying to make it that web sites can more or less get all your data (Location, other sites visited, GPU, Graphics Card, etc) as well as actually activity the PC has. Until last year their were a lot of legal headaches in most countries, we are seeing that end. For most of us here posting toys, coomer lewd or otherwise, it won't amount to anything noteworthy, however in countries that are trying to fine or jail you for wrong think posts on the internet from hardware in your house this site could lose all it's value of posting anonymous.
