Thread #11750517
Spyro action figures when? That one Neca figure was cool but the rest of the characters were made to be toys, not Funkos and statues.

Dead franchise. As someone who grew up with the games and has the Neca figure, I wish it wasn't so. You're basically stuck with rando vinyls. There is the youtooz Nasty Gnorc if you like that. The Neca is cool, but I wish it came with accessories like the dragonfly, gems, an open mouth head with a flame effect.

It's a shame it'll never happen. I'd love toys of the OG cast (Mecha Red would be badass); I'd also accept TLoS toys at this point. Sadly, like anon above says, it's a dead franchise. Hell, we live in an era where people think there were only three original Spyro games, or that Cynder came from Skylanders; the odds of anyone caring enough to buy toys now are slim to nil.

Support the buildable Spyro over at Lego Ideas.
You can call it slop all you want and not even buy it, in which I am doing both, but the opportunity to send a message to higher ups that there is a demand for Spyro toys is not something to take for granted.
All I want are cheap 4-7 in figures made by someone like Jakks Pacific (they've done Crash in the past so there's some precedence there) so I see this as a means to an end.

>Dead franchise.
There are many dead franchises that get figures out of nowhere: Contra, Metal Slug, Sparkster, Captain Commando. So not all is lost. The only problem is the licence holder - Sony. Those guys must be pretty shitty with their licencing as there is almost 0 official toys of their shit.

and interest, because toys are still seen as childish no matter what and people that enjoy video games do not care about toys as much because the virtual experience was enough for them hence why pokemon is getting good toys now

Which is funny because I'm starting to feel the exact opposite about video games and toys.
Vidya, especially today, is expensive, content is light, and soul is nearly non-existent. Toys are cheaper and it's more satisfying to see and hold your favorite characters than only getting to see them on a screen. All my favorite IPs could die or stay dead but as long as they get cool toys, then I would consider their legacy truly complete.

what price of video games, theres a multitude of choices and platforms theyre very accessible and the price increases are for new sloppa that all look like cinematic masterpieces indie games are very cheap and easy to run on a phone nowadays

As a fan of scrimblos, I'm not blowing $450+ on a Switch 2 and $70+ on games that don't even have the data on the card when I could just spend $10-$30 every now and then on cool figures that I actually own. Remember that I'm only talking about IPs that are both churning out video games and toys.

No idea, but if they did do a modern one, he'd better be articulated enough for me to pose snorting a line of coke while eating sushi off of a cow chick's ass.

It sucks that even in the chance Crash were to get new figures for the other characters, Dingodile would be stuck with his TFB design as opposed to every cooler version before it. The original ReSaurus one was cool but damnit it, Dingodile needs an upgrade.
Twinsanity and that cancelled 2010 CTR's Dingodile are peak.
