When is the good OP going to return?
>>
>>11765365
I never was the one who maintained that DB.
>>
I love buying blank bodies when the character design appeals to me. simple as.

>>
>>11765384
Nothing wrong with buying a figure of a character that appeals to you.
>>
>>11765384
No way that doesn't get reused as a classic New Mutants Namorita.
>>
>>11765359
There really isn't a single iconic look or iconic version of a character in this wave. It's a real relief for the wallet. I do wonder what they were thinking assembling it though.
>>
>>11765359
who asked for that mold of Psylocke?
>>
>>11765433
All the Outback team-builders, I'd imagine. If you don't like it now, you'll really hate it when it gets a slight recolor and a new head, and is released as Revanche kek.
>>
I’ve tapped out on Hasbro offerings personally. Blokees are just better quality.
>>
Mostly the live-action guys I expected, but Mech Strike is something I'm not familiar with. Did that entire thing bomb, or is it just overstock?
>>
>>11765432
Not every wave needs to be loaded with iconic looks imo. In personally really excited for Dark Hawkeye.
>>
>>11765432
Well for three of them, I don't think they have another look and I am pretty sure that is Marrina's most well-known look.

NTA who asked about the Good OP, but a half way decent OP would drop shit after it becomes useful OR point out it's uselessness
But then again, ML doesn't have even a half-decent OP....

The last time I removed it I had people complaining that it was missing. There's no pleasing everyone, so just left it. Just because it's not updated doesn't mean it isn't good for legacy info.

Mech Strike was a theme the kid lines tried like 3 years ago. I didn't last long. That was before the Epic Heroes 4" thing last year or the year before that also didn't sell. And now this year it's Action Verse with a larger 4.5-5" size and the accessories on sprues like old school TMNT figs had.

Im shocked that so much product was made for these movies that there was enough to fill whole aisles of every Ollies in the US with it. It's like they thought 25% of the people who saw the movies would be buying action figures of the characters when its probably more like 1-2% if that
>>
>>11766695
This was more a result of Hasbro misjudging the market and severely overproducing a bunch of their product. If you look at the other ML waves that came out around this time, they suffered the same fate, Reto F4, AoA X-Men wave 2, Wakanda Forever, and the Avengers Anniversary stuff. All this stuff was produced around the same time. Hasbro, seeing a huge surge in sales during Covid assumed that this influx in new buyers were in it for the long haul and not just casuals who were only buying things due to having extra disposable income. This happens every few years, figures are under produced and therefore sell out of retailers, causing retailers to order more, making the manufacturers produce more, but then when stuff doesn't sell out manufacturers start producing less and so the cycle continues.

At the very least, last season got two releases, and they did just announce the punisher figure like a week after the daredevil one with very little fanfare, so maybe that'll happen again
Or maybe this is all they'll do, because this is a two-pack

Both DD and Punisher are far more A-list than Jessica or Bullseye. They will get released more often and can be reused or repainted so their new molds are more justified. Guess who is also going to get released again with minimal changes? That same Punisher for the Spiderman movie

The old face is good enough for me, plus I'm trying to just not buy any MCU stuff anymore, the Daredevil stuff got me because I really dig the character, and the current season has been pretty good imo. I'm still more of a fan of the Netflix suit than the Born Again one, even with the black, so I'm just not as inclined to buy another figure of that suit but in black, maybe if gets discounted.

Thank you. This is the first constructive response to this I've heard all day. I absolutely wouldn't mind updating the links to something that's more maintained. I do know the guy who does the imgur list lurks here or at least used to. I'll keep that. Post a link to the Legendsverse or another maintained database and the OP will be updated next thread. Provided I don't accidentally forget.

But seriously thank you for actually providing a constructive response instead of just whining.

The stylized proportions will never not put me off of these. Not sure why you're shilling them so hard.

Not shilling just showing the contrast between what each company is offering. Judging by the Batman hush figures it’s possible for them to do less stylization so if they ever do comic versions you might like those.
>>
Blokees seem like they're trying more to be play things, which I can understand the appeal of even if they're not for me

They’re $15 at Walmart
>>
>>11767184
Interesting. I haven't stepped into a Walmart in probably over a year at this point, so I was unaware of this. $15 seems more reasonable for what they are. I've only seen them at boutique shops like FYE, GameStop and Best Buy. I haven't actively looked for them at Target though, I assume they'd be $15 there too if they carry them.
>>
>>11767190
Walmart is a global partner from what I understand which is why they’re the true retail price there compared to other US stores
>>
>>11767081
They don't actually care. They're just looking for a reason to shit post.
>>
>>11766847
You bitch and whine about no Bullseye. Someone clearly and politely explained the business decision why Matt and Punisher make more sense to make since they can re-use them. Then you attack that person. What is YOUR problem?
>>
>>11767316
Oh, okay, let's be autistic.
There's about 15% of new shit in this Born Again 2 Pack, so it definitely isn't a money sink for them.
Secondly, Bullseye's MCU outfit is a muscle shirt and harness and balaclava and cargo pants, which means at most they'd only really need to make 2/5ths of a new figure, because either way they just aren't doing unmasked heads anymore regardless.
So if we're just speculating about Hasbro's internal decision making, they could've been selling 1 figure and the 2 pack by committing to slightly less than one entirely new mold, but did not. We can also get into how they had this Jessica 2-Pack prepped for preorder within 24 hours of her return episode, (but it's not even coming out for 6 months so who gives a shit) which they also should've done for the episode where bullseye kills all the guys in the diner, which in terms of media buzz, also got more attention than Jessica Jones coming back.
But once again, my "problem" is merely that it's lame that there isn't a live action Bullseye figure yet.
>>
>>11767322
how are you of all people accusing others of being autistic? damn. I honestly hope they never ever make your MCU Bullseye just to piss you off. People were just trying to explain things logically earlier.
>>
>>11767322
>Bullseye's MCU outfit is a muscle shirt and harness and balaclava and cargo pants, which means at most they'd only really need to make 2/5ths of a new figure
If its so easy and they have most the parts already, make it yourself then. It wouldn't take any hard painting either since the face is almost totally covered.

>>11767464
Eh, the 3-pack looks much worse and just has a smaller build overall by comparison. New body looks properly muscled now for DD without going overboard but he also looks properly lithe for someone who's known to be acrobatic. Honestly it's just the open/splayed out hand that looks weirdly sculpted. I mean even comparing it to the closed fist there, it's like an extra chunk of the wrist was added on the back of the hand, which is something I've noticed on some Legends figures with oversized hands having done my fair share of kitbashing.
>>
>>11766695
>Ollies in the US
Ollie's is barely in about a third of the US
Meanwhile, 99 Cents Only closed down in the West/South West.
Big Lots (which swallowed KB and a large toy liquidation company in the 1990s, for those who care about toy retail) closed most of it stores in the last few years and really only exists as a shell with a few stores owned by one of it's creditors (an equity fund, not even a bank and certainly not one of Big Lot's vendors) until they run out of the merch (most of which isn't toys or is crap toys) to pay off that debt owed to it. And those stores are all pretty much east of the Mississippi.
Burlington does exist in most states but has been closing locations of late and is known for a crap selection of toys in most states, unless you really love and want Spidey and Friends toys, you'd be finding little to buy at these.
TJ Max and Marshall is worse for adult collectors, and many of the stores don't even carry Funko or Fisher Price crap.
>>
>>11767469
>Eh, the 3-pack looks much worse and just has a smaller build overall by comparison.
Yeah, I think your right. compared to Max Spiderman its not as noticeable except for the open hand as you said.
The way they cut the butterfly joint deep into the chest doesnt really help but the bulky shoulders seem better for the overall build compared to the previous version

I said it once and I'll say it again, not every wave needs to have a bunch of A-listers. Personally, I'm getting three, maybe four figs from that wave. It's got three team builders in it to round off some teams, the newest Wolverine design which has been received well by fans, and the latest iteration in a set of legacy heroes in Ghost Rider. The only one I think is outright terrible is 90s US Agent because who in their right mind actually enjoyed that era of Marvel? Even the X books at that point were getting stale.

>>
>>11767750
Sure, there probably are staggeringly less fans of the actual character, but from what I've seen online, the general consensus seems to be that people at least dig the costume. Which is all I meant.

Just in case anyone was still curious, I got the Sp//dr Blokees in. Really awesome figure but had some huge pain in the ass pieces that had to go together. Its a little loose in some places but it looks like if you have the patience and time you can make some really great poses with it.

Peni does come with it but is unpainted. You'd need like a whole miniatures paint studio set up to properly paint it. Sp//dr itself is neat and actually lights up (although most of the light up effect is covered by the body pieces)

LMAO, his first run was a literal bootlegged version of the Ketch Rider.

Maybe that's why I liked it. Regardless, it was one of the actually positively received books from that era. Sorry you didn't like it. The art was cool from the Luther Strode guy.

This is an almost by the book shill reply. Reddit is literally swarming with these, similar grammar, content and all. The one that got me was gushing over Jason Aaron and female Thor. If this was Reddit that anon's account would've been created around or shortly after the time Google decided to make them their main source of knowledge. It would have literally tens of thousands similar comments posted.
Ignore.

I still don't know what makes a post "reddit" since I've never posted there or used the site beyond getting the answer to an obscure Google search. Sounds like you have more experience with the site than I do. Sorry that I'm not pissing and shitting my pants because this is a wave of less popular characters. I'm personally looking forward to adding to my Dark Avengers and Outback X-Men sets. Deal with it pussy.

Also, I never even mentioned dyke Thor. Did you even read the post you replied to?

Notice how he has to keep reminding people Dwight is still with the team
>>
>>11768425
Dwight isn’t making the move and is leaving soon
>>
>>11768425
I figure it's because of how Ryan suddenly got fired, if Dwight's absent people are going to assume the same happened to him
>>
>>11768438
Didn't he say he's been sick and that's why he hasn't been on streams.

Brand new day hulk and spiderman. Punisher will be revealed but won’t go up until after the “special presentation” airs on Disney +. Scorpion will go up closer to brand new days release.

This was supposed to come with a new tom holland head sculpt btw. Hasbro cut costs on mcu figures which they are not supposed to do thus a breach of contract.

Okay but know 2003 hulk is getting a figure for doomsday part 2 or whatever the fuck they renamed it to
>>
>>11768623
What the fuck happened to the sculptors, why can't they design a decent joint anymore?
>>
>>11768650
They don’t need to because they know it’ll sell without any significant retooling. Legends collectors have played themselves.
>>
Btw Hasbro won’t be holding the master license for domestic Disney properties soon. Hasbro really is getting out of toys.
