I feel the reason there's little to nothing of said thing in reference to mascots having humanoids at knee height is because when you add two and two together you get mostly extremes as a result.

Doll size is the best area for the difference when combined with the fetish faggotry that is macro, there's a good deal of intractability as a result and at least keeps within being applicable in most settings since in theory you could still fit them in most societal settings or potential areas; the biggest issue is that it's the ultimate grey area between being passable to a normalfag and near enough for someone who has extreme specifics in question to have their brain switch on, a person who has spent their time long enough on the internet is instantly going to be able to pick up that it's fetish faggotry or someone who's into the fetish based off of just by looking at it but that's besides the point.

if I were to rate it and I'm using something like the range of AC's newest iteration of animal villager heights
>waist height: passable for the average normal person
>knee height: varies depending on the context but generally fine
>ankle height: will come off as fetish content IF the exercises lean too heavily in areas like stomping, sitting, pampering, destruction, ENF, etc
>anything beyond this: has to be played off as a kaiju scenario or gentle giant with restrictions to their doings, if not then you're not tricking anyone
mega macro, sky scarper or similar are silly, being doll sized/knee height compared to the TDM in question is the sweet spot because you get to have that area of potential interactions that the bigger areas can't do due to the size difference.

Also character dependent but most art/doodles of it usually never follow the canon whatsoever so unless you're commissioning then you might as well give up because getting a on personality TDM are literal gems in rarity and even rarer for real good ones in terms of quality.

and to add, it's niche, for the times it does come along it's usually anthro or completely off model with the few exceptions that exist that prefer it to be as it is, which is then thrown into another dice roll of all the other sub fetishes that you may or may not like, be it vore or footfaggotry and the overlap for these two, independent of each other but highly associated with macro stuff in question, can easily be a put off if you're not one for it despite being the overwhelming percentage of content.

this is why it's a shit fetish to have if you just want bigger things "generally" whether they're being stupidly cute or similar.
