I don't have a lot of insecurity for my work insofar as I write it primarily for myself, and if I find it satisfying - which I do - then it is a success in the most important way. However, as time goes on, I find myself growing self-conscious of how repetitious playing to my tastes makes things. For example, perhaps I quite like kissing scenes, so I find myself writing a kiss each chapter, but there are only so many ways to write a kiss without going into the abstract, so perhaps laid side-by-side it will feel like the same kiss is happening over and over. Or maybe I like ass-slapping, so I go out of my way to mention asses being slapped, but maybe it starts happening so much that to an outside reader it has no impact. And worst of all, maybe sex is kind of repetitious, thrust-in thrust-out, but it kind of has to happen to have impact, and I'm not particularly deviant there, so it's not like each sex scene has some crazy context or fetish going on. I like my output, but I do wonder if there's a limit to how much "writing what I like" makes something enjoyable for others to read. I could read the same scene that appeals to me 100 times over, and I'm not inclined to write scenes I like less just for the sake of variety, but that may actually end up being a serious flaw in terms of craftsmanship.
