... no, you're the moon now, dood.
But I suppose if one condition is impossible, then you need to fall back on a possible condition in order to satisfy the conditional.
And I dunno if it'll happen. It might. I know it won't tonight because I want to get some extra (normal amount) of shuteye and that'll entail going around when teh hour turns.
But yes, I'm pretty sure NEDM was from YTMND. I think Pingas was too.

Pros:
You have gravity that can actually be experienced and measured.
You are used by reasoning creatures on the planet that you orbit in order to measure time in some way.
You are admired by these same creatures for your beauty.
You bear the scars of defending their home with your body.

Cons:
ur fat

I dunno, seems like it's half a dozen of one, six of the other.
Yeah, it was fun.

Eventually they'll add instead of taking away from your weight by splashing the regolith everywhere.
Did you know you can turn regolith into farming soil by using a fungus substrate?
Anyway, here's Wonderwa– another agreement as to the quality of your performance while we RP'd.

"Obese? I'll have you know it's an accretion problem >:O!"
Yeah, there's been all sorts of experiments on it. Now all they need to do is create an atmosphere on the moon. That should take at least a couple dozen cans of compressed oxygen so I think we got this one under control.

I should have added a few ) by the "O"-mouth in order to make it clearer that it's meant to be said with that out-of-breath fatty-voice.
I do think that would be neat. I kinda doubt we'll manage the kind of coordination required for that, but it would be pretty neat.

>I try to be optimistic but I get what you mean too. Although I think Artemis II showed us we can make it back at least so there's that and maybe then some if we can keep it up. I want us to become a (beginner) spacefaring civilization dammit.
>>
>>82321268
T'would verily be dialogue with weight, indeed. Wouldst be a statement bold and heavy.
Don't get me wrong. I like space. I think it's immeasurably beautiful and wondrous. I just wonder if we'll stumble out there at all with whatever time we have left here on earth.
Of course, that being said, I'll be jazzed if we even get like, orbital farms in my lifetime. That would be super neat.
Anyway, that extra sleep of mine does make its call be known with a true siren's voice, so good night.

Blessed night all you all otherwise too.
>>
>>82321337
>For sure.
>And yeah I get what you mean. It's not a matter of if but when, right? Like after the Space Race we kind of shelved things mostly which is kind of why I think Artemis is a big deal and all. And why I'm hopeful for it. You just got to BELIEVE!

Captain Avery, for his part, aspires to be like Stylistically Challenged Wolf.

*Someone* eventually caught up with Freeman.

That, Ne-class, is a superb start. You've even managed to steal the guns and ropes with which they meant to kill you.

Sunny kicks back and watches with amusement as the rioters turn on each other.

Scared yet, Chihiro and Jackie? You should be.

Thanks mainly to the Whiterun Guard's interminable anecdotalising...

Real pirates loot and steal, Varjaeger.

At least *one* of your lost pies, Captain Girlington, is now bloating and putrefying on the pier.

I anticipate a glorious dust-up if ever these two factions should meet somewhere ashore. There's definitely money to be made hawking tickets.

Perhaps Winda was concerned that she didn't already look ruthless enough.

You've got company, Captain Silent.

As far as Ruriko's concerned credibility always comes first.

Ne-class refuses to be a "faget".

Thanks to Pirate Chief's efforts the entire Caribbean is just that bit less gay.

Gendarme and Chihiro presumably plant their flags, shoot hostile glares at one another and roll up their sleeves.

Because of what it means for their individual shares though, Alpha, they're no less loyal and actually quite a lot happier for the experience.

You *did* limit yourself to organising it, right Captain Jervis?

Hope you like raki, Varjaeger.

Who knew Sunny and Brown were so touchy?

Massacring gay pirates is a wearying business, as the Chief well knows.

After Winda's earlier attack, Sakuya and Pirate Cat, the natives have learned to be wary of the noble Jolly Roger.

Pirate, Jervis and Diana have themselves a high old time only slightly marred by hits from the occasional severed ear or digit.

After receiving and reading Jungle Maid's preliminary assurance that both he and his army are "fagets" the reigning Skeletal Lord surrenders his sword and makes obeisance without a fight.

There's another one for your next outtake reel, Jackie.

Gendarme issues a standing order that all crew are to cultivate beards and speak only in the lowest and manliest of vocal registers.

Fifty (50) per cent off on good hearty slaves, Ruriko!

Jervis finds the waterbenders peculiarly unreceptive to becoming part of His Britannic Majesty's empire.

At least, The Silent, Alpha wasn't able to commit too many heinous depravities for which you'd catch all the blame.

Sakuya arrives just in time to see Alpha's vessel sinking into the depths.

She looks jittery, Captain Girlington, but she's as tough as a strip of old leather.

Best ask for a transfer, Hiro, because while you remain aboard your present ship you'll never hear the end of this.

Zoey has quite a flair for lateral thought.

That's right, Freeman. You'll allow yourself to be fired out of a cannon but you won't paddle along a river in an attempt to catch a cat.

Excellent idea, Timerra. That should prevent them resorting to homosexuality for a few more days.

Zoey's annoyed but Sakuya, for whom this was her second attempt to conquer the same islet, hasn't been seen since she locked herself in her cabin with a hogshead of rum.

Veronica and the Chief fare no better.

Link and Girlington are happily unaware of just how many people have already done the same thing.

Internet Pirate's sent his last cruelly taunting message.

As punishment for the life of wickedness you led, Kid, you are hereby sentenced in perpetuity to fill out unnecessarily complicated taxation and revenue forms.

If it was choice between this and cutting off his own hand the Berber Slave Dealer's reflexively clenching fist would already be in the water.

Link's crew has sailed far and seen much but never a cat whispering what appear to be orders into a sinister blind captain's ear.

Yeon, the Chief and Veronica civilly shake hands, enquire solicitously after each other's help and courteously part.

Girlington and Jungle Maid also seem aware that the friends we make along the way are the real pirate society.

That's the problem with successfully navigating the Triangle; the Silent's no sooner finished than everyone wants to buy, coerce or *beat* the information out of him.

Veronica's cook, one J. "Barbecue" Silver, loses no time seizing his chance.

Hoshimi's collusion with Jungle Maid left her with an appreciation for fair dealing and Link's not best placed to argue with the people who wiped out most of her crew.

The Berber may or may not employ a preliminary barrage of slaves to soften them up.

The sensitive members of Yeon's crew cover their ears and quietly sob.

Your newly acquired ship's crammed to bursting with unfortunates destined to be sold as chattel in the slave market, Captain Girlington. Time to make an important moral choice.

Or at least as close as he could get to them from his static and grounded position within the Moonbase, a quick and expert flit on the terminal confirming the military nature. And thanks to his usage of that fancy tool of his, he got a closer and proper eavesdrop in on the encrypted lines. More specifically he was now listening in on the lead ship, the Tip of the Spear, communicating with other warships.
(CPT LEO) - as good spot as any. Although I'm a bit concerned given that even if this base seems deserted, we should've probably done this on the dark side of the Moon instead to avoid prying eyes and ears...
(CPT DOU) Don't worry too much Hector, our Clarions and various scans have assured us that we're in the clear. 'Sides, the Admiral figured that one way or another, folks'll know our reinforcements are comin', so there ain't much use goin' outta the way to hide. Stand firm for now, they should be arriving soon off our flanks in a few minutes if the last fleetwide communique stays true.
(CPT LEO) We'll see...

>The Doctor stood over the computer terminal, his eyes lazily wandering to search the structure around him for anything more interesting than what he was listening to. But the big 'R' word quickly drew his attention in again.
'Reinforcements'?
>He repeated the word to himself, almost daring to sound shocked. He pulled the specks off his face again and stepped back to look up at the stars again, squinting, trying again to spot the UNSC ships lingering overhead.
What do you need reinforcements for...?
>He didn't really need to wonder. There were a thousand things he could think of that could warrant the idea. It made sense. But still, it was fun to be curious.
Most people would probably be scurrying to try and get *away* from here if they had the means, not bringing more people *in*...

>Indeed, the calvary was overdue if anything for the UNSC considering various enemies and developments they had faced and would doubtlessly continue to deal with in the future. And as if to answer the Doctor's question, one of the two captains saw fit to comment further.
(CPT DOU) I'll be glad to get more of our people here Hector. Between the Nazis, G-Corp, Imperium, and those Loran freaks, we have no shortage of hostiles who have it out for us. And that's not even mentioning whatever the Hell the future might bring for that matter.
>No major action from the Decepticons for one thing despite multiple warnings from a blooming ally...
>But the message was clear, captain Leone saying as much.
(CPT LEO) I agree with you Floyd. If we're going to stay in this Arena place and help the people out, we've got to strengthen our footing as it were.
(CPT DOU) Damn right. Hmm, hang on, I think they're coming now actually.
>True enough, a brief forewarning *might* be detected by the Doctor's Screwdriver or perhaps even the base's terminal itself in the form of a sudden spike in Cherenkov radiation. Not long after that, several cerulean colored and wormhole looking openings would appear high in the sky within the void of space a fair distance away from the already established UNSC frigates and destroyers! From their dark depths emerged 11 various warships, the lead one being an impressive heavy carrier affair that measured 2.5 kilometers in length alone.
https://youtu.be/1DB4PvAGoIM?si=Powa4LgT2YA4a-Js&t=85
>As the spatial tears collapsed behind them, the ships moved forward, the carrier quickly taking center position surrounded by its various escort vessels and pushed forward to link up with the rest of the spaceships. And soon enough, a newer and older slightly accented voice crackled over the comms to address his subordinates.
(VADM SPV) This is Vice Admiral Vadim Stepanov of the Conceptualized Awe to Arena UNSC forces, report.

(CPT LEO) We read you sir. It's good to see and hear from you.
>A gruff grunt from the flag officer.
(VADM SPV) Quite. Have your people send me another sitrep on what's going on here. I've already read the reports on the Arena at large but I want to know what's going on now and as of late five minutes ago.
(CPT LEO) Yes sir, I'll have my AI send it to yours for review in a moment. But to preface it, things appear quiet for now around this Moon base.
(VADM SPV) Good. The last thing I want is a complicated entry.
>So far things appeared to be going smoothly for the UNSC forces. But of course, they were wholly unaware that they had *an* audience with them on said "uninhabited" Moon base!

Oh, now it's getting interesting...
>The Doctor muttered out a breath as he watched the skies. The ships themselves might not have been easy to notice, but the flaring wormholes ripping through the fabric of space-time to birth out a fleet of new, and fairly massive ships. He let out a low whistle when he saw the size of what must have been the flagship of the new arrivals.
Look at the size of you, eh? They're not shyin' away from pulling out the big guns, not anymore. Suppose it makes sense though. What do you do when you discover you can pop your head on into a whole spankin' new universe? Send the boys with the biggest guns in first and hope they make it out alive...
>The Doctor, in his musings, had leaned in again to start poking through the computer again, hacking past whatever actual purpose it served to instead begin digging for information on that heavy freighter there.
A *Vice* Admiral? Fancy fancy. Bet he has the biggest room on the whole boat, doesn't he? But I'm more interested in seeing what sort of FTL capabilities that lot has managed to scrounge up...
>There wasn't a purpose to this, not really. He was mostly just finding some sort of pleasure in sweeping by under their noses and seeing how much he could turn over while he was there. If he actually learned anything 'important' while here, hey, happy accident. But he really just wanted to take a look under the proverbial hood more than anything else right now...

>The nominally friendly UNSC forces now had a proper army with them and then some with this battlegroup lead by the magnificent carrier of theirs.
>It was obvious they couldn't keep holding their punches however. Not with the aforementioned enemies they faced in the Arena. But if nothing else they had some allies, the Doctor being possibly included among them.
>For now it paid to verify some things. Plus there was curiosity to be sated, another bit of dabbling with the main computer and scanning the carrier revealing some things. The Awe came in at 2563 meters in length, 844 meters wide, and 736 meters in height. The mass was likewise nothing short of hefty, the warship coming in at 35000000 metric tons. Power output likewise indicated it made use of several nuclear fusion drives to propel itself. It might not be the fastest boat in the battlegroup but it compensated by boasting heavy titanium-A armor with the addition of actual energy shields.
>Getting a pin on the manner of FTL travel was a bit trickier even with the capabilities of the Screwdriver, a narrow window had only moments ago to examine it from afar. But nonetheless, there were some things to be discerned. Namely the wormholes were artificially generated via brute force and that they lead to the 11th dimension of non-space. In addition, such tears released large amounts of harmless Cherenkov radiation which gave said tears their distinct blue coloration. Naturally, getting an exact calculation on how fast they could move wasn't possible at this time but given the fact that they were able to show at all within the Arena suggested a respectable enough speed.
>It still likely paled in comparison to the Doctor's TARDIS of course.
>Just as well, things were getting busy between the new arrivals and the original UNSC ships, some docking with the mobile refit station as smaller vessels began to connect with each other in what looked like busy exchanges, new personnel and supplies being swapped.
>>
>>82326089
>There was only so much he could specifically take notice of from all the way down there, yes, but the basic details he was able to scrounge up intrigued the Doctor easily enough.
Ohhh, no, it's not just faster-than-light travel bnbn it? 'Course not, you need to bypass more than just light to get all the way out here. But even so, that must be one hell of a warp drive! It would have to be if it's designed to carry that big ol' brick around out there...
>The idle amusement of trying to speculate on familiar but still alien technology kept him on for a while. But soon the nature of what they were doing dawned on the Doctor again, how they were all merging and amassing to get more people, more soldiers, at the ready for... any number of things, really, as they've said.
>It made the spying Time Lord frown again.
This world is already enough of a ticking time bomb as it is. Last thing we need is open warfare. Then again, maybe it's too late for that already...
>It was hard enough to keep a hold of a timeline's natural course of being when time was behaving properly. But what with the way it worked here, or rather didn't work, it was often quite difficult to pin down what was happening where and when across the stream of continuity. Even for the 'Time Lord' himself!
No wonder they're getting ready to blow each other off the face of the planet. Again...
>At least that was the easier path...
>The Doctor lingered for a while longer now, just to see if anything else worth watching might happen. But if all they were ready to do was get the new boys to settle in, then he probably didn't need to stick around and risk getting noticed... or worse.

>Well, no doubt about it. This was definitely the moon. Yet from what she could gather, these didn't seem to be the structures a lunarian might erect. The architecture here was more practical and wrought from human ingenuity. That was putting it mildly, this was right ought of sci fi novel.
>Sanae sank down and seated herself upon the ground, letting her gaze drift upward between the stars.
Hmm.. What to do next..?

>All too true, the Doctor's personal examination being on the Credit: why try and break Einstein's ironclad laws of physics when you could bypass them by going through an alternate dimension instead? This humanity had built their (once large) empire off of such a thing, and the UNSC seemed ready to do more here in the Arena. If nothing else it was at least tempered by the fact that despite their clearly militaristic nature, they weren't here to conquer like certain other people and organizations from space. Although time and effort would surely prove this rather than any spoken word, and who knew what this Vice Admiral fellow would be like for that matter and what kind of a man he would prove himself to be along with the legion of fresh troopers and ships under his command.
>At the very least they weren't dropping bombs just yet for that matter, the Admiral speaking again to his underlings.
(VADM SPV) Everything seems to be in order so far. Good work ladies and gentlemen.
(CPT LEO) Thank you sir. Are we to investigate the Moon base?
>A pregnant pause, Vadim looking at the base from the bridge of his impressive starship. He couldn't shake the feeling *he* might also be under examination and consideration before speaking to his subordinate.
(VADM SPV) No. We have other matters to attend to even if exploration is one of our purviews.
>Although quietly, Vadim did want to see what secrets this Moon base might hold or if it was well and truly abandoned.
(VADM SPV) Instead we must focus on meeting with our latest allies and securing our limited holdings here in the Arena and expand to ensure peace and order.
>Allies like Yggdrasil, the Federation of Super Earth, SHADE, those Gendarmeries and whatever actual leadership they had beyond mere lieutenants, and perhaps even the mysterious and exotic Ebrietas and more. It was again clear the UNSC had plans in place and perhaps the Doctor could see the space organization on a positive path within the Arena.

Who-oooah!
>A tremendous clatter echoes through the station not too far away as a woman clad in a frankly excessive amount of armor finds herself crashing in to a wall at speed, slowly bouncing backwards before hitting the ground.

>Sanae sprang to her feet and hurried towards the sound.
Hey! Are you alright?! That looked quite painful.
>She would offer the woman a hand, although she was unsure how to steady someone in such bulky plate.

>>82326447
>Her attention would suddenly be drawn to an oddity in the dark. "Now what could that be..?"
>Something so out of place demanded investigation
>>
>>82326418
'Peace and order'... isn't that how it always starts?
>The Doctor couldn't help but look at all of this through a critical, even cynical lens. He never quite got along with soldiers, or authority figures in general, but nowadays it was hard for him not to be... in a word, bitter towards them.
>Still. They're far from the worst he's seen down there, at least so far. That would have to account for something. They were only human after all.
Well. Best that I slip away before the big man up there ends up getting curious after all.
>For now, the Doctor still held a... nebulous status in the eyes of the UNSC, as far as he was aware. And he had no reason to go and expose his true nature to them any more than he might have already. Otherwise, they would just go and assault him with so many *questions*!
>So, with little grand fanfare compared to the militaristic might of the UNSC, the Doctor would quietly return to his own ship at one point or another after he was done exploring the moon base below and slip away, now armed with the knowledge that there was even more boys with guns to worry about.
>Maybe someone on the ships above would detect a blip reading from the moon below as he took off into the vortex. But even if they did, it would just look like any other vague, meaningless signal that might ping out from all that tech down there anyways...

>Bringing enlightenment to the situation, either through shedding light to dispel the darkness or manipulating that which was hidden, the lost girl would reveal something most peculiar: at the most crudest glance, a rock, roughly the size of a large man's fist, smoothed by currents on its resting end whilst polygonal on the one facing toward the cosmos. The latter bore signs of wear on a glacial journey to resume communion with the texture of the former.

But perhaps with time and effort here in the Arena, and with help from growing and eclectic friends, they could prove themselves to be the best among them. Maybe even prove themselves in the eye of this friendly enough alien Time Lord.

>Regardless he was able to easily slip away undetected by in large, the sensor officer aboard the Conceptualized Awe detecting their departure as a small discrepancy in the otherwise still Moon base. Was someone spying on them?

Gravity? Wait- the moon? Astro-h-huh?
>Amelia can only blink in confusion at the rapid-fire statements- gravity is something that's only barely known to exist as a concept in Fire Emblem you know!
>Doing a double-take at the rock from where she stands, Amelia hesitates a moment longer to watch before trying to emulate it. She's a quick learner, on the plus side!

>And for the briefest of moments, the fledgling goddess would find herself staring at a world perhaps more alien than the one encompassing the station she stood. Washed out skies bore an oppressive light against naked cliffs and crags from above, while tidal waves as tall as the greatest skyscrapers she knew battered them unrelenting, having long crushed away any flaws or blemish unto the melted-textured earth. Here was a time before history itself, completely eclipsing everything she knew as though it were but a single grain of sand within a vast beach of eons. So vivid the thought, she would be smelling smells that had not existed when the first cobbles of the first structures of man were raised.

Gravity. It's the force that pulls objects closer together. It uh.. effects objects.. with mass.. hmm.. nevermind.. forget I said anything.
>Gravity in concept, she decided, mattered significantly less than learning how to move through a place that lacked it. She wouldn't bother trying to tell her the earth she likely knew was 400,000 kilometers away.
>More importantly, a discovery had just been made and a new person been met.
I'm Sanae, it's nice to meet you.

>This was no ordinary rock. Science and math were her usual domain, but she hadn't slept through every history lesson. What she now held in her hand was a shard of primordial humanity itself. A fragment from civilization's dawn. An echo of history.. that was inexplicably lying here on the moon!
>This is incredible! Had mankind had lunar bases before it could even write!?
>What a stupid notion. She chided herself for even thinking it.

>>82326930
>Months of this fierce duel between land and sea would flash by her over the span of two seconds, to still on a scene depicting the arrival of men. Old men. Not old in the way she typically associated, but an earlier conception of man, their gaits stiff and labored in the way an outdated computer struggled to match the performance of its successors. These old men rooted around the aftermath of the mighty forces which dwarfed them, picking out rocks and judging them. What would be the tool that she now held was taken from a shoal to be carried many kilometres into a vague, primal field whose features were only suggested by the vision she saw. It was there that the stone was placed against a primitive anvil embedded into the ground, itself little more than stone, perhaps even the first of its kind, where with an opposing rock of very roughly cylindrical feature, the birthing of a tool began.
>Tink! Tink! Tink! Minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, calculated slivers were chipped away from the core, leaving the form that now lay in her hand.
